They made a full-size prop of the Smart Brick X-wing and they rented the outside of the Sphere to show some kind of gameplay piped from inside the X-wing prop. That prop and ad space can't have been cheap. I wonder what the cost of this promotional experience was compared to, say, the cost of the F1 Drivers Parade where everyone was in full-size Speed Champions car props, and how it compared to the overall development budget for Smart Bricks. Ah yes... Emmasaurus. I made her laugh out loud once. She even dropped an f-bomb out of nowhere. Having already seen their marketing efforts to some extent, they sure paid a pretty penny for all that stuff. Hope it's gonna be worth it for them. 59 minutes ago, Napoleon3 said: Well, one more year from an eternity is hardly a difference, but at least you only have 2 more days until you get your Cad Bane figure! Yes, my first out of the box Cad Bane minifigure even! If it wasn't for my dark ages taking forever, I would have absolutely gotten him way back in the 2010 Clone Turbo Tank or his Speeder. Or even his other TCW version included in 2013's Starhooper set. But now it's ~99% finally happening and it will be glorious. 51 minutes ago, BrickBob Studpants said: The 45$ set is also based on M&G after all, and it’s the AT-RT! CloneCommando99 Posted Saturday at 09:18 PM Posted Saturday at 09:18 PM (edited) The M&G X-Wing will be $70. Hopefully we’ve got a TIE Avenger incoming to counter it. Kaijumeister Posted Saturday at 10:55 PM Posted Saturday at 10:55 PM With the AT-RT confirmation (I was sure this would just be a small and accurately scaled side build to the AT-AT in lieu of a speeder bike), I’m a little worried about how grey a lot of these TMaG sets are going to be. But I guess I can turn to Ninjago and Marvel for the colour! Crazy that we’re getting 6-7 system sets for the film, I can’t wait to see the supposed new Grogu mould too. Hopefully it captures his silhouette with the collar better than the existing mould this time. Quote
Lordhelmet Posted Sunday at 01:14 AM Posted Sunday at 01:14 AM 2027 is an exciting line up. 2026 could be (depends on how mando and grogu is). also interested to find out the summer/fall UCS set this year. I built the Starship collection AT-AT, that series is still one of my favorites, the executor, falcon, and AT-AT are my favorites so far but they have almost all been good. Hoping 75458 or 75451 is a Tie Avenger. Quote

The Sandcrawler and Lambda at least should be non-grey, maybe the Anzellen ship too- I know some people have said they've seen the in-universe one, someone please correct me if I'm wrong because I still can't find it- but yeah, both walkers are grey and I wouldn't expect the Crest to suddenly be rendered in silver here- though we might get those new stripes for a little bit of color. I wouldn't mind a single-piece mold if it gave him a more accurate size and shape, especially around the collar as you mention. 59 minutes ago, Lordhelmet said: Hoping 75458 or 75451 is a Tie Avenger. 1HY 2027 is still our best chance for a TIE avenger. It takes about 1.5 years minimum for lego to get a brand new system set out from starting development (as we see with the No Way Home set, probably the one they had the most incentive to push out as fast as possible), so if lego watched Andor and went "Ok, we need a TIE Avenger on shelves", that'd be the time. It's possible this is something like the Peridiea set- one that released only a year after Ahsoka, and something I suspect lego was given some indication on earlier but as a legitimate spoiler set couldn't be released until well after the show- but given how the Avenger was the most publicized thing for Andor S2 for some time, I think it's most likely that it didn't feature in to lego's initial plans. All that is to say while it's possible it's one of those summer slots, if it's not, the best odds (The best ones left- at least- the best chance for it would have been around the show's release) are still ahead. 5 hours ago, CloneCommando99 said: The M&G X-Wing will be $70. I agree with this, all the system sets bar the Delta-7B sound like something one would pick if they had to represent one iconic sequence from each film. I do hope the Bespin Duel set gets a similar price point as the DSII Final Duel sets and we get part of the carbon freezing chamber, tunnel, control room, and final platform represented. That would make for a brilliant play set. Quote

The former is our best bet right now, as the price point looks pretty spot on. Which is why the latter is even more like a pipe dream. Just when I thought Lego has found their footing in regards to the May the 4th GWPs again, they are about to turn the table yet again. However, since this might as well be just for the occasion, this return to brick-built only stuff may not indicate a whole new direction altogether. Except they decide to keep it that way for next year's 50th Star Wars anniversary too, but who knows. In any case, I prefer these GWPs with an actual minifigure... with or without some bricks. 9 hours ago, betaplayer said: Doesn't anyone else think it's unlikely we will get both busts and build able figures of the same two characters on shelves at the same time? The movie waves usually get a pretty solid budget, and from everything we've seen of the movie there's not a lot of new molds that'll be required, so they might have a shot. 9 hours ago, BrickPrick said: On a slightly more excessive yet exclusive note, the Cad Bane summoning has been successful and the cycle is now complete. 0 days until I will be building up bad boyo Bane... definitely. Or maybe the finally do the incinerator trooper from S1 I don't think they'd use the galactic marine piece. Clone Commando's talking about the fact that the TMAG snowtroopers appear to show off a removable heat scarf/shield over a mcquarrie-style snowtrooper helmet, which would require a new set of molds. As for replacing the normal snowtrooper helmet, it has slightly different shaping, and there'd be no need to use a dual-molded part when both subelements are the same color. My guess is if we don't get a new mold it'll just be the one they've been using since 2014. Those AT-AT driver type troopers might be new, but it is a little strange that we haven't seen a good look at any shiny new variants when most star wars movies have multiple and all seasons of the mandalorian have had one. At the very least, can we get a green-stripe poison trooper or blue-stripe tactical trooper to finish what we started with the red-stripe incinerator and yellow-stripe mortar trooper? Quote

Kaijumeister Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago @BrickPrick You got him! Now you can finally rest, and watch the sun rise on a grateful universe. Happy for you bud. @Mandalorianknight The lack of cool new trooper variants for TMaG is really odd. As much as new variants are driven by merchandising needs, I wouldn’t say no to cool new Lego minifigures with unique helmets. I always thought the reintroduction of Imperial Snowtroopers in TMaG certainly helped inform the production of the Galactic Marine helmet mould last year. I’d be surprised if it didn’t get reused, though I agree a new piece showing the helmet without the wrapping would be awesome. Hopefully the leakers will give a more concrete list of what sets we can expect this year soon. Quote
