K-Nut Posted August 12, 2011 Hi! I'm Brendan and as the title says, I'm a cheesehead at heart. I'm really excited to become a part of this great community.

K-Nut Posted August 12, 2011 (edited) I'm near Milwaukee, sadly nowhere near a Lego store . I do, however, make monthly trips, though. Edited August 12, 2011 by K-nut
JimBee Posted August 12, 2011 Welcome to the forums, K-nut. I'm also from Wisconsin, a suburb of Milwaukee, to be exact. I, too, have to go down to Illinois to get to a Lego store. Enjoy yourself here.

ie10421 Posted August 12, 2011 (edited) Welcome! I'm down in Kenosha, where there are several other AFOL's as well. We have a LUG we've started for SE Wisconsin. Let me know if you are interested in checking it out. Chris Edited August 12, 2011 by ie10421

Hinckley Posted August 13, 2011 Welcome to Eurobricks! What the fudge is a cheesehead? It's a term for a person who comes from Wisconsin, the land of cheese. Lots of dairy farms and cheese factories. I'm a native Chicagoan! Welcome K-Nut. You seemed to have lurked quite thoroughly for some time. You seem to know all about the mafia scene. Glad you joined. Do you get down to Brickworld. We have a group there every year and EB members come from all over the world. And K-LUG displayed together for the first time there this year.
K-Nut Posted August 13, 2011 Welcome to Eurobricks! What the fudge is a cheesehead? I take offense to this. Never been able to make it to Brickworld, but I hope I can make it next year, but I might be on vacation. I'm eagerly waiting for the next Mafia School game. Thanks for the warm welcomes. charlieboy Posted August 13, 2011 I take offense to this. Oooops! Sorry! In my defense I do live several thousand miles away from Wisconsin

Stash2Sixx Posted August 17, 2011 Welcome K-nut. I am also from Chicagoland, the suburbs as many of my friends here on EB like to remind me. If you ever make it into the Woodfield LEGO store, you should let me know ahead of time so we can meet up.
Khorne Posted August 17, 2011 Welcome K-Nut! I, too, was not familiar with the term "cheesehead" (being European, and all ). At first, I thought you were from the Netherlands, since "cheesehead" (or similiar cheese-related names) are nicknames we give Dutch people here (in Flanders, at least, I don't know if its a European thing or not ). No offence to the Dutchies meant, of course
