Official images are now leaking. As expected the book ends fold upon themselves to become a book nook, but it doesn't look great that way.

Not sure why Lego didn't just call this set "Book Ends: Hogwarts Express" instead of trying to shoehorn all the sets into a similar label of book nook

Privet Drive comes with a normal aunt Marge too. Also Dudley's bedroom is included.

I like the Aunt Marge face print / regular figure. It captures her well. Petunia on the other hand was better last time. Her alternative face being a massive smile? Quite out of character. This has to be a generic female face reprint from somewhere.

Harry Potter seems pretty good this year.  I have never really collected much Harry Potter sets but this years sets have caught my interest (privet drive is pretty well done as is the tower, and the night bus was good). Lots of good minifigures and designs.

Privet Drive is objectively better than the last one (besides Petunia's face), and I liked the last one. But if it's really $90 USD RRP? Woof.

Pics are out. I take back what I said based on just the sketch, Fawkes looks every bit as bad as Hedwig did. And baby Fawkes looks even worse than drone Hedwig when that should not even be possible.

The Thestral family look hideous but then that's kinda the point I guess. And what even is that blue and yellow plant thing? Still miles better than Hagrid’s motorcycle accident.

Otherwise (and apart from QQS in the DA set) this wave seems to be a fairly solid effort, though overpriced across the board. I'm not planning on getting any of the sets tbh.

As an aside, with the Creator Unicorn Castle out it would be really easy for LEGO to make a set of Hagrid’s Care lesson that involves a unicorn. Or just a random unicorns in the Forbidden Forest set I guess, since the Ron and Hermione one didn't correspond to anything Canon either.

The first Petunia face was pretty good for Petunia, but not Maarva.

Since it’s essentially a bent version of the 6L bar with stop ring, I could see it being used in quite a few sets in the future!

Sweet official pictures.

Chomping Monster Book of Monsters: It's alright. I  like the overall shape and design for the the rough edges. From a side profile though I think the previous one was better. Am intrigued by the pull back function though. If it can actually chomp on its own than it might actually be worth getting. Nevil is meh.

Thestral Family: The baby looks horrible but the adult thestral looks pretty good. Really like how the head was built. Still a pass though (not getting any buildable creature after the disappointment that was the large Buckbeak).

Dumbledore's Phoenix: Adult fawkes doesn't look that bad, not my  cup of tea but better than the Hedwig in a similar style. The baby version is horrendous though and (besides the face print/sticker) the sorting hat looks like something that came out of the Phonix.

Quality Quidditch Supplies and Ice cream parlor. It is a new piece for the nimnbus . As to the insides there isn't much going on in the ice cream parlor but its nice that they include seats. Love the inside of the Quality qudditich supplies. Feels busier then the D2C version. Only thing I don't like (and just noticed) is the gear on the outside. That has to go. Getting  better look at the figures can't believe that brightened up Florean. Same out fit just brighter color.

Herrbolgy: Not much to add. Love the back of it and closed up look. Could get a second and push them against each other.

4 Privite Drive: I'm. so glad they included a regular Marge beside the blown up version. All the figures look good except for Petunia's face. Not only the smile but also the lack of wrinkles. I mean the actres was in her late fourties when  POA released. It's cool that they included both Dudley's bed room and his spare (aka Harry's). I wish there was more room inside so that the table wouldn't double as the kitchen counter but that's a small nit pick. 

Main tower: All I can say is wow.  The box doesn't do the set justice for just how massive it actually is . In love with it.

Do we know how many main additions to the castle we are getting? Does anyone have that picture from last year that shows them all together in the background?

Edit: Based on the image from last year it looks like there will only be one more addition? That's a bit of bummer if true, I was hoping it would contain more than the 2018 Hogwarts model

That really does look incredible. It really makes me hope we get expansions for the Astronomy Tower and Clock Tower as well.

I missed out on the last Privet Drive set so I'm glad to be able to pick up this one.

The brick-built creature sets never interest me but the Thestral one in particular looks horrendous. I can't imagine that selling very well.

The image didn't include The Flying Lesson set so there's a good chance that it's just the bare minimum of what we'll see released and that we'll likely be getting at least the Clock Tower and Astronomy Tower as well.

Boat house is also not connected. This Hogwarts castle will be huge, the main tower stands 67 cm tall :o.

I think that Main Tower has convinced me to start collecting the Hogwart's castle, it far better than the Great Hall, which is also very good set. I like the fact it has more rooms, the Gryffindor common room looks lovely and I think I will replace the challenges room for Charms and potions classrooms, since I preffer to have Hufflepuff and bathroom rooms. On the YT videos of Harry Potter sets, most of the youtubers claims, that herbology class will connect to the Hogwarts castle, do you think it is possible? I can't see any attachment points.

Yes and yes. But aside from the set number 40770 and that it will have 202 pieces there isn´t much known about it.

I’ve just come to the realisation that the Main Tower is too tall to fit in my display cabinet  I was planning on removing a shelf to give it the needed space, but it’s still like 4cm too tall and I don’t really want to remove the top section! *sigh* On top of the cabinet it goes I guess! It’s almost too high for that even!
