  1. I tried to build a combiner robot which doesn't include 1x1 handles (26047), 1x1 clips (15712) and 1x1 brackets(36840, 36841) this time.
  2. This is another Megazord style LEGO MOC. This is an homage to original Megazord.
  3. Here are a baby police robot and a small patrol drone. They are not strong at this state. But if they combine into a big police robot, it is strong and fast.
  4. This time I built a typical Japanese super robot style combine robot. If you are a big fan of Japanese robot animation, you must know red, blue and yellow vehicles combine to form one big robot in many of Japanese robot animation and Japanese super sentai TV show. I think it is interesting, weird and funny. But I like the super robot rule.
  5. This is 'Redman' transformer : Redman can power up with parts :
  6. Mini size Combiner Transformer Robot. I think if I try to build full version combiner mech (6 vehichles), it would be too big one and need to many bricks. So I built this combiner made with just 3 heavy vehicles.
  7. Tank Brothers - mini tank troop. It is made of 2 Short Range Tanks, 2 Long Range Tanks, 1 Spy Drone and 1 Commander Tank. These 6 tanks can combine into a big combat robot to defeat more powerful enemies.
  8. This project started last December and progress were averaging at one bot per month. After 7 months of gruelling yet challenging efforts, Liokaiser is finally done. However , back then (end of June) ... I was given a chance to showcase my LEGO transformers at a local store , so Liokaiser was whisked there for a month (video link below). After a month , he was put in storage as I was busy with another LEGO TF project. I'd guess I better put a closure to this now .So there :) >> As a LEGO combiner of this size, (more than 1.5 feet tall)... he is top heavy, so he can't be posed in more elaborate manner. Too much stress were imposed on the hinges . :| >> Due to complexity of individual bot , merging them to form Liokaiser caused a few weak points in connections. I'm forced to apply extra scaffoldings in a few areas to reinforce these connections, so that posing him about would not topple him over . >> Yes, it's SEVEN breastforce members I mentioned just now. In the original cartoon, Deathcobra was the 7th member of Breastforce (forming the arm) but was killed early in the show. So here, I decided to pay homage to this character by having him as a helicopter that transforms/separates into components for the combiner: Hands, head and a gun. If you wish to view more photos of Liokaiser and the whole breastforce team (more than 200 photos!) , the following blog link is a good starting point: http://alanyuppie.blogspot.com/2016/09/lego-breastforce-combiner-liokaiser.html As a LEGO TF builder, this project really pushes my limits and skills (and patience.. gawd... finding ways to merge the upper body was simply taxing). OK now I need find ways to outdo myself again. Lemme think what else I can build next. Thanks for viewing!! :)
  9. Combiner models need more love and the transparent blue elements from Kopaka and Gali plus Kopaka's ice sword elements cried out for an ice dragon rahi. I also experimented with the new gearbox and leftover parts and ended up with a golden ice scarab with nice gear-powered movement. What do you think? More photos here.
  10. I decided to combine my two copies of 6889: Recon Robot into a single Spyrius vehicle. This model doesn't use every piece from both bots, but it does use most of them! The Crypto Crawler is composed of a forward sensory module with eyes and grabbers, a central control module, and a rear storage module which carries tools and a unique payload. The arms are sturdy and can articulate similarly to arms found in official Spyrius sets,.the plane tail pieces give the neck an interesting "lean", and the face of the vehicle is cute and dinosaur-y (maybe a stolen Roboforce design?) A Spyrius minifigure can easily fit inside the middle segment, though access to the control panel there is a little snug. Turntables connecting the segments allow the Crawler to slither around. Turning the end modules to the side also makes accessing the storage boxes easier. Once deployed, the Crypto Crawler's cool cargo requires some re-configuration by Spyrius agents... Voila! This lightweight, fold-out flying vehicle was mostly a way of using up some of the more specialized parts that didn't make it into the main model, but I'm actually very happy with how closely it resembles designs from retro games like Galaga. I started this MOC as an exercise in utilizing a limited parts palette while trying to match the aesthetics of an official theme, and I'm very satisfied with the results. The modular design also means that, if I ever get my hands on a third Recon Robot, I could turn it into additional segments that slot right in to this model! You can find more pictures of the Crypto Crawler on my Bricksafe. Critiques are welcome!
  11. Breastforce is a team of 6 Transformers from Japanese Transformers: Victory Series, with the ability to merge into a super robot named Liokaiser. Each member has a minion of sorts that can be deployed from their chest. These robotic beast minions can become hand held weapons to their respective masters too. Team members: - Leozack transform into Tomcat fighter jet, partnered with Lionbreast. - Guyhawk, an MiG fighter jet, partnered with Hawkbreast. - Hellbat, a Dassault Rafale fighter jet, partnered with Komoribreast. - Drillhorn, the drill tank , partnered with Hornbreast. - Jallguar, the Baja buggy, partnered with Jaguarbreast. - Killbison, the Gepard anti-aircraft tank, partnered with Bisonbreast. I actually spent weeks in deep thoughts on how to make this work (how each limb combine with each other sturdily with articulations to boot) before I started this project last Dec. The efforts were incredibly tedious (especially Jallguar and Leozack) yet rewarding. I shall use this thread to update more reveals in the coming weeks, and of course... the combined mode. I'm almost done with all of them (99%) except the combiner head. This one needs delicate treatment and I'm taking my own sweet time here. KILLBISON In my quest to fulfil last year's vow of building a Transformers combiner , Killbison is actually the last MOC I started work on (from the team of 6 breastforce members). This is because I have difficulty finding the needed brown parts , Just like his original toy, Killbison transforms into a Gepard Tank (below) with 2 turrets. But the original toy has 4 tank treads instead of 2 like in many typical real world tanks. I choose to follow the latter. Trivia > Initially this MOC was suposed to be a "remold" of Drillhorn I started much earlier, but Drillhorn's drill tank mode is chunky looking. I decided to build Killbison from scratch using a new transformation method. > When I started building this guy about 2 months ago, I used many black parts as a placeholder. In the quest to procure more brown parts quickly (this means not from ordering online), My routine scout in a mall yielded me Mixadel (A Mixel set) . This set has 4x c-clips I needed to complete this MOC. What a stroke of luck! > Some sacrifices were made for the robot mode aesthetics to ensure Killbison form a sturdy looking combiner leg. (one example is the robot arms with bland design facing outwards) For more photos of his "killer" antics and poses (and my "killer" writeups on how he came to being), do pay a visit to blog below! alanyuppie.blogspot.com/2016/03/lego-killbison-from-breastforce-team_19.html TRANSFORMATION Like most of my TransforMOCs from recent years, transformation from vehicle to robot mode doesn't require taking off parts.
  12. Hello! Recently I was fiddling around with my Hero Factory models. I combined Stringer and XT4 and came up with this: *drumroll* Triclops! An evil 3- legged bot with a slicing blade that spells certain doom to its victims. Also, Triclops is equipped with two sharp- shooting claws either side of its head to capture its prey. Hope you like it! C&C welcome.
  13. Now that all the Skull gang has been reviewed by VBBN, it's time to take a closer look at the combiner models. The first one is made of three of the four medium sets : Skull Warrior, Skull Slicer and Skull Basher. The build : The instructions for these combiners aren't available (yet), so I had to guess the build from the (tiny) pictures at the end of the instructions of each set. We start with the torso and the gearbox, then we add the legs, the arms, the spikes on the back, the armours and the head. The complete model : His huge body and his wide shoulders make him really imposing, and he's rather properly armoured, especially for a skeleton. The main issue to me is the colour scheme (two metallic colours and four transparent colours), but it was hard to do better : it's possible to replace most of the blue parts by green ones (except the #4 armours on the arms and the horns, of course), but it makes the model look too much like Slicer, which I think the designers wanted to avoid (which is understandable, especially since he already has four arms). So... we have a rainbow warrior instead. Well. A blue crossaxle / pin is used to give some friction to the mechanism, but it's useless : as soon as you release the yellow knob, the arms "fall". Speaking of the arms, since they're all aligned, the "inner" arms almost can't move on the sides, only frontwards and backwards. What I like, and despite what the official description says, it's that this combiner has only one head. Sure, they could have given him three heads, but it would have been useless and ridiculous, so I'm glad they chose to stick to only one head. I also like the claws on his feet, especially the fact that they used a Skull Spider leg for the middle claw. It's a small detail, but I like it. It's an interesting build, and an imposing model, but it really suffers from the colour scheme.
