Yeah, seems like they use the kind of a shopping cart self-stabilizing solution with this connector in black for the front wheels?

Seems like this thing also use twin pull back motor.

And we can considering other mclaren on next year, the Extreme E will be also pullback model.

The steering seems to be self-centering by using the black 2393 part which offsets the wheel from it's steering point by a stud. Like wheels on a shopping cart. The new panel is a greata ddition, especially since you can now use 2 of these to fill a 4 studs wide space without gaps which was not possible before. I don't see any launch mechanism though, but I think this might be the fastest pullback since is so light and small, yet powered by 2 motors.

What are those weird animal wing-like orange panels on the top? Is that from another theme, or something new?

Yup, 2 pullback motors, new / interesting parts / recolors are:

New-ish oin blocks (with 2 pins) in black just like in the Dune Orthocopter.

Orange 3x7 panels

New thinner tapered panels

Orange tapered "seat panels"

Orange Bionicle Wing Small

Yellow dogbone connector

Steering feels a bit sloppy - and cannot be locked /as seen in the video/. Why does this irritate me?
Steering can be locked by a 3L high construction including the steering rack. /I've made one with 4L height while unlocked in my 42106 models/ It may be possible even at 2L.

Two pullbacks in a circle would be fun to watch for sure, but can't compete with the Porsche 42137 in a drag race.
