When I saw a thread a couple weeks ago about making armor for fantasy era trolls, I thought I had to try and make something for contemporary dragons. Leaving aside the fact that dragons have natural armor... It was different build from what I'm used to, fun but very fiddly. My technique was basically: use a ton of hinges. I do like how the radar / solar dish panels worked out.

Wow, the radar dish seems to fit it perfectly! Perhaps you could find a way to make the front armor flush against the body?

Front armor stick out too much IMHO... I do love the other bits though, they fit nicely. Awesome armored dragon you have there!

Is this dragon carrying a sword and shield? I think that is the reason why the "front armor" sticks out too much.

Overall, this armor is interesting, but I personally think it makes the dragon too bulky, as does most armor made for molded creatures. I think it is executed well here and is better than the attempts I have made at armoring molded creatures. The armor might look better if it did not include the same colors as the dragon. The helmet is definitely my favorite part, as it fits nicely and makes sense as a mounting place for reins.

Interesting build, Vorkosigan!

The helmet as a whole is my favorite part, too, & the robot-arms on the short nunchaku hoses for the bit works very nicely for that!

Not feeling the sword/shield, but the rest looks nice!

I thought about this as I made it, I would have preferred to make it dark bley but I don't have enough of the right parts. I will think about taking another pass at this at some point when I can round up more parts.

I have uploaded two pictures without the sword and shield so you can see the chest area better. I liked the idea of anthropomorphizing the dragon with the weapons but people may prefer the look without them.

It does look better without the sword and shield, in my opinion, though it was an interesting idea to have the dragon carrying sword and shield as well. I think the main issue may have been that the shield blended too much with the armor and the dragon.

I like the armor on the chest and underbelly. I think it fits well without making the dragon too bulky.

Nice update, Vorkosigan!
