Love the look of the Slave 1, colorwise.
The shape looks great too, but since I'll be going for the playscale set, I'm not sure it'll get the same accuracy treatment.
But if the other one has proper color scheme and everything as well, I'll be very pleased :sweet:

Regards,
Mitch

A box image of the U-wing is out. The artwork looks great!

I know some people think the proportions are wrong and it looks small but I'm really excited for this set. The angle on the box looks much more attractive.

Agreed. I love it!

I believe this will be a bestseller. (I need this to.)

Is it true that the “UT-AT” with Galactic marines is not actually a “UT-AT”?

It’s a rumour which numerous brick tap sources are saying. But the figures are still galactic marines. But ultimately we’re not sure right now.

If it isn’t, my guess is that part of the build is a tri-droid with a very large domed headpiece (would explain the price)

What we do know is that Commander Bacara is actually in the set and has a new helmet mould. (Kenobi purge troopers incoming?)

Gorgeous box art, and a good look at the set. For the price point they were given this is excellent work. I would have preferred they went bigger instead of smaller, but like I said, at the price point they chose, this is a very, very good design.

Anyone able to tell the unhelmeted trooper's name? Looks like a two letter word, than either "Trooper" or something starting with H, then assumably his last name in either case.

My guess is it's something in the form of "CX Trooper Avok", but it's possible he just has a three word name and his first name is short.

We just don't know yet. There were rumors that it was something else, I think generally a "Republic Fighter Tank". The one thing that's held firm is that it's a Galactic Marines set.

My personal theory is that it is a UT-AT, but the set name is "Republic Fighter Tank" given that the UT-AT's pretty obscure and lego's been trending towards buzzword set names rather than the actual specific names. (Or I guess specifically, my guess would be that the name's more akin to "Republic Fighter Tank with Ki-Adi Mundi and Commander Bacara with the Galactic Marines versus Separatist Battle Droids and an Octupurra Tri-Droid"

Do we know if the new mold for Bacara will be dual molded?

Edit: I'm thinking of the galactic marines who are with Bacara. Are they getting new molds?

Chopper, Logo and Jango Fett helmet got leaked.

They all look good. I won’t buy any, unless one of my friend wants one so I can get to the May 4th GWP threshold.

The Logo is gonna be a neat shelf warmer.

The U-Wing is a strong contender for my favourite SW set this year! The other May sets look good too, especially everyone’s favourite war criminal :laugh_hard:

I may still be one of the few people who actually likes the logo sets. What can I say, I’m a sucker for icons, emblems, flags, and logos! I want a buildable logo for every theme I collect!

The U-Wing looks excellent, the box art really makes it pop

Chopper is a must-buy too, I have last year’s R2 and at this rate I might just pick up Threepio too. I’m still not a fan of how much buikdsbles are seemingly clogging up system slots, but there’s no denying they look great and at this point, comprise their own little subtheme.

Jango’s helmet looks pretty decent, and as a build the logo is well executed although albeit completely pointless for me. With clearer images of Jango’s Slave I it looks like he’s getting an alternate hairpiece too!

Glad to hear Bacara will be getting a new helmet too.

With the Uwing box art is that a new stormtrooper design it doesn’t look like a normal one to me. Wonder if it’s a hint to a future set. I would be breaking some rules if I expressed my true feelings about the logo set. Chopper it’s just another buildable droid that no one asked for. For the Jango helmet it looks cool but very similar (at least to me design wise) to the Mando one. I think that so far U wing is the best set of the year, but it’s the best of a bad year so far imo

Love the logo set. I don't think I am going to acquire it, but it still looks awesome - even without the minifigures.

The Kenobi sets' box art featured an accurate ANH Vader minifigure, complete with red lens and cloth over his shoulder armour. Didn't happen, to my great disappointment (Tantive IV set had a wasted potential for including this minifigure)

The U-Wing looks surprisingly good considering it's clearly downsized from the original.  The boxart looks great and I'm eagerly awaiting the full high quality versions.  It's going to sell well, especially due to the decent minifigures - I just hope it's not too ridiculously priced.  The others look decent, but they aren't of any real interest to me.  It's certainly an interesting mix of sets so far this year, although the UCS Slave 1 is by far my favourite to date!

Do we have a UK price for the U-Wing set?

Bricks Up is saying £59.99. I think the U-Wing looks great. The logo looks pretty much what you’d expect it to be. I recall someone saying there was a lever for a function so I’m wondering what that could be for.

You know what? I actually really like the logo. It looks extremely well-built, but also surprisingly clean. I don't have a problem with it having no minifigures.

What I do have a problem with is the price. I mean, come on. This does not look like a 70€ set, especially without any minifigures. It could be worse, but I believe that for sets like these having a low price is essential.

Huzzah. Looking at the large pieces in this set, I’d argue that’s a fair price.

I think you’ve spent too much time in the Aslume.

I think the first word is ISB.

Either way, I’m happy my Agent Kallus and 3 Death troopers will have some new co-workers.

I don't see the appeal to the Logo set. If Lego had started a brick-built logo line with classic favorites like Johnny Thunder, Rock Raiders and others and made the Star Wars one based on the original box-art logo I think people would be all over it. But just the words "Star Wars" in the SW font is definitely going to be a shelf warmer.

We now have some 2026 news

  • 75421, $70, 7+ (Mandalorian Movie set)
  • 75423, $100, 7+ (Mandalorian Movie set)

I’m going to be honest. If these are in USD, I think these are likely starfighters and at that price due to Tariffs.

  • 75436, 6+
  • 75437, 7+
  • 75440, 18+
  • 75441, 18+
  • 75443, 4+
  • 75448, 6+
  • 75449, 6+
  • 75452, 10+ (we all know damn well this one’s going to be another Buildable droid)

I like the amount of play-sets in this list. If we substitute the obligatory Clone set 50% we might even get some Andor and Rogue One stuff.

How do you know which ones are playsets though? Or do you just mean non-18+ sets?

Pretty sure it’s just the combination of the lighting with the head-on angle.

U-Wing looks fantastic. The X-Wing canopy looks better scaled than on the 2016 model. Still, it’s a shame it’s even smaller, but for what it is it’s good. The one and only set out of this wave I’ll definitely pick up (unless Kylo’s helmet blows me away).

Jango’s helmet looks like an amalgamation of components from previous helmets. While it looks alright, it’s design doesn’t seem to be innovative.

Chopper is okay. I do find his eyes are a tough too small, but at that scale there’s not any other options.

Star Wars logo? Eh.

This is a good point- I think they have to. I don't think lego's able to print either all the white or all the red onto that helmet. I guess we can count that towards new molds as well.

That makes sense- probably "ISB Agent (name)", "ISB Trooper (name)", or "ISB Handler (name)". Though I feel like if they're bringing in the Handler concept Dedra fits more as a handler and the guy wearing armor fits more as an agent, so maybe not that last one. I just want to see Dayja onscreen.

I look forewords to buying this half off. Though I said that about the UCS Hulkbuster and while it did reach half off I still couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger.

I don't think you can assume any of those things aside from the 4 6-7+ sets likely being system playsets. All we have are prices and set numbers, not even piece counts.

Well, that's a way to get a small bread and butter Original Trilogy set out this year - paywalling a TIE Fighter as a GWP with the $1000 Death Star. Just like paywalling a small bread and butter Star Trek shuttlecraft as a GWP with a $400 Enterprise.

7+ and 6+ usually aren’t Buildable characters. 10+ are.

U Wing looks awesome, hope they have stock for May 4TH.  (I am planning on getting two, one for kids one for me that day)

Chopper looks fine, I don't get the buildable characters though

Star Wars logo is surprisingly good, won't buy it, maybe if it was 30 dollars I would to have a sign for my displayed sets, but without any minifigures there is no reason for me to buy it without significant discounts.

Was there a rumor for the Death Star GWP?  I haven't seen one yet.  I already am planning on the set, but that would be a cool gwp (and it should be a good one considering the price).  We are really over due for a Tie Advanced too (unless they have one in the set) - but I would prefer a $30 dollar version of that in 2027 for the 50th anniversary.
