Latest news about Lego animal moulds

Doe and new dog mould as patronuses in the new Harry Potter sets! Not sure which set for the doe, but a photo appeared on Reddit showing four patronuses together in a LEGO marketing image. The dog is in 76471 Knockturn Alley. Both look good for shaping. The Dreamzzz raven also appears as a patronus. Hopefully we get all three as regular animals soon.

Yeah I hope the doe gets a brown version at some point and the raven comes in just black so we get some variety.

Doe looks wonderfull, wonder if maybe it will be included in this years City Advents Calendar or maybe the Winter Village Set. Aside of that it would be a great addition to any Castle related Set, but sadly there is no rumour for anything coming aside from the Serpent GWP.

I will need to acquire a bunch of the new seal as soon as it shows up on PAB.  Is it just me or do some of these sets seem a bit more overpriced than usual?

I doubt it will show up in Winter Vilalge this year - if I remember correctly Patricia Stag showed up in one set in Harry Potter and one year later it showed up in WV?

LEGO 60506 Classic Beach Tram, a brown seal. Looks like a recolour of 3380pb01 in LGB.

Fantastic that we get the doe mould finally Hopefully that and the stag comes in normal colours soon (red deer)..
I am not sure the the bird is the raven, but hard to tell Who got a raven patronus?

Is the blue/black butterfly in the Friends set the same we already got?

Well we can´t really tell from one release to another. Could be we will get it this year, could be next year or just not at all (but that really would be a wasted opportunity, so I would take this or next year as very likely. We will see.

I’m pretty sure the flying bird patronus is actually a flying phoenix, which we did already know was to appear.

Awesome to see HP do it again with three new patronus animal pieces  Now the question is how long it takes for the doe, dog, and bird to appear in regular sets! Took em quite some time for the deer, otter, and hare, after all.

It could easily be two or three years until a mould that originated as a patronus exists as a normal animal - that’s been true in the past. I do think the existence of a doe makes the arrival of a fawn much more likely though!

Re the black pig: better pictures seem to show the ‘spots’ on its rump include a heart shape and something else. So there’s a good chance that it’s somehow printed to make it very toy-like, rather than useable as an animal with others.

I’m totally now calling the doe ‘Patricia Stag’ 😆

The seal recolour looks to be in that new brown colour that I think has only shown up as minifigure heads and hands until now. It’s a nice looking recolour.

I also LOVE that the whole tram set, including the ‘pier 32’ and seal sign, is a nod to San Francisco - where trolleys are common, and where sea lions congregate at Pier 39!

The Jack Russell terrier mould looks really nice. Despite my oft complaints about too many breeds/ pedigree digs, this is definitely one I welcome. 
Really hope it pops up in City sets or maybe CMF very soon.

The lack of love you guys have towards Friends animals always amazes me. The new brown (medium brown) has already been released with a seal in the January wave of Friends, with set 42699. No, it's nowhere near as good as the City seal, but it exists. Friends animals exist, people, and some of them are pretty good. Don't ignore them 😂😂

I was wondering what dog breed it was, and yeah, this looks like a Jack Russell! Long overdue if you ask me, as it’s a very popular breed ^^ S30 in January anyone?

True, the scale is a bit weird along with the design. Still, I have always been amazed about the variety of them, both color-wise and species-wise. There are a handful of animals traveling between minidoll and minifig based sets, though. Maybe the number will increase in the future.

Speaking of variety... did you guys know there's a new DUPLO hedgehog? It's adorable!

Yeah they should have taken the route of having the same animals across the ranges. That horse has well and truly bolted though!

Be careful what you wish for - they might start using Friends animals in City sets, rather than the other way around!

Its your collection and your rules, so if you like Friends animals you can collect them, I personally do not 🙈 My wallet are happy I do not, or I would have been buying a lot of Friends sets.. Anyway its interesting to see the animals they get because they usually show up in a minifigs set within a few years and vice versa 🤔👍
