Does any of you fellow Lego builders play instrument games like Guitar Hero/Rock Band? Or the finnish legend Frets on FIre, which i think was winner of Assembly event and only after then these guitar games was released. -

Thanks for tips. This project has been a 50/50 mix of cursing and fun, so i think for now i call it finished :D Digital model is done, only need to bricklink 10-20 parts for real model. No interior yet. There is space left for some more functions if returning to this model in future. I ended up raising the cab 1 stud. There is also now automatically locking fifth wheel with manual release and turntable for add-ons. Even if im not 100% satisfied with end result, (too complex initial plan) i guess i learned something here, atleast i got more efficient in Studio :) -

Thanks for advices and all other comments :) Yeah i agree with the cab, it must be atleast 2 studs higher, im just thinking should the bonnet stay on this height and should i just raise the windshield and roof or the whole cab assembly? I dont understand what you mean with that grille thing, do you mean just flipping the grille pieces 90 degrees or...? Today i made some progress with adding 4th axle and some minor changes to front. I try to update .io file ASAP. New pics in Google Pics album, including my workspace. -
All the negativity aside, ;) TLG has released more new technic parts in past 10 years than in past, atleast i have that feeling because when i bought the ultimate porsche after dark years it seemed to use almost same parts as in 90's, off course the panels were new, but functionality/structure wise i think only new parts were 3l pins with axle. If TLG is reading this, you have released great new connector and panel pieces, the small ones but forget about the large parts that are made just for lowering piece count. Best new useful pieces IMO are new gears and "flipflop" liftarms/beams.

Model version 1.0 made in Studio, file available in first post. Next i add another axle to rear and start working on lifting/lowering one axle, but since i have saw in real life different axle setup on trucks, some have the middle axle lifted/lowered and some have the last axle lifted lowered, my question is, in lego world does it make difference which of the axles is lifted/lowered? Mainly how does it affect turning radius? -

No woman, no cry -Bob M. What music you lego builders like to listen? My listening ranges from underground/90's rap and pop songs with a touch of classic rocks, with some reggae in mix. -

Hey, Man's gotta try atleast xD And edit: Technic Pub sould be pinned topic to us who would like to just talk about something else than lego to like minded people :) -
Here is my version of Emerald NIght, this is kind of budget version :D but still functional. I used PF train motor and build the coal carriange around it and AAA battery pack because i wanted clean interior for the train itself. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_hklZkb5qFqsqTv6SCZgJ5ZkywIFAAPR/view?usp=drive_link https://drive.google.com/file/d/1FEq9PXCwj5ug56Cv1leiYwgc0e2NrAZr/view?usp=drive_link

I agree that Madoca's creations are better than many Technic cars, these kind of mechanisms are IMO essence of Technic, and also the connector heavy and flextube body appeals to me. I was really interested in Technic after re discovering it after "dark ages" around 2015-2016, my first model after childhood was Porsche set 42056. Then quickly getting Arocs, BWE, Claas and Volvo EW160. But after that Technic line seems geared more towards visual looks and forgetting genius use of gears and linkages. Maybe TLG hoped with release of PU to transfer mechanics to coding, but if i would like to code there would be more cheaper and better alternatives. I just want to plug in power and see gears roll and do stuff :D

Thanks :) I got one idea for disconnecting and connecting one of the rear axle's drive, but its very simply and manual: locking wheel hubs. I realized with this setup, in the middle axle, i can replace 5,5l axles with regular longer axles, thus giving me very simply manually operated drive connection just by pulling or pushing the axle pieces to differential. Will it stay connected while driving, i have no idea. I just bought 42154 set, so this project may take while to resume ;) And those wheelarches would look fitting to this truck if i change orange pieces to blue? Edit: Does someone have Studio file for Dacoma 4x4 front axle and/or 42043 rear bogey, that would make my work little bit faster? -
Im trying to build US style truck cab with looks inspired from 42128 set. Model is now 99% finished Pics: https://photos.app.goo.gl/o33VzjsMRz2iTo688 Studio files: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1cpppaSlfmnBHR6XfDU4M85IFifqVlR4S?usp=drive_link Powered by 2 XL PF motors and PF servo for steering, gear ratios: 1st gear 5,25:1 2nd gear 1,12:1, manual gear change. Power source Buwizz 2.0 Front axle is copied from Madoca's work: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-25520/Madoca1977/dacoma-4x4-redux/#details, rear axle is from 42043 Automatically locking fifth wheel with manual release. Fully suspended. This is now working core model. How to make raised and lowered axle which would have drive that can be connected or disconnected? Impossible in this scale? Gearbox with 1 motor which would control 1) that axle function 2) fifth wheel 3) possibly outriggers This could also be good base start for just upscaled manual version of 42128 with suspension. Thoughts?
