Legoman123 Posted December 6, 2025 Posted December 6, 2025 So we aren’t getting more POTC sets then? Quote

If there would be one next year, it would probably rather be later in the year than earlier and could just not have been leaked yet - of course it is also possible that there will be no set next year and the Pearl was just a one of for now. huguberhart Posted December 14, 2025 Posted December 14, 2025 @Siroco @icm Will's wife's second cousing works in the shipyards.. watched the ship being built. He described it to me and.. Dropbox link to the ship model Quote
icm Posted December 15, 2025 Posted December 15, 2025 @huguberhart Thanks for doing that, but could you please put this up on Rebrickable? Having already been scammed once with this ship, I'd feel safer getting this from a Rebrickable page than from a link in a forum post. Please forgive me for being a little skittish. Quote
huguberhart Posted December 15, 2025 Posted December 15, 2025 (edited) I can't, because I don't have the rights to the design. I put it here on the workbench https://rebrickable.com/users/huguberhart/workbench/38811/ Edited December 15, 2025 by huguberhart Quote
Roebuck Posted December 25, 2025 Posted December 25, 2025 If we where following the classic set every 3 years of Pirates, Space and Castle, we should have gotten a new Pirate set this year, but it do not seem promising, it do not look like the latest sets have sold to well since they retire early. Would be really unfortunate it Lego with their huge portfolio of different sets do not have room for a retro set from a classic team every year Quote

I also think that with Goonies, The Black Pearl, and One Piece-sets on the shelves there is no room for any Classic Pirates set. It's sad that IPs are pushing out retro classic sets. Classic Space sets also seem to be having a bad time. Quote
Yperio_Bricks Posted December 25, 2025 Posted December 25, 2025 Six new Once Piece sets from $30 to $170 are rumored for 2026. Amongst them Drum Island Castle, Marine Ship and a buildable Chopper. Quote

Castle is the most popular theme from the classic themes...but Lego is Lazy. They just give us 4 new factions, a creator castle and that's it. They rely on amateur designers to design sets for their BDP program. Quote
Franco Clarke Posted December 26, 2025 Posted December 26, 2025 Other than the old glory days, pirates have always been an intermittent theme unfortunately. Quote
Lion King Posted December 28, 2025 Posted December 28, 2025 Instead of classic pirates themes, I would love to see a completely new in-house pirate themes with a fantasy spin. There are no fantasy elements in the past pirate themes, it seems. So i think it would be cool o see sea witch, kraken, sirens, sea emperor (Poseidon), mermaids, island harpies, giant sea griffins, magic-wielding pirates, treasures full of trans eggs (see DreamZzz), gems, etc. New weapons would be great like shell-thronged tridents for sea guardians, trans-red cutlass with gold hilt for pirates, etc. Maybe pirates will encounter Atlantis (not yet sunken). Also the show was renewed for a 3rd season in August this year and expect we'll get more Lego sets in the future if the sets that are on shelves now and next year will sell well. Is that based on classic anime or live action? I've had some similar thoughts. If a fantasy based pirates theme would appeal more to kids there is a higher chance of getting an actual new pirates line with affordable sets and not only IP's and highly expensive sets. Maybe a tie-in cartoon is needed as well, similar to Ninjago or Monkie Kid. Quote

For those like me that prefer only light fantasy elements there is always the possibility to buy only the more "normal" sets (like I did during the Castle fantasy era). Quote

I agree, I was more envisioning something like fantasy era Castle as well. Still regular weapons, regular uniforms and so on, only that fantasy creatures also exist. Maybe magical objects. Quote
