City cars

Recommended Posts

Here are three city cars that I made:

First, here is a black convertible. It can sit two minifigs, and has a trunk that opens.

Next, there is a red SUV. It also can sit two minifigs, and has opening trunk:

The final car is a normal white car. It can sit one minifig.

These are great!

I wish lego would make realistic cars like these that aren't oversized. The design of them is excellent. That black convertible is especially flashy.

Really nice use of the speed racer windshield.

Fantastic work! :classic:

I'm not going to start arguing about what constitutes minifig scale (I prefer 5-wide too) but these are nice. I especially like the white car. It reminds me of a 'seventies Cadillac somehow.

Cheers,

Ralph

How did I not see these earlier! Great work. I especially like the SUV. Your work with long tiles as vehicle sides is very effective.

These are very good  I particularly like the white one! The red SUV is nice too, is it perchance modelled on one TLC preliminary picture (the one with the black SUV in the horse-riding set)? I made a model of one of these too, in white. I like your SUV a lot though (especially the opening boot), the thing I don't like about my own version is the wheel trims kind of "hover" a little.

The black convertible looks like if you changed the wheels it would fit into a 1930s setting!
