WesternOutlaw Posted December 6, 2009 In my quest to add official sets to my Winter Village, I thought I would modify 6444 Outback Airstrip as a tree lot. The result is this simple little MOC, I call Bob's Christmas Tree Stand.
lightningtiger Posted December 6, 2009 Very nicely done 'The Brickster' I like it alot. But would you buy a tree off that man ? You know what would set this apart from any other design would be a car with a tree strapped to the top of it's roof driving away from Bob's stand. (another happy customer) Besides that love the boom box up high - Bob must love those funky Christmas beats.
Legostein Posted December 6, 2009 Hello! Great little scene. It's always nice to see the rare cypress trees. There's one minor point of criticism this time, however. Regarding the direction of wind, the windsock should point in the same direction as the flags or the other way round. Cheers, ~ Christopher
Dennimator Posted December 6, 2009 Nice one! Cypress trees... Boom box out in the snow? Bad idea, trust me, I´ve tried... I don´t have one myself, but my friend do, and he offered me to take it for free. However, as they are pretty expensive on BL (cheapest "new" one is $25, and his tree is close to mint condition), I´m thinking of selling it when I get it. What do you guys think I should do, sell it or keep it? Thanks.
Tereglith Posted December 6, 2009 I´m thinking of selling it when I get it. What do you guys think I should do, sell it or keep it? That depends. Do you often do MOCs in which a cypress tree could be used? If you think you might, you should keep it. It could come in handy some time, like in a contest where everyone's impressed by it. However, if you can get a load of cash for it and you don't usually do MOCs that involve trees, you should sell it. Nice Christmas Tree farm, TheBrickster! They're springing up all over my state now, unfortunately without the snow No matter what they tell you, never move to Florida. Anyway, I love the variety of sizes of the trees, especially the tiny Charlie Brown Christmas one. It's so cute! Great job on this.

Bob Posted December 7, 2009 Very nice! I like the 'classic' feeling of the entire MOC. I also appreciate that you named the store after me.
