The official looks for the 2000's Pirates imperials was both epaulets and backpacks. I mean each to thier own but I don't think it looks bad. The epaulets were a bit thinner than the jackets, and the backpacks coming up behind the "neck" combined with the hats helped to hide it. Trust me. Go put two neck brackets on a clone trooper. They look absurd. 3 hours ago, THELEGOBATMAN said: I don't know if LEGO Star Wars just isn't for me anymore, but this is genuinely the most boring wave I could imagine. There's literally nothing here that would make me feel even the tiniest bit of excitement. Clones, Clones, Clone Wars, Clones. Same here. I really, really hope they course correct next year. If the buildable were OT or ST or Mando or SOMETHING, all the clone stuff wouldn't bother me, but it's essentially your only option for the wave. Not much info in that big post of details. The two big things appear to be: Turbo tank's number of figures isn't as bad as it could have been. 5 figures + 3 droids is the same as the 2022 AT-TE, so while still not good, it's not the 4 minifigs and no droids that was rumored. The snowspeeder actually sounds kind of cool? How?!? I don't know if the duros is a deep pull from legends but her lightwhip/chain lightsaber seems good. As for the vehicle itself, it sounds like a fun toy. I don't think I'll buy it, but it actually sounds like a fun toy for kids, unlike most of this wave, which is just absurdly priced clone collectibles aimed at guys in their 20s. I'm in my 20s, I like clones, I don't need them to be the entire kriffing wave. Edited Tuesday at 12:07 AM by Mandalorianknight Quote
Darth_Bane13 Posted Tuesday at 12:40 AM Posted Tuesday at 12:40 AM I think this summer wave could be decent with a V-19, UCS AT-ST, and Galactic marines, I need pictures before I cast judgment though. Quote
icm Posted Tuesday at 12:53 AM Posted Tuesday at 12:53 AM The only summer set I'm really looking forward to is the playscale Jango Fett's Slave I. I'm cautiously interested in the V-19 and the UCS AT-ST (?), but the hot-rod snowspeeder better be a friggin awesome build that revolutionizes T-47 set design to justify its price tag. I'm worried it'll just be another 2004-2019-style T-47 build at an absurd markup. Quote

It can fit a speederbike inside of it, whether it's full-sized or not I wouldn't expect it to be a faithful T-47 so much as a vaguely T-47 shaped ship. It is interesting that this is now the second time in the past decade lego has given the T-47 a non-canon color scheme. The only other time I can think of them doing this at all (besides the early days where they used more colorful bricks but intended them to represent the onscreen vehicles) is the "Jek-14's starfighter is basically an E-wing" thing. 23 minutes ago, Darth_Bane13 said: I think this summer wave could be decent with a V-19, UCS AT-ST, and Galactic marines, I need pictures before I cast judgment though. The AT-ST could be pretty solid, though I do find it funny that even when they give an AT-ST two seats it still only gets one driver. I'm sure the V-19 will be a fine model, this is just such a clone-heavy year that it doesn't do anything for me. Quote

Ditto, it's going to be a cheap year for me unless the DS ends up being amazing. It's odd too because I'd really like a Jangos Slave 1 and this is the year for it but I'm not interested in either of those. If it was similar to the 20th anniversary Bobas I'd be excited for it. I don't want a large UCS version and I don't want a janky, scaled down version. My preference of good size/ quality system scale sets has been phased out at this point. It's not a thing anymore. Wait, who said the hot-rod T-47 can carry a speeder bike? You're right, that sounds like something "vaguely T-47 shaped". At this point it could still be a banger of a set if I can somehow talk myself into thinking that it resembles classic nonlicensed Space sets of yore, but that's *unlikely*. Quote

I expect the V19 to be downscaled compared to the last model. Don’t know if that will be good or bad as I’m not really a fan and never really seen the ship in action. i get where your coming from but imagine the outrage of releasing Bly in a set and then not having any of his legion. We would all be getting the pitchfork out and moaning about Lego not doing the 327th. Maybe they should have just done one legion and saved the marines for another year Quote

Still strange to see the little price gap (15/20) between this and the new Battle Pack at my location. Last year the gap was almost double (13/22) that. Yeah, the asking price of 35 bucks for both sets remained the same, it's just weird to look at. Because i don't think a Microfighter should be that closely priced as a Battle Pack is. Even though this has been the case for a long time (10/15) before all the price increases. I dunno... this is a odd one to me. 4 hours ago, CloneCommando99 said: You’re here! You’re right here! TotoMagnus Posted Tuesday at 10:46 AM Posted Tuesday at 10:46 AM AT-ST sounds promising to me. Pity that there is only one pilot. Kinda ironic: In 2023, the 40th anniversary of ROTJ, there was no „real“ UCS Set to celebrate the movie. Sure, Red 5 is in the movie, but it’s more or less a cameo. Since 2023 it is now the third ROTJ UCS set (nearly) in a row. So next year a B-Wing then? Or a new Shuttle Tydirium? 😅 The rest doesn‘t interest me. 2 years ago I would have bought a 327th Battle Pack with a smile on my face, but these days…gone they are. Consumed by Darth Clonefatigue. CF Mitch Posted Tuesday at 03:16 PM Posted Tuesday at 03:16 PM YES! The Slave I comes with Lama Su I feared it would be Taun We again (which it still could be, if the original info providers didn't look properly, as has happened before ). Sizewise, it's compared to the previous Slave I (not counting UCS Jango Fett's and the microfighter) which seems very small. Not sure how they're gonna make that a two-seater... The interior of the Juggernaut sounds a bit... meh. I'd have liked something a bit more command center-y, which I believe it's also used for, occasionally. Otherwise, still sounds like a great set The RTG Snowspeeder sounds kinda interesting, too. If anything because of Solitas and the chained lightsaber. Regards, Mitch Quote

Given that a good hundred pieces are going toward the cart and likely to "over-detail" the ship, I'm beginning to believe this set will be the blue colour-swap of the '21 Starship™ that many speculated on and wishlisted for all those years ago. (I specifically remember MandR complaining multiple times it wasn't a Jango's Slave 1 since it would've lined up with the anniversary in the year following. An MandR wishlist set among a wave of MandR's wishlist–well, except for the UT-AT.) Fascinating how my opinion is slowly morphing. At first I was intend on ignoring this set's existence. However, if it does scale perfectly with the '21 Starship™–a set which I happen to own–and it does include a Prequel minifig I'd love to have, I'm more interested than I was a couple of months ago. Of course, if it does match up with the 2021 Starship™, the obvious Bantha in the room would be that price. Quote

Imagine already having or buying the still available 75333 Obi-Wan's Jedi Starfighter to compliment the upcoming Jango Fett Slave 1, only to end up with a pair of Taun We's. It would just be ridiculous and something even Lego can't screw up, can they? Confident the leaker got it right and there are 200.000 Lama Su units ready, with a million more well on the way. Personally, it was always obvious this new Slave 1 model would be more comparable size-wise to the 2021 Midi-scale Boba Fett model than anything else. Now with a confirmed side build for the stand being included, it might just as well be an even more detailed color swapped ship. It certainly won't look good next to my much bigger 20th anniversary Slave 1, but oh well... Can't pass up the opportunity of finally getting a Jango Fett minifigure. Quote

Don’t know if that will be good or bad as I’m not really a fan and never really seen the ship in action. The V-19 being downsized will make it more accurate to how it is in universe since the 2008 one was massively oversized to get in the pneumatic wing fold/landing gear lower/retract function. I hope they've still got the wing fold/drop ability in it with a more simplified/better design just as how the new X-Wing and ARC 170 achieved their S-foil mechanics. I don't know if I'd expect the set to have a landing gear since it seems most of the designers at TLG have dropped adding that as a feature to most sets anymore. I'll be curious on the fig selection for Kenobi and Ventress. The new Phase 1 clone pilot helmet is perfect, but the remaining two figs could be interesting. I remember there was an April fools bingo card pic posted that had a lot of the spaces with some crazy claims at the time. One of them said that the Ventress and Kenobi figures would be based off 2003 Clone Wars, which I'd prefer but understand others might not. Thing was that there were a lot of wildcard claims on there that ended up being more possible according to the flow of leaked info. However, time will tell. Hilariously the Azure Angel set from nearly a decade ago that gave us a Ventress fig has torso design that's directly from '03 CW but the face is undoubtedly '08 CW inspired. A lot of people overlook that but if you take a look, you'll see it. Still happy we're getting a V-19 as it is long overdue. easily one of my favorite ships since seeing it back in 2003. Quote
CallumPears Posted Tuesday at 06:38 PM Posted Tuesday at 06:38 PM (edited) Catalogue pictures leaked for V-19 and MTT! Wow ok they look good. Obi Wan and Ventress are both based on the 08 TCW (not 2003). Both look incredible, as does the pilot. Nice arm print on Obi Wan. Commando droids look identical to the old ones. Aayla is a lighter shade of blue than the 2017 version and I'm happy to say she has normal eyes. The MTT's droid rack has a really nice-looking feature with how it folds down, much more accurate that the older ones, but the obvious downside of only holding 6 droids. No picture of the Slave 1 set but we can see Lama Su and he looks great too Edited Tuesday at 06:42 PM by CallumPears Quote

BrickBob Studpants Posted Tuesday at 06:54 PM Posted Tuesday at 06:54 PM The V-19 and the MTT both look great, as do the minifigs! Lama Su, Bly, and the Clone Pilot are the stand-outs to me. Also looks like they brought back Ventress’ old lightsaber mould! Quote

Maybe a little shinier than usual since it's a render. Speaking of this though it's weird that Ventress's are plain LBG and not any sort of metallic colour, even just pearl silver. 1 minute ago, BrickBob Studpants said: Pics of the “Snowspeeder”, buildable Ewok, CTT, and Slave One are out there too! CallumPears Posted Tuesday at 07:13 PM Posted Tuesday at 07:13 PM Happy to say that the Marines do indeed have their backpacks, with the same build as the 2014 Snowtroopers (1x1 tile on a 1x1 plate with ring) Not so happy to say that they have white legs. BrickPrick Posted Tuesday at 07:14 PM Posted Tuesday at 07:14 PM (edited) Now would you look at that... It's working! It's working! I was hoping TCW Obi-Wan gets the full printing treatment (akin to Mace) and he looks splendid. Really liking this trend of Lego finally giving some main characters their much deserved arm printing. Ventress looks cool as well, though i would still have preferred a skirt piece instead of using regular legs. The clone pilot helmet is just plastic perfection. Glad to have the final confirmation for Lama Su. Good to see they didn't cheap out on the new moulded head piece. The tiny bit you see of Jango implies no arm printing as reported, but it could be due to the lighting , so who knows. The new pauldron looks to be a rather great fit for Bly. Aayla looks pretty similar to the 2017 figure, but do they use a lighter shade of blue for her skin tone? Can't wait to get a better look of the Commando Droids. 327th Troopers are looking alright. Yep... already a good leak week indeed. Woah woah woah there, spoke too soon... The Galactic Marines and Bacara helmets look rad as hell. Master Enormous Forehead (like Aayla) is too blurry to properly compare it to the last figure. All it took to pull out all the stops was one catalogue leak. =) Edited Tuesday at 07:27 PM by BrickPrick Legendary Leak Life Quote
