  1. When I saw that Chima Elephant set coming out, it was immediately clear to me what I had to build out of it: "Sir Archibald's Wonderous Wandering Mechanical Steam Elephant" The Steam Elephant allows comfortable travel through all kinds of terrain. Additionally, it is well-armed. Inside the Elephant the modern traveller will find a luxurious sofa and a grammophone, accompanied with a great record collection. Larger (and more) pictures can be found on flickr. (And, yes, I have read Jules Verne. Many times.) :sweet: C&C welcome! Captain Braunsfeld goes Steampunk: 1. New try at Steampunk Figbarf 2. [MOC] [steampunk] Sir Archibald's Mechanical Elephant 3. [MOC] [steampunk] Dr. Teslisons Airship 4. [MOC] [steampunk] Sir Archibald's Flying Lucilla 5. [MOC] [steampunk] Lady Lacelove's Armored Airship
  2. Goodday people of Eurobricks, My very first moc posted on Eurobricks, it feels like a brand new day for me I actually built the Mech on the platform a few years back, but never got to properly photgraph it. The setting of this Mech is in my own fictional universe with a complex backstory, which I have to write down properly and add to another of my Steampunk Moc's probably. I hope you guys like it Nautopolis Loading Dock by Bram, on Flickr Nautopolis Loading Dock by Bram, on Flickr Nautopolis Loading Dock by Bram, on Flickr greetings, Elderon
  3. No other words needed. I present: Wyvern's Breath
  4. Doctor Johnson’s chicken-powered Dirigible See here the renowned traveling salesman Doctor Johnson. As one of the gentleman on the forefront of environment friendly technology, he travels in his chicken-powered dirigible. ✓ No more black smoke belching steam engine! ✓ No need for endless water supplies! ✓ And always something to eat in desperate times!
  5. Ladies & Gentlemen, tonight, I proudly present: Sir Archibald's Flying Lucilla - a modern airship. Powered by two steam motors the airship is traveling at incredible speed! Sir Archibald is accompanied by a brave crew: ... and the "Flying Lucilla" is well-armed: This airship is based on the Ninjago 70603 Zeppelin (which unfortunately does not come with 8 but only with 7 balloon pieces...) More and larger pics on flickr. C&C welcome! Captain Braunsfeld goes Steampunk: 1. New try at Steampunk Figbarf 2. [MOC] [steampunk] Sir Archibald's Mechanical Elephant 3. 6. Here comes a dirigible that is slightly larger than the previous MOCs: Lady Lacelove's Armored Airship I took some basic inspiration from the "sea cow", which you can see in some parts. Here's the proud owner of this mighty airship: The ship is modular: The interior is as modern as it can be: .. and you can see parts of the overall machinery: I hope you like this MOC. More and larger pics can be found on flickr. C&C welcome! Captain Braunsfeld goes Steampunk: 1. New try at Steampunk Figbarf 2. [MOC] [steampunk] Sir Archibald's Mechanical Elephant 3. 7. Black clouds gathered on the horizon. Agents Cara and Jeremiah sped and glided through the lanes toward the sound of whirring jets from far ahead. "Looks like he'd dead ahead," muttered Jeremiah, swooping low to avoid a shop awning. "I see him!" Cara exclaimed. "And he sees us! Too bad more agents couldn't be spared for this, but the Imperial Crown needs them too much. I'm going in!" Jeremiah dove toward the gigantic, biped hulk of metal straight ahead. "So it's you two again!" Tornadzu's voice grated across the chilly air. "Guess what?! I've got a surprise for you!" Suddenly, the back of the Helicopter rotated down and the entire machine rose into the air as the legs folded back. Jeremiah involuntarily jerked backwards. "What in the..." "You're going down, Tornadzu!" Cara shouted. She slammed on the gas and gripped the handlebars as she shot up a nearby pile of boxes and barrels that did double duty that day as a ramp. "Forget it, Agents!" Tornadzu bellowed. "This is the end of you!" Tornadzu's vehicle actually transforms, starting like this: going to this (note the open gear spot): And ending as this! A close-up of Tornadzu in his Copter: Jeremiah Fire's Areal Glider: Cara Piper's Motor-sled: The figures... And last, an edited picture of the affair... It's been too long since I've been in the Sci-Fi forum! This was a really fun build and I was quite happy with how it came out especially considering all the SNOT work that went into it! C&C are welcome!
  8. This is Tahtorak, the mothership of Bio-Klaani's airship fleet. The 450-meter steam-driven cruiser was built for cargo transporting, but was recently armed for military uses. The model is also motorized with an old 9V motor. Five rotors spin. I also used those aeroplane engine blocks as gearboxes, as they snugly fit couple of 90 degree gears. The huge 4x14x4 battery box is hidden inside the brown front section. I also photoshopped a few travelling images using Creative Common images. The rest can be seen on Cyclopic Bricks - Enjoy!
  9. Last week I've build this steamroller. The Brown Buffalo is a micro scale steamroller inspired by the Blue Buffalo Springfield steamroller. A link to the real steamroller: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:1924_blue_Buffalo_Springfield_steam_roller_right_side_1.JPG Pictures: 01_Brown_Buffalo_front_view by LegoMathijs, on Flickr frontview 02_Brown_Buffalo_back_view by LegoMathijs, on Flickr backside 03_Brown_Buffalo_left_front_view by LegoMathijs, on Flickr frontview pictures also at my Flickr page: https://www.flickr.com/photos/mathijslegofan/sets/72157651972779806 I hope you like it
  10. L'Supervivere Over the course of several years during the great industrial age, this mechanical suit was created by the lesser-known Professor Stewart Phoenix out of disused parts scavenged from various scrapheaps and abandoned factories around the outskirts of Victorian London, hence L'Supervivere's rather cobbled together and unusually complex appearance. The original and sole purpose of L'Supervivere was to be used by Professor Stewart Phoenix to protect his family and his estate, Phoenix Manor, from destruction, but over the years this technical monstrosity was also used for several other suitably vital causes, such as fixing leaks in the Manor's roof and rescuing cats from trees. The most notable alternative use of L'Supervivere was during a lengthy voyage abroad, in which it was used to navigate the treacherous rainforests of the Amazon and defend a party of explorers (including Professor Stewart Phoenix himself) against any threats they may have encountered. At the end of Professor Stewart Phoenix's long and fruitful life, he proclaimed in his last will and testament that L'Supervivere would be passed down to his eldest and only son, Dr Joseph Phoenix, on the sole condition that it mustn't be used for any type of criminal activity and that at the end of his life, he should also pass on L'Supervivere to his eldest son, and that this son should pass it on to HIS eldest son, and so on until what is only described within Professor Stewart Phoenix's will as "The end of all days", but so far no-one has been able to fully understand the meaning behind this choice of words. Mysteriously, after being passed down through several generations L'Supervivere and the Phoenix bloodline completely disappeared from public view in the early 1920s. It is still rumored that L'Supervivere still exists in its original form to this day, but the location of the suit itself and it's rightful owner is currently not known... More images on my Flickr. Enjoy!
  11. (Alright, this might belong to action figures, but most system character are seen on this forum, so I though this was the right one). This is Alice Nautia, an ocean-themed steampunk girl. This was going to be a Bionicle MOC at first, but I made the skirt using Ewok glider's wings and so she turned out to be a steampunk gal. The skirt had a part looking like a fish's tail, so I added some other marine details: an Atlantis key jewellery and an octopus hairdo. More pics and talk on my blog. Enjoy.
  12. Hey I tried my hands on a crossover between Steampunk and Batman. First i build the wooden Steamtumbler: But this wasn't enough for me, so i build a little Batcave: For more click on the pictures or look at all the details on MOCpages. Stay crætive! Jonas
  13. Made this around 2008
  14. Firstly, I'm not sure if this belongs to the Sci-fi or the other themes, but decided the put on the latter as there isn't anything partciculary science fiction in the MOCs and they are not in minifig scale. I built these three steampunk girls partly inspired by the new ball joint system (ironically used only on one MOC). I have built many Bionicle characters and also SYSTEM Hobbit dwarves, so character building is kind of "my thing". These are in smaller scale than those, so it was quite fresh challenge. Miss Izzy Orchard is a coquette with adventurous mind and always useful utility belt. Gail Nealor Lyner is a heroine and adventurer. She always has her flinlock ready, and oh boy she's a fast puller. Cynthia Quegan Muskell is an engineer and airship pilot. She's the brains of the outfit and wears probably a bit more practical clothes than the others. Hope you liked the gang! There's more pics in flickr (1 2 3) and more stuff on my blog Cyclopic Bricks (1 2 3).
  15. Hi everyone! I am sorry that I do not know which forum is more appropriate for this MOC, so I published it here. And sorry for my english)). Let me show you my new MOC, steamy typewriter, which was built for "Age Of Steam" contest on RFFL. Here it is: All keys are fixed separately, each in it's bar, they stay inside with clips, so every key can be really clicked. Here the whole English alphabet in qwerty- keyboard layout, numbers, dot and dash, the left and right shift, @ (there was not more appropriate sign in a set for business cards) There is such mosaic at each side. Thats all, I hope you enjoed! Comments are welcome. Have a nice day! Flickr
  16. Hi all, This is my entry to the FBTB MOC Madness 2014: Steam Wars Return. The round 1 poll is now live! You have until 1st August to choose your top 10! more pictures can be found at https://www.flickr.c...57645938512831/ Do visit http://www.fbtb.net/...-poll-now-live/ to cast your votes! Cheers!
  17. Hey SteamWars-friends This is my interpretation of how the iconic Starfighter of Obi Wan might have looked in the Victorian Ages. Entry for the SteamWars-Madness on FBTB in the semifinals against Markus. And in addition i build a fitting HyperSteam-Ring for faster travelling through the SteamWars-Univsers: More photos can be be found here. All my SteamWars build will also be displayed in Skaerbaek. Probably the only chance to see them in "real". Good luck to Markus and thanks for stopping by. Best regards Jonas
  18. Here's a big steampunk townscape MOC I build as a collaboration with Nomadig and InfamousQ for LUG exhibit on "Lelukauppa Pii Poon LEGO-rakennustapahtuma" that took place in Vantaa, Southern Finland last weekend. It features the Town Hall of steampunk city Brasshill with a bit of a lane and a park. There is an underground station under the Hall with the train arriving. A hostage situation is taking place in the hall, but it isn't going to be a very succesful one - There's the police at the doors, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen on the roof and one the hostages is wielding a rapier behind her back... The MOC is inhabited by my purist steampunk minifigures. Se more photos and read more babble on Cyclopic Bricks, and above all enjoy your visit in Brasshill!
  19. Holy Diver, you've been down too long in the midnight sea. Old scuba suits are cool, so I ended up building one, using around 50% Bionicle/TECHNIC and 50% SYSTEM. More photos on the blog. Enjoy. It's pleasing to see that there is plenty of MOCs in the action figure subforum nowadays. The return of Bionicle seems to have an effect on it.
  20. Above the barren and obscure wastelands near the Imperial London rises an odd and huge figure. But it is not one of the giants of the old age. It is a machine and it is a house, in fact it is the homely home of Mr. Edward Higgs, eccentric inventor and gentleman who definitely respects peace and desolation. Higgs's home is a typical home of an bachelor (at least on some aspects). There isn't that clean as there's no one to nag about things. As Higgs's inventing projects take some room (one of the three floors) and the machinery of the house isn't that small neither (it is an old steam sawmill tower) he has his bedroom, toilet and the old boiler room all in the same space. Isn't that handy? He doesn't have room for chairs around his table, but fortunately he can sit on the stairs while eating. The sewer system is also very compact and helps Higgs to avoid the sewage costs. As it would be troublesome and time-consuming to climb all the 32 ladders when coming home, Higgs has built a fold-out ramp for his helipack on the first floor. There is also a big steamp-powered hoister above the ramp to make it easy to lift heavy objects into the house. Another of Higgs's homely inventions is the big propeller on the wall of the first floor. It is not an air conditioning system, but a wind tunnel propeller that helps Higgs to make his airs vessels as aerodynamic as possible. This is my entry on the Home Sweet Home contest, category A. The house fits easily on 48x48 baseplate. I'm happy to be able to take part on this contest as steampunk is definitely my favourite theme and contest allowing that madness are not that common. This MOC was built and photographed in two days; late bird catches a worm anyway. More stuff can be found on Cyclopic Bricks, Flickr and Brickshelf.
  21. Hello there I had some dark weeks without that much building, but the Home Sweet Home-Contest gave me motivation to build again. There are several cool Lego-Space themes, but i took the chance to build once again in one of my favorite Sci-Fi-worlds: Steampunk! "Every style-conscious Gentleman needs his home. Some have mansions at the sea. But why living at the sea when you can live in the sea?" -Sir Octavius- This is the home of the steamy gentleman Sir Octavius and the scene stands on a round base. The base is not nearly 48 studs in diameter, but i wanted to have space to play with the tentacles overlapping the border of this circle. All photos on MOCpages. Stay creative and steamy! *toof* *toof* Jonas
  22. Hello Seriously, i wasn't sure where to post this. On the one side it's a Star Wars spaceship, on the other side it's build steampunky. (I hope it's ok to post it here. If not a Mod can change that hopefully :D ) The guys of FBTB making their MOC Madness 2014 and the theme it's: SteamWars My entry is the interpretation of the iconic Slave 1 in the victorian style. I hope you like it. More pictures can be found here. May the steam be with you Jonas
  23. My first entry for the FBTB contest. I left the title ambiguous because I've already built my Round 2 entry (wishful thinking + no time this week to build) and I will add it here once it's ready to shoot. If anybody else wants to add their Steam builds to this topic, feel free to reply with your pics. Please leave C&C below and go vote for my build if you have an account. Enjoy.
  24. Today is so so boring, so i gather all my creations' pictures and post them. XD! Without a doubt, this topic is about free building. i have lots of ideas but i can't post them all, because making a post takes me more than one hour... And I actually post eight of my creations. i hope you guys can type some comments and help me improve my building skill. Thanks!! First, Steampunk Mech/Walker This one is inspired by the 30230 Mini Mech and 70722 Overborg's walker. And no extra piece left. Second, Sea Monster It looks cute, isn't it!! No extra piece!! 25. The town of Brassport, 1868. A highly industrial city with all sorts of things going on from train heists to basement communist revolutions. Outlaws Pantolomeus T. Ongu and Edwin Pillingshot McBlaine hijack some important goods from train with their stolen Tri-Copter. Prime Minister Churston Windmill with his wife and assistants at the front of his house. People's house, with craft shop inside. Little Tomer earns his first pennies by cleaning General-Governor's boots. The MOC measures around 64x48 studs and is the biggest MOC I've ever built. I wanted to create an environment for steampunk minifigures to take some photographs and, well, tell stories. The more detailed backstories can be found on my blog Cyclopic Bricks, as it would feel a bit silly to copy/paste them there. More photos can be seen on the Flickr set and Brickshelf folder so this page loads in decent time. I wish you enjoyed your visit to steampunked Victorian era! C&C are welcome, but you probably already guessed that.
