I personally will wait for the 42218 harvester and 30736 seaplane, already have the 42132 motorcycle from 2022 so 42225 is quite redundant to me.

That harvester gonna be like the mini backhoe - with a free rotating arm, and i suppose the steering will be the only function

March images before January wave?

Yes, that's been a recurring theme in recent years, but usually January images come 1-2 days after.

I expect these sets are aimed at children who are too young to own the previous versions.

Good point, we can't be too harsh on the little sets. They're (primarily) meant to be gifted for birthdays and Christmas. In a sense they're the ones carrying the spirit of Lego as a toy first and foremost.

Also not really a new thing... 8810 in 1991 is a small motorcycle, 8210 in 1995 is a same size small motorcycle.  Just white and red.  I haven't checked how identical the builds are, but they are not far.

Though I'm sure we'll find out soon enough, I wonder whether the 1470H is gonna be the six-wheeled version, or the eight-wheeler.

The 8-wheeler looks similar to 42080. But the 6-wheeler has multiple wheel sizes which TLG tends to avoid.

Not unlike how 42225 is a essentially a yellow-orange reskin of 42132 from 2022 - I don't think that kids will mind, and personally I will admit that 42225 has the advantage of having the attached pistons (part number #6452846) and crank discs (#6452845) as opposed to detached pistons and cams (#4211483 and #4210759 respectively).

I'm hoping it's the six-wheel version, personally. It's more eye-catching.

I like 42218. It has a strong Technic feel from the past era, and the rest is not very interesting

It resonates with me too. Lots of playability for such a small and inexpensive thing.

There are too many cars now, leaving little space for heavy machinery vehicles.
Next year is an even numbered year without engineering flagship, with only a 1-8 supercar. 2027 happens to be the 50th anniversary, and odd numbered years are engineering flagship.
I don't know what the 50th anniversary of 2027 will bring, but I hope there won't be more cars and we can return to the essence of technic

Ok, i have now seen all the city sets. And couple of dreamzzz sets. It's really depressing to see technic slowly dying while other themes technic style sets thriving. Like this scorpion digger would be soo cool as an technic set:).

1280x2475.jpg

1280x2313.jpg

And city has new tractor tires:).

1280x1314.jpg

And turntable rotation functions with gear:).

1280x1215.jpg

1280x1228.jpg

Why technic has lost it's creativy and functions for cars. I really wish we could see racers line rise up from the ashes and take the technic car sets out of the technic line up:).

Wait nooo. The city fire truck has a steering🙀

Ok, i have to buy bunch of city sets and that dreamzzz set. Im really curious how that steering system is done in the fire truck:).

The city rescue helicopter seemingly has a button operated winch🤯

Ok, how this happened why technic is loosing it's spirit while in other themes the spirit is thriving:).

I wonder why TLG made new tractor tire for this wheel

250x250p.jpg?1658350213.1693058

and not for this wheel

Agreed, they look very low profile. Perhaps an IP partner required them?
