When we accept review offers, we have the set numbers listed, but when the packages are shipped, there is no information about the actual contents of each package, at least if you're in Europe. There are other regions of the world where additional shipping documents are required which might reveal the set numbers inside. So if you have multiple "active" review offers that have not been shipped, you won't know exactly which sets are in the package. You can of course make guesses based on the size of the box and the weight, but you won't know for sure. I was expecting the June Technic sets and two batches of City sets for this week, and received a delivery with one box, then another with two boxes. To my surprise, the first delivery contained half of the City sets, the second delivery contained the Technic sets and the second batch of City sets. I don't make unboxing videos like this, but I could have been really surprised at the first box. Since 2012 when I joined the program, I can't remember any offer that was split into 2 without warning, with half of the sets one day, and the other half of the sets like 3 days later. The only missing set I can recall is the 42113 drama. I can't remember a time I have been mislead by a package. With the email offer, the DHL notification including weight, the tracking number and finally the shape of the package when I see it, it has been literaly impossible to me not to know what was inside the package before opening it. Maybe I have X-ray eyes. :p Quote

And again, all I can say is that you shouldn't make assumptions and accusations based only on your own experiences when you don't know how things works with other people. Maybe others receive lot more offers than you, or similar sized sets from different themes, etc. I have received many generic sized packages, including 1-2 sets that could have been any of the previous offers. Sometimes the sets come in the order of the offers, but sometimes they don't, I was surprised a couple of times in the past. 8 hours ago, Auroralampinen said: I have question, can you review the lego 60466 first. Im really curious about that model, because its the first city set with piston engine:). A few other sets have an earlier embargo, but from that batch I will begin with the bulldozer for sure. Quote

AVCampos Posted May 19 Posted May 19 If I'm not mistaken, the embargo dates are also under embargo. Quote

The alternating beams are still new to me. Nice work, I finally got this and did a mini review - https://paulbtechnic.blogspot.com/2025/05/mini-review-lego-technic-30710-mini.html Quote

R0Sch Posted June 29 Posted June 29 It's definitely reddish orange because the double pin hole connector 32291 is not available in orange. Here's my reverse engineering for the upcoming magazine gift. I assumed the left side holds a different tool. It's a cute little rover and I like that the color scheme for the new space subtheme has been kept at this scale too. Quote
gyenesvi Posted June 29 Posted June 29 @R0Sch I believe this piece cannot accept a bar in its pin (at least other colors cannot). Quote

Stereo Posted June 30 Posted June 30 (edited) I'd guess the tools are in more of the bar-clips like the dish uses, in the red-orange L-piece's axle hole. Also it looks like there's a black pin in the top middle part of the L-piece. Which I'd guess is a pin-axle-axle. Possibly used for stability in some way, since using bar-clips means the top and bottom layers of the body aren't well connected. Although trying it IRL, the bar-clip inserts far enough to get maybe a 1/2 plate into the axle end of the 2x4 beam. I can't tell if that's a good enough connection for Lego. Auroralampinen Posted July 5 Posted July 5 I wonder, since its july, when we should expect the august technic sets reviews to be released:). Quote
Jockos Posted July 5 Posted July 5 (edited) 12 hours ago, Auroralampinen said: I wonder, since its july, when we should expect the august technic sets reviews to be released:). I guess from 'official reviewers' (who must keep embargo dates) about 1 week/10 days before release, from 'non-official reviewers' next weekend/by 15th July. Edited July 5 by Jockos Quote
Auroralampinen Posted Thursday at 05:13 PM Posted Thursday at 05:13 PM Lego revealed today the new transformers set. And interestingly the regulations have changed, because the box has now GIANT warnings about batteries. Hopefully 42214 and 42215 won't get these because it ruins the box:/. Quote
