Alex's guardian angel would cause Rhodus's/Death Progg's next torture round to do no damage: so in other words, a free pass.

Exhausted from his previous punch, the insane Progg lets his guard down. Alex swings his sword into his icicle claw, shattering it. Rhodus, or the Death Progg, as he thinks of himself now, sees Johon. With fury he tries to unleash a jab massacre... but finds himself unable to. Elgar shoots an arrow into Rhodus' eye, prompting a bloodcurling roar of pain. The angered beast freezes the floor over yet again. Torture time...

The arduos battle is finally drawing to a close. Punii has sudden epiphany on the chemical properties of water vapor, and creates 3 jellies. Alex hacks off Rhodu's stalagmite claw with a mighty slash of his sword. Johon sees the oppurtunity to avenge Crystal and Alexander. In the name of his beloved parents he sinks his sword into the space between Rhodu's eyes. The beast tries to get up for a last ditch assault, but the decay and poison purges the last bit of fight after him. The Progg was finally defeated. An Opal and blade thought to be lost clatter to the floor. Lyccan rejoins the heroes and Sylph gets up.

The nearly-dead Rhodus rolls on his side, blood gushing out of all of his wounds. He groans and mons in agony, knowing full well he had only minutes, possibly seconds, left.

"Why...? I... don't... understand... Every time, you Heroica fools would defeat me for just squatting "where I didn't belong." The weak are consumed. The strong conquer. Why stand in our path...?

"We stand in your path because you are evil incarnate. Your only demented purpose is vengeance, indiscriminate vengeance for the way you were treated by people who are no longer alive. It's obvious that more than a few pieces of gold are at stake for us here. We may work for a reward, but we stand to protect innocent lives from your blood-thirst. Now die in the knowledge that you have failed, and that your people will also fail and ultimately be wiped out if they can't reconsider their purpose."

Turning his back to Rhodus, Galen starts looking for Elgar's wrench.

"Sylph, good to see you up. You have done well leading us to victory despite your wounds. I'm sorry that we didn't retreat in order to heal and restock. I guess that we couldn't bear the shame of turning away from this... cruel Progg.

Lycan, it was good knowing that whatever we did we could count on you to pick up the pieces. Thanks for your sacrifice."

Sylph stood up. He crack his neck as his bat descended upon him, lading on his cape.

Sylph turned to the Party. "Well, what are we waiting for?" he asked, ignoring the rambling, dying creature. "Johon, I think it would be most fitting if you did the honours. Alex, as much as I would like to let you do it, I believe it killed Johon's parents, and therefore, it's Johon's duty."

Turning to the wounded beast, Sylph stepped forward and knelt down.

"Rhodus, now would be a good time to accept a religion. If you don't, you won't even go to 'Progg Hell.' You'll be lost to the void. I know my god won't take one as unnatural as yourself into her ranks, and nor will Alex's, but perhaps you would be greeted with open arms by Tarok the destroyer, or Isiris, the god of ether...."

Snickering, Sylph stood back up and returned to the group.

"We could stab him all at once," suggested Sylph. "Also, who wants the blade? and the Opal?"
