mpj Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago 12 hours ago, Timorzelorzworz said: That's really a shame on this set. It should be possible to modify this, using the motorized shaft from the coupler for the jackhammer and making the coupler manual Yes that was a more logical choice. Since the set was unveiled, I've never understood why they chose to motorize the coupler instead of the hummer. Quote
Anio Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago To motorise the hammer, the mechanism needs to go even further on the arm (beyond the coupler), which seems quite difficult to achieve. Such a mechanism would also be useful for one tool only (hammer) which is btw not considered as the main tool (bucket is the main tool in my mind). On the contrary, motorising the coupler is useful for both tools. Quote

I also wanted to motorize this function for a long time, so when the set is out I hope I, or someone else makes a MOD for it! Quote
Ngoc Nguyen Posted 13 hours ago Author Posted 13 hours ago (edited) Hi everyone, this is a video I've been waiting for from RacingBrick Edited 13 hours ago by Ngoc Nguyen Quote
msk6003 Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago This is 100% s*. I defenitely not buy this. 430$/539,900 KRW(387.48$) is crazy expensive. 400,000(287.07$) is optimal, and 30 to 35(215.30$~251.19$) is the appropriate price. Quote
Ngoc Nguyen Posted 12 hours ago Author Posted 12 hours ago Or just buy a 42121 and mod it into a 42215 at home. Quote
Timorzelorzworz Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago After seeing this honest video and the speed of that "functions" ... Well yes, this is the most useless model ever seen in Technic. Quote
SNIPE Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago I was going to buy this, now i'm not anymore. LEGO needs to learn. now im going to the pub Quote

LEGO needs to learn. now im going to the pub Tool swap is the most useless automated function ever. You can literally pull the rubber bands manually... I could justify slow speed if all 3 functions could be enabled at once (like on 42042 crane). Even for 240 euros (-40 off) I might better go to the pub. It does not even look phenomenal if it's main purpose is to be a shelf queen Quote
Zerobricks Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Sad to say but this might be the worst motorized set for me. Sure it's big, massive, detailed, but when you look under the surface, it's just too slow, underpowered and boring. Quote
Aleh Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago So it's not a joke it's not fully RC even?? So sad Quote
Ngoc Nguyen Posted 10 hours ago Author Posted 10 hours ago So I guess this set definitively takes the crown of Worst Technic Flagship from 42070. Quote
efferman Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago This is very dissapointing. This motorization is barely enough to make the positioning for the shelf. Quote
Jockos Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined. Not that I expected anything else, but seeing this... honestly I have serious doubts about the 50th anniversary. Quote
jorgeopesi Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago The best technic set will have a propper bucket at last, thank you for your service 42215. Quote
Jay Psi Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago It's hard not to join the pile-on, but whatever Technic is meant to be ... this ain't it. Quote
thekoRngear Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago (edited) Meh, dare I say the Icons Shelby Cobra 10357's review and the set itself looks more interesting than this 400€ overly-expensive set Edited 9 hours ago by thekoRngear Quote
Timorzelorzworz Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Sad that this excavator isn't a 2027 50th anniversary model candidate. Quote
Johnny1360 Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago (edited) Not much I can add other than my disappointment with yet another construction machine that can only perform one function at a time. Completely opposite of how the machines actually operate, not that I expect full on realism but it would be nice to be able to curl the bucket while simultaneously operating the boom. allanp Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago (edited) Lets just take a look at these instead: A beast maybe worthy of flagship after refinement?: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CW-Gw9zCQWg Smaller but still way better: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TCRINCCdczQ&t=19s Both of the above can still be refined, maybe with stronger compressors also. I'm not saying they are flawlessly perfect but they still perform far better, are more playable and are both more authentic. You'd have thought they would have tried to go forwards in terms of performance, playability and authenticity from previous flagship excavators but 42215 is no better. Oh, but the target audience, it's got to be easy to build and....and.......... Oh come guys. It's (apparently) 18+. Even so, maybe a child could design a more efficient gearbox from the same bricks, or maybe they could get far more playable and authentic results like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LSImXPycrrM (That's one proud daddy!) I really don't care what the discount is in future, the price is irrelevant, I'm never buying this. Still hoping for something going on behind the scenes, maybe there's some excuse for this we don't know about yet, maybe something next year they're much more focused on. Not knowing anything about that, this isn't looking good, there's no other excuses. Edited 7 hours ago by allanp Quote

(sorry little bit off topic.) Yeah, reminds me of the juicero juice machine flop. You didn't need the machine to make the juice from the packages. You can just squeeze the juice yourself from those packages:) Quote
Jundis Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago 34 minutes ago, allanp said: Lets just take a look at these instead: Interesting, indeed. Definitely, there is potential for pneumatics but we would need some new components, especially a pneumatic pump which produces constant pressure (rotary pump of some sort). And also a 90° corner piece with a male and female side to attach to a pneumatic cylinder and hose. Not sure, if it would be feasable for such big models, apart from the great effort of the costum pneumatic cylinders showing the usability. Back to 42215: The comparison of @kbalage with the 42100 is really fitting. For 100€ more we got nearly twice the pieces and 6 more motors. Same goes with comparison with 42082, which I highly regard for price/piece ration. Quote

Has CaDa cancelled your JCB? Or is it still pending… Your JCB excavator looks significantly better than 42215 and is actually RC! I love Lego construction equipment but unfortunately 42215 is hard to justify spending the $$ on Quote
