I'm curious to see how the hats go on the minifigs head when they have hair, i wonder if it will all be one piece or two pieces.

I can't wait!

You Sir, made me happy! I LOOOVE the movies. I am a pirate re-enactor so I am all about pirates of any kind. I've grown up with these movies and know my pirate stuff, so of course it makes me mad it is the wrong teach flag, and of course I hate that the hat he is wearing in the sets is completely wrong, or that everyone is having a hard time using the word baldric. I will own multiples of all of these sets and I plan on making a minifig scale version of the QAR when I can get my hands on the right shape of gold bricks. None the less, I do not know anyone more excited than I am. My Lego store where I work I'll be dressed up as a pirate for the kids club meeting in may that is relevant to POTC coming out.

Yeah man, I could spend some time dwelling on the historical inaccuracies about the golden age of piracy or inaccuracies in ship building technics (or rather, continuity errors for the era) but I'd rather just focus on being entertained. I have a decent collection of piracy stuff to include books, movies and what not. When I return to the USA in a few years, I'd like to add some flintlock firearms to the mix, but that'll wait til after I get an Uzi and MAC10 :-p. I can't wait for these Lego sets.

I still can't figure out what kind of piece the globe is. I don't think it's a Zamor sphere because it's resting on a stud. It could be a Technic ball joint, but it almost looks too big for that...

I'm almost 100% sure it's Sandy's helmet with printing. I've seen a different picture in high resolution where the globe was seen in a slightly different angle. There I could see what looked like a small seam between the two halves.

Uhm, I'm pretty sure that's just reflected light.

Actually I'm quite sure it isn't Oky, look at the other tricorn on the driver of the carriage; no such white area, and none of the other figures are showing this either. Plus the two corners highlighted in white house the hole for the feather, so i think it's deliberate. Look at it closely and you'll see it's quite defined.

Yay! It's almost like a dream come true! :pir-cry_happy: I really have to get all of these sets. In the Isla de Muerta, Jack's face looks a bit strange. Is it supposed to be a poorly done skeleton version of him, or is he just seasick?

I love each and every one of the sets... so many fine new bricks and figs. Surely gonna make all my soldiers of the Imperial Flagship flesh faced :pir-wub:

Can't wait for any interior impressions of the QAR...

These sets look fantastic. Thank you for the pictures. I'm totally in love. So many great torsos, faces, pieces etc :pir-wub:

I'm very curious on how the hat is connected to the hair of Penelope Cruz' Character. The hair itself looks like a black version of the Elizabeth Swann/Kylie Minouge Hairpiece.

I really like the fact that we have two torso's that can be used as a red coat and a blue coat officer! Also it looks like one the female minifigs (the one in the dress) only has flesh hands and head (hopefully no neck line in flesh). Then you can use her as either flesh or yellow....depending on your Lego Racial preference :pir-classic:

Could it not just be a new print on a football from the Sports line-up? :pir-sceptic:

Anyway, these sets look interesting, but bare at the same time. The larger sets need more figures, and the smaller ones are... okay I guess. I'll probably get the two smallest sets.

Thanks for the pictures!

Sadly, there's some bare skin showing in her torso, as can be seen in this pic. Well, I suppose supporters of flesh minifigs deserve some dresses too. :pirate:

I hope Sparrow in the Isla de Muerta has a double sided head. I don't want a Jack Sparrow running around with a skull face.
