Well but that one is a friends animal and moulded to look exactly like sven, so IP locked or not, they wouldn´t have used it eitherway. They could have made an own mould for it, but I guess the deer mould was close enough to save that budget.

Sven is surprisingly accurate to the look of an actual reindeer, for a cartoon. They could probably reuse it with different printing to downplay the cartoony face.

If there is a flying Phoenix mold shows up in Harry Potter, I wonder what Lego will reuse it in other themes (City or in-house CMF series) as a regular bird?

The phoenix in the Harry Potter theme is specifically based on Fawkes from the movies, so it will likely be IP locked just like the perched version appears to be.

I doubt it. What sort of bird would they use it for?  I think we will just see it as a normal plus patronus version of Fawkes. Plus it will surely be locked to the licence.

Oh but Nadine was introduced in Harry Potter CMF Series and she neded up in City as a “African rock snake”. I don’t know what Fawkes would be recolored as a nomral bird in CMF or City.  Fawkes in Harry Potter CMF series looks “normal” to me if it was brown or some blue in City.
