Ok then I am glad, sorry for asking so specifically - did not recieve it wrong, I just want to stay always curious for other opinions. So excuse me if my questions sounded weird. :pir-sweet:

No no, it gets the impression of you working on it. Not a weird question :)

I am slowly beginning to think, that Lego is mocking the Technic community... Leaked June release from City Theme:

60480 - Yellow Backhoe Loader - 301 pieces

60494 - Dump Truck and Front Loader - 1132 Pieces

Hey, I just wanted to remind all of us on here how cool it is that we can still come here to a healthy, old-school, forum, in 2026!

It seems like this kind of thing has largely died out, and been replaced by social media stuff that just doesn't have the same feel (or function). Yet here in the Lego fandom, we can pretend it's still 2010 and enjoy a friendlier internet here on Eurobricks!

Thanks to all the moderators and other forum staff who have kept this going! I really appreciate being able to come here

Couldn't agree more!

This forum is also somehow a comfort place, as I've never ever experienced more friendly and open folk. All the critic for MOCs is constructive and never a rant, which is a very rare find.

Yes, quite so!

I don't really understand why such things are so rare these days. Surely there must still be plenty of people interested in serious discussion of specialised topics. But getting them together seems like a constant struggle.

Anyway, I'm glad we have that here. We should all do our best to nurture it!

I am greateful this forum is still alive and kicking even in these crazy times. And I really think we need to appreciate good things like this community, since it's too easy to lose them.

I have largely been a lurker on here, so perhaps this is my nudge to start posting/commenting more.

I've been regularly checking this forum since I was like 12 (I may have ignored age rules back then....), and it has been a huge part of getting me addicted to all this. So shoutout to everyone for keeping this community going strong!

There are, on Facebook groups and in Discord servers. When you likely already have them and ytou do not need to worry about visibility, hosting services and user traffic, why bother making a dedicated forum? Valid questions like data scraping and community gating aren't priorities, and that's before considering the information being lost when these groups wind up and nobody on the 'outside' is able to search through them.

Fortunately, a growing number of people are lamenting the loss of topic-specific forums like Eurobricks; hopefully we see some sort of return to them in the coming years.

From my point of view forums proved over the last 25+ years to be the somehow best way for sharing information for dedicated hobby communities. Facebook and other platforms tried to pull them all into their sphere - has been nice as it has been a new global thing to humanity, but I think we are also somehow smarter nowadays in regards of data-ownership and such topics.

Additionally any self-hosted platform creates stronger needs for self-organisation, which global platforms are easily removing with their (good) functionality - I have the strong feeling any "social costs" of such changes are easily overseen and in consequence their effect may not even be recognized by most. With self-hosted environments, any community needs to achieve to create a shared accepted ruleset as a basis for any group cohesion starting to do its job in the minds of the people - Moderation and other administrative roles are working as stabilizers of the decicded for culture.. As more meta discussions about such topics need to take place, I have the strong believe this is paying heavily into the later observed outcome.

I can also only add my gratefulness for Eurobricks still being the best place I know to discuss LEGO (and other related side-)topics. Kudos to all Mods of the Subforums - their ongoing daily work is considered the mandatory housekeeping for our community to thrive to me - you all have my greatest respect! 💪🫡❤️

edit: Link to Group Cohesiveness - super interesting (to me at least!) :D
