Hoke looks around a bit more, especially at the patrons.

Moments later the party is joined at the desk by a sharply dressed individual with a smile. His features are all together plain and to look at him one would think him quite unmemorable.

Hmm, some mead would be nice. But a strong, dark ale is good too, if you don't have mead.

Smith leads the group upstairs to a small office. A few chairs surround the outside of the room and a small simple desk sits at the center of the office.

As Smith closes the door, the Party hears a key turn in the lock and the man shouting from the other side.

Arena Combat Rules:
Enemy's have Hits instead of Health, rolls of COUNTER, HIT, CRITICAL HIT, AIM, etc will all do 1 Hit's worth of damage.
Elemental Modifiers double the amount of Hit's lost after taking damage
Damaging Bombs deal 1 Hit to one enemy at random
Blessed restores 1 Hit every 2 Rounds
Poisoned, Bleeding, Burning, Cursed, etc. will subtract 1 Hit every 4 Rounds

It is not known what finally got Germ back up. Maybe it was the smell of death or someone's majic just got out of hand. But as he was standing there he seem more zombie like than usual. As he was teetering back and forth. And then he just recklessly charges at the new enemies.

Hoke deals Cursed, Fragile, and Poisoned.  Are these all worth 1 hit each?  If Fragile, will every Hit be doubled?

QM Note: So I just noted a battle order is still needed. Poisoned will deal 1 Hit in 4 Rounds, Cursed will drop the Max Hits by 1 in 4 Rounds, and Fragile will double every Hit.

QM Note: Going back over the last few pages, I can't find anywhere that anyone healed or used a potion on Germ, so no. Fixed.

Hoke's empowered smite does little against the Paladin aside from imparting some negative effects as the hobgoblin's armor absorbs the power of the dark weapon. Torald hastily applies a venom to his weapon but the vampire is to quick for the barbarian and dodges out of harm's way. Ezeran focuses his magical might and blasts the minotaur for significant damage as Throlar manages to score a successful strike on the slimy sorcerer. Germ downs a potion before facing off against Natnail, but the other black knight proves to quick for him and Natnail manages to drop Germ and steal all of his stuff.

Hoke grunts in frustration as the Paladin shrugs off the damage from Zoot's Order.  But he quickly realizes that, regardless, some damage was done.  He looks for a new target, hoping to outlast these 'heroes'.

Throlar briefly considered retrieving his weapon, but he decided that with Germ unconscious again they needed every possible person fighting. Accordingly, he attacked Monsique from the front row with his Mopagsaber.

Germ: Why Carol? Who are you guys to say what is normal and what is odd. And you can tell the others "squad members" I am coming for them too. Assuming you survive this "mess". Frankly, I would of thought it would take two or three fireballs to burn this place down.

Hoke brings his blade to bear against Natnail, but the brigand remains untouched and manages to pierce the Paragon's defenses and snag all of Hoke's equipment. Ezneza weaves a powerful enchantment casting a hexing spell over Ablesword, but the rest of the Party manages to stave off the psychological attack. Orlan pushes past Ezeran and swings his axe in a mighty arc dealing damage to all of the Party in one fell swing. Throlar still manages to slash at the enemy sorcerer nearly bringing him down and forcing the witch to heal her companion. Defenseless, Hoke does his best to stave of Varz attack, but the paladin nearly brings Hoke down.
