You’re probably right, but just looking at the character designs from the concept art, I hope you’re not.

I know some of those designs are rough. Although I wouldn’t pass on Daredevil in that all black suit or Spider-Man in all white costume from trailers. If it is 4 heroes and 4 villains my guess for minifigures would be:

Heroes: Spider-Man, Daredevil, Doctor Strange, & Niko

Villains: Norman Osborn, Scorpion, Doc Ock, and Shocker

You forced them to recreate you as a minifigure? Without paying the $12 fee? That’s greedy.

I could see light medium blue working for Cap, so long as he has red boots to go with it. As for Iron Man, classic red and gold don’t mix well for his design, since the LEGO gold is too dark compared to the classic red. I feel an Iron Man using red and classic yellow would look better visually; even if you lose out on the metallic vibe, it worked well in the comics.

Hey, what’s wrong with purple and blue Hawkeye? That’s a legendary design and I will not hear otherwise.

Agreed on the rest. I gave BP from the 2022 mech just a spare Batman cape and he looks perfect.

I think you’re hitting on a key of good design: so long as it captures the essence of the character, that’s all that matters. It’s why I’m happy to see the FF in 2025 at all. I’ll probably buy comic versions should they release those minifigs later on, but I’m thrilled to see those characters finally acknowledged by TLG.

It's only $12? I'll pay the $48 right now to get my -Kaine, Daredevil, Moon Knight, Luna Snow- in the oscorp set.

It could work better, but honestly I dont have an issue with pearl gold and classic red. It's not perfect for the 60's style, but it works fine as a "modern retro" style like the Earth's Mightiest Heroes cartoon. I think I'd be fine with either though, I just want some more iron men that are classic red instead of dark red.

Nothing against him specifically, it's just the most different and out there. Instead of mainly being a color change it's giving a suit to a character who essentially doesn't have one in most modern stuff. I'd still buy one.

Not a bad idea. I always thought the cape added a lot to black panther in general, it gives him a more kingly feel and a more unique silhouette.

I understand the general premise behind this- most superhero characters are ones I would only want/have one figure of- I think the only ones I have multiples of at the moment are spider-man, batman, and iron man- but my issue with it is a situation like Moon Knight where the MCU character is a substantially different design/character from the comics. Like the Mark 85 is pretty close to his comic look, Cap's suits are pretty spot on with what he's sported in the comics for awhile, etc, but Moon Knight never wore wrappings. I had it in my head that the F4 MCU suits were primarily white for some reason, but they're mainly blue and have the circular logo so if they stay close enough to the comics I might pick them up and just cross my fingers for a bigfig Thing.

I guess it's possible, but I hope not. I don't really like what I've seen of the show or any of the designs (can we stop trying to "modernize" peter by making his first costume bad and making him stream/use social media?), so it'd be salt in the wound on preventing a modular oscorp.

I will say though, while I'm sure they won't actually deal with this in the show, Spidey straight up killing a guy onscreen in the trailer is hilarious. It might be the most overt "that man is dead" onscreen moment from a hero who doesn't kill in recent memory.

After the What If sets flopped I don't think we're ever getting animated marvel lego again unless its snuck into a CMF (see: possibility of Spectacular Spider-man in the Spiderverse CMF)

We just got two sets based off of X-Men ‘97 last year.

I agree that What If's failure doesn't correlate to "lego won't do anything for any animated marvel stuff", but I also think '97 is a unique situation. It's based off an old serious people were very nostalgic for, and it was the first time lego brought in the X-men in a decade.

I don't think the new spider man show is going to receive the same level of attention that it did- since it's spider-man, I suppose it's possible that the apartment and oscorp are show based since they can kind of safely assume spider man sells no matter what, though.

I know the leaker is saying the Oscorp set is comic based, but I feel there's a good chance that set and peter's apartment are actually based off new Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man animated series. That show looks like a comic book come to life and it revolves around Norman Osborn mentoring Peter Parker. Oscorp tower was already shown in trailer. LEGO made (3) sets for X-Men 97, so the animated Disney Plus show's are clearly on table for sets to be made. Only way it makes sense to me for LEGO to make these playscale location sets and they aren't 18+ modulars.

I hope not. After seeing the trailer and concept art from the show I have zero interest in getting any sets from it. I prefer Lego just sticks with the classic character designs from the comics.

Any Guesses of what the D2C this year will be now that Oscorp is ruled out? Aren't we supposed to be getting the D2C in October btw? I thought remember hearing that.

Also, My Guesses for the Oscorp Figures:

Heroes: Spider-Man (duh), Spider-Gwen, Mary Jane (reused parts and she's technically considered a "good guy"), and Daredevil (black and red suit similar to his shadowland costume)

Villains: Green Goblin (duh), Norman Osborne (reused parts), Venom, and Rhino (big fig)

My ideal choice would be the Baxter Building but with Arkham likely taking the modular spot for this year I think the more realistic option is going to be a SHIELD Helicarrier remake.

I mean it was never likely to be a modular anyway given Arkham. I expect it won't be a minifig set at, though it could be something like the skyline or shadowbox. I'd expect something like a Helicarrier like @wesker said.

I assume there‘s a D2C set coming, but we haven‘t heard anything yet. No set number, no release date, nothing. The only reason to think there even is one in the first place is that they‘ve been a yearly occurrence, but there‘s no guarantee :shrug_oh_well:

Yeah, Peter's apartment sounds way too good for LEGO to make.

Also, I don't know why people think every rumoured Spider-Man set will suddenly connect to the deli. It's a Spider-Verse set, and they wouldn't mix those with random comicbook Spider-Man ones.

If they ever make an extension for it, it'll have to be another Spider-Verse set.

TBF one of the longest running modular series is the Ninjago ones and that started as a tie in to the LEGO Ninjago movie and is designed to connect with ones based on the show. Probably a way more stark case of that as the sets based on the LEGO movies are functionally licensed whilst the rest of Ninjago is completely in-house

Cyborg Spider-Man is going to be included in a new book.

Is that a thing from the comics, or did Lego just make it up? And, more importantly, does this mean we’re going to get Cyborg versions of his villains and friends kinda like the Venomized everyone craze?

It’s a character from across the spider verse! This is so cool and presumably will look great next to the upcoming cmf characters

Looks great!

I've seen suggested that the white on the face is a misprint though. As it doesnt align with the eye.

I feel Harry Obsorn would be included, especially as he would also probably just reuse pieces. I just hope that Harry and Norman get a new hairmold for their distinctive hair as seen in the Daily Bugle "vote for mayor" screen.

There is no confirmed X-Men set coming that we know of. However, there are multiple sets for which we do not have names or descriptions, so it is possible that one of them will be an X-Men set. We just have to wait and see.

I do hope that a Sentinel is included in a cheaper set sometime, as it is a very good build.

No. At least none that we know of.

But there has been no rumour, tease, or anything like that.

So is the consensus that it's unlikely but still possible?

🤞 Then

Still seems more likely than my dreams for DC! Really wish they do more versions of Jason!

With the upcoming Spider-Man sets covering both comics and older movies and now a "LEGO Spider-Man: Explore the Spider-Verse" book, is there a chance the CMF is not based on the Spider-Verse trilogy and is instead based on everything Spider-Man related?

It could be in spider-verse but I don't think that's what it's from. The spider-verse movies had a "cyborg spider woman" character but she didn't look like this. It's entirely possible I missed a separate guy who looked like this, since there are a billion spider men in that movie, though.

It's a thing from the comics- he gets pretty messed up in a fight and someone fixes him- the eye is actually just an eyepiece and the arm is a cast. This specific one is 1:1 with a suit from the insomniac games that's gotten a lot of merch for some reason.

I hope so, but AFAIK leakers did call it "sony's spider verse" or something. That said, they also said that the next Batmobile was a Batcave, so it's not impossible.

Cyborg Spider-Man is not an Across the Spider-Verse character.

It's a regular variant from comics, that has appeared (for example) in Marvel's Spider-Man video game as a costume.

Yup. The comic one isn't even an actual cyborg, he's more like if Peter put half an iron man suit on for medical reasons.

That‘s quite a neat Spidey variant! :sweet: Kinda silly though how they had the budget to give a book-exclusive minifig a printed cyborg arm, while poor Bucky got the short end of the stick

Also, I still find it hard to believe that Ultron‘s not included in the Quinjet. There‘s no other AoU set in that wave, and the only suitable mooks to include are Ultron sentries. Including a sentry or two without Ultron anywhere would make little sense to me. Unless they leave out the sentries too and treat Quicksilver as the antagonist in that set, but that‘d be a bit far-fetched

Wow, a set of three superheroes buildings(perhaps even attachable to each other) instead of random spider-vehicles is a breath of fresh air!

A possibility I've seen online is that Peter's apartment actually goes above the Miles set.

Good choices, just I think Shocker is not in the show. There is a similar character which is actually Scorcher (and would also be a good pick for the figs).

In fact I don't believe it. A $120 quinjet can't have three minifigures. There are always inaccuracies in the first information from January

I don't even think this particular one was IN spider-verse. They had a cyborg spider-woman but she's some sort of hulk thing who doesn't look like this.

It's not impossible but I agree it's very unlikely.
