  1. I've never had any interest in alternative brands (and I kinda keep judging some but maybe those aren't the high-quality brands you mention) but I wouldn't mind seeing and reading about them and I think having a subforum for other brands would be best. The main focus would still be on LEGO, I expect, and visitors can easily opt to look at the subforum to check out MOCs etc. using other brands, or not and stick with LEGO. Someone mentioned MOCs sometimes being made using several brands mixed together and that might create some difficulty, but maybe they could be posted in the general LEGO forum as well? Regards, Mitch
  2. Greetings, everyone! It's been a while, but I just wanted to 'drop by' to comment on the news of the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday wave. The Sentinel set looks great and I'll definitely get it. Too bad Cyclops didn't come in that one though. Love the Magneto minfigure in it and, aside from the better legs for Mr. Fantastic, he's probably my favorite in this set. I noticed LEGO updated The Thing as well, giving him a bare torso. Too bad he comes in the weakest set (aside from Cyclops' inclusion). And then there's the New Avengers Tower with an accurate flaming Human Torch I really want that minifigure, but I have no interest in the build itself (though exterior-wise it looks quite good). The Thunderbolts/New Avengers don't interest me that much either ) The Doctor Doom minifig in all these sets looks great too, much more menacing than the 2014 one and the one that will appear in the Advent Calender. Too bad a version with printed arms is locked behind the Bust which is... not great. The mouth area looks really weird, right? Regards, Mitch
  3. Hello all! Bit late to the mix, but what a lot of Pokémon sets there'll be in the coming months. As much as I love Arcanine and however great the set looks, I'm gonna skip it and save room for the Pokéball. It's interesting they chose a Picknicker as a trainer for Red to battle. I would've figured a Youngster made a bit more sense. Of course, Blue would've been even greater The pokéball itself looks great, as does the interior. I love the battle field. I only wish Oak's lab would be a bit bigger. The minifigures and accessories are fantastic too. And of course Pikachu and Eeve Can't wait to get this set. Regards, Mitch
  4. This looks like a really great set, I do have a few nitpicks about some of the minifigs Kirk does indeed seem more Chris Pine than Will Shatner. The bridge looks great, though I'm not too sure about the transporter room yet. I like how it's somewhat modular, at least the large piece with the Klingon face on it. Not too big a fan of the function to make chairs and/or consoles move like they're hit by something, but it's a nice feature in general. As is the 1701 piece count Regards, Mitch
  5. It looks to me more silver-y as well. If so, I think it's a good sign LEGO is trying to make more sets in that color. Perhaps this could lead to a Naboo Royal Starship Regards, Mitch
  6. Dang it, those Cap looks absolutely brilliant in the Helicarrier Winter Soldier's head is very well done, too, but otherwise I do not see much appeal to the minifigure compared to the current ones. Same with the others, really. Nick Fury even only has a new head, I believe. Not sure about Hill and Coulson. The latter seems like it's the same as it's previous version, but Hill does have some differences which seem nice. The build itself looks good but I have no interest in, still being very satisfied with the current S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier. Regards, Mitch
  7. @BrickBob Studpants and @brickbride, you make good points. The bridge set will certainly be something to look forward to. And who knows, an actual Enterprise may appear in the future I did actually skip the Enterprise-D, even though I, indeed, grew up with TNG and it, and the subsequent movies and Picard are my favorites of the bunch. Maybe those minifigs will appear later in smaller sets as well Regards, Mitch
  8. YESSS!! Make it so! (wrong captain, I know ) That would indeed be great in my opinion too. But the color of the leaked torso seems much TOS blue than the blue used in SNW. It's interesting, if true, that for TOS they're 'only' doing a a bridge and not the entire ship as well. Surely the vessels are a perfect candidate for LEGO sets of any size. Regards, Mitch
  9. That makes sense, I guess. I know, but I'm pretty sure it was 'advertised' as a seperate set. False leak it is Regards, Mitch
  10. Molded Eevee definitely looks good! Can't wait to discover what the other Pokémon will be and how they look. I also saw a rumor, yesterday or something, about a set of Prof. Oak's lab coming with minifigs and molded Pokémon. Has that already been debunked? Can't find it anywhere now, and noone in here has mentioned it Regards, Mitch
  11. YESSS!! So much potential with this type of sets! I don't mind if the minifigures aren't accurate length wise (Mario with mid-legs or Luigi with Woody-legs etc.), this is gonna be so great. If they keep going with some of the larger scale sets, that'd be fine, too. The Mario Kart sets are very nice all in all. Regards, Mitch
  12. Nice! Does this mean we might also get PS-games related sets, some day? Regards, Mitch
  13. I get it, I suppose. A matter of nostalgia? To be fair, I only watched Dragon Ball for the very first time somewhere last year and it got weird kinda soon, for me. So I didn't even finish it Dragon Ball Z is pretty much what I grew up with and I just love all the Super Saiyan stuff Regards, Mitch
  14. I mean, the series never made much sense when it came to type advantages, if I remember correctly Not sure which I'd rather have, though. Somehow I watched the series before I played the games and as a kid never realized the series was based on the game instead of the other way around, and I guess that sentiment always kinda stuck with me Regards, Mitch
  15. Not really sure what tot think of the trailer, either... I agree with the last three sentiments in this topic that it does not feel like a Green Lantern series at all and Hal Jordan and Jo(h)n Stewart behave nothing like what I anticipated from the comics and animated or live-action media. In a very general sense it does seem like an interesting story, but that's about it. I read earlier somewhere that this series was supposed to be a more grounded story, and I can only guess that's to save costs on special effects/CGI (or whatever it's called these days ) and that will really hurt the show and (needless to say) is what takes away the GL-part of it... Still, apparently Sinestro and known characters are said to appear, so who knows. Regards, Mitch
