Pirate MOC Indices Discussion

Recommended Posts

I agree that MLCAD modeling is MOCing.

It's a good idea to make a separte topic for the MLCAD ships Mr. Z.

So why not include all the MLCAD ships we can find :-D

Just put the links in this thread and I'll add them (I already added 2 ships to the index).

Do you want to add only MLCAD that aren't turned into real Lego MOCs, or any MLCAD regardless of if there is a real Lego variant?

I, for example, have the Sienna in both forms...

Now that we have a separte part for MLCAD ships, we can add them if you think they have an added value.

So you can just post the links here and I'll add them.

Also added A mighty English Warship that was recently posted by Sir Norrington.

If I were you I should delete it... It was already in the index... In the first post, a bird's eye... I suggest you to delete the old one because the picture of the new one is better than the picture of the old one...

Indeed, you are right Mr Tiber. From now I'll do a search on the BS-library before I add ships.

It's removed again.

EDIT: Forgot to change the picture as you suggested, but its done now.

Okay, we since we have an index for MOC Ships I think we should also have an Index for the land based MOCs, someone said something about this in the discussion thread from the Ship index but no one ever said something about it later, so I make this thread...

Do you like the idea of an Index for the land based MOCs? Vote now!

Seems like a very logical step to me.

If we do this, we have a full index of all the MOCs (together with the index for MOC Ships) in the Pirate MOC forum.

I find this very important since the forum is always growing and some older MOCs get a bit lost.

And if there ever comes a pirate portal page, this will have to be done anyway.

I concur that this is a good idea! But who shall volunteer to create and maintain it?

Mr Bonaparte, would you like to do this? Since you're the index man X-D .

If he doesn't want to I'm also willing to do this...

I'm willing to take this job Mr. Tiber!

I'll start another search in the pirate MOC forum.

Query, should this be called 'land based' MOCS, or should it be all MOCS that aren't ships. I mean we could potentially have mocs that aren't ships, but aren't landbased either... like custom figures or sea creatures or the like...

I think it should be a MOC index excluding ships, since I am not sure, but I would guess there probably aren't as many forts/ports as there are ships.

Custom figures are mostly covered in the Library.

I was thinking of making a separate part in the index for canons, ... .

Anyway, I'll get a better view on this when I have searched through the MOCs.

Once an initial version is ready (I guess in max 2 weeks), I'll open a discussing thread as well.

It seems we have two volunteers!

Is there any way that you two could work on this project together?

Who is the other one Mr. Phes?

I'll wait a bit before starting until we have this sorted out.

Don't want to do the same job twice.

It seems Mister Phes has been into the rum again!

I thought ZCerberus was volunteering too but I must have misread his post.

Carry on lads...

It would be a step in the righ direction seems like a good move! ;-)

I

think It should include mocs, of pirate hide-out docks, stuff actually on land. Like what Mr. Zceberus was talking about, no boats after all it is called the land based moc(or whatever) If someone creates this It would be incridable easy to help myself on my own mocs.I think IT is a wonderful idea.

Now, now Mister Phes stay out of that RUM.

Also please DO NOT have me do this I am very inexzperience in this kind of thing and would probally screw-up the topic beyond belief!

Bonaparte has already volunteered, Capn Kirk 911. Besides we wouldn't force any user undergo a project like this because its something that a user has to want to do. Having mentioned that, users who do more than is expected of them will not be forgotten.
