Brainbox Posted May 5, 2007 So, with Spidey fever in the air (I went to see the film today), I decided to make these two MOCs. 1. A more comics-accurate Goblin Glider 2. A more comics-accurate Doc Ock And a nice little vig to go with him: Full galleries (when public). Comments, criticisms and questions welcome.
Starwars4J Posted May 5, 2007 Very nice job on the vig, though I think the wall might be a bit plain. It's a fairly powerful scene, though maybe try and add some more detail in? a grate on the wall, some greebs on the floor. Hell, maybe even make him flying on that nifty glider you made so this is all 5-10 studs above "ground*
Brainbox Posted May 5, 2007 I'll probably use the glider in a different vig, and I'm trying to do a Sandman as well. I also thought the wall may have been a bit plain, but since I built it quickly this morning it stayed as is. I may add a bit more to it soon. I was mainly trying to use the Doc Ock fig. zero1312 Posted May 6, 2007 What's the piece with the cross-shaped hole holding Doc Ock's tentacles? :-/ I haven't seen it before. |-/
Brainbox Posted May 6, 2007 A very impressive vignette indeed! It's based on an actual image from a comic. What's the piece with the cross-shaped hole holding Doc Ock's tentacles? :-/ I haven't seen it before. |-/ http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/48723 It's what was used for the official fig. I merely changed the torso and legs.

Dreamweb Posted May 8, 2007 Nice! I love Spider-Man comics. Doc Ock is accurate, however I always prefered his different image, also comics-accurate - with suit and sunglasses. The vig is nice too. I plan to see the third movie soon and perhaps will try to make a movie-inspired MOC myself - after all there's no Spider-Man 3 Lego line, so why not make it ourselves? :)
