Some times you have to actually make profit for your company. This week Col. Brik is visiting a vehicle assembly plant at a city on Sorn. If you forget making the money to keep the corp alive you cannot extract revenge. Sorn seems to be a constant location for profit for Kawashita. The production has slowed in recent weeks as all the top executives have focused on the attempted assasination of Raven. Things seem to be running smoothly, scab labor at minimum wage is maximizing profits. End "Yes, this build is in my normal city display, after finishing it a week ago I set it up and didn't want to try and move it out of the spot I put it in."

Location: F09 Arium Minor Tags: Exploration, Land Vehicle Mission Log: Entry 20 ~ After receiving the transmission from Agent Kytes, Ekira and I took my Y-Class Shuttle off Arium Major to rendezvous with the reinforcements. Their leader, an experienced military commander named Captain Askarn, informed us that the vessel containing the mutant, its cohorts and the Octan prisoners had recently landed on the neighbouring planet of Arium Minor. There was no time to lose. Askarn, Kytes and I took the first transport down to the barren, rocky surface of Arium Minor, where we were assigned a Rough-Terrain Tri-Bike (RTTB) for ease of movement. We set off immediately... It wasn't long before we received results. A transmission came in from a Chocho rapid-response unit five miles away. We may call them Chocho, but a butterfly is the last thing they resemble. They're tall, quick and dangerous. This one reported that it had secured an unknown species of alien which both resembled our missing mutant and the creature we had killed on Arium Major. We headed to the location it described. An unfamiliar, and extremely attractive young woman dressed in Kawashita red and wearing a face-mask greeted us as we approached the robot and its prey. As we drew nearer, Captain Askarn whispered in my ear that this woman was Akiko Kawashita, great-niece to Osamu Kawashita himself and a member of the ruling family of our corporation. I later learned that she had been assigned to this mission as a test of her weapons capabilities and field skills. Sure enough, the Chocho unit had a sedated, chained mutant in its grasp; even more worryingly, its garb told us that this was not the one we sought, but a second lookalike. Could the mutation be spreading.... or had we stumbled upon a new species of alien entirely? The cast: The Chocho rapid-response unit: The RTTB: C&C welcome!

Location: F10 Arium Major Tags: Science, Land Vehicle Previously... // PERSONAL DIARY // Tor wanted me to see some of the military technology they had. He said their military force was called the Marines, which ED-208 said "That would make sense." but I'm not sure what he meant. Maybe because they reminded him of the human Marines. Though Tor said they generally refer to themselves as Leatherbacks instead of Marines when among their own. Not sure why ED-208 found that amusing, must be a weird robot thing. I actually had a very productive discussion on gyroscopic stabilization with one of their scientists. Dr. Long had sent me a message about some issues our robots had been having and she asked me to look into it. I didn't want to submit a full report yet because I was still learning so much from the Ter Tahls, so I only sent back info regarding the gyro upgrades I would suggest. I think partially Dr. Long just wanted to check in on me and make sure things were alright since she hadn't heard from me in a while. Her reply of "OK, great." was also so typically her. She had taught me the importance of time, especially in science. This one time I had been talking to her for about 45 minutes when she stopped me and said that in science if you leave something for 1 minute too long during an experiment it can radically change things. So she told me that I had 1 minute to talk to her before the experiment was over. It really made me think about needing to keep things brief and to the point. She has such a brilliant mind and a fantastic way of looking at things and getting other people to understand them. Tor took me into one of their research and development labs where they had a new autonomous tank they were working on. It was a mobile defense tank with 4 multipurpose missiles. ED-208 seemed very interested in it and asked if it could be remote controlled by robots. Tor said that it couldn't currently but that was a very good suggestion. ED-208 said he would be happy to assist with trying it out if they needed. It was really great to see him becoming a bit less worried about aliens and so willing to help. The Ter Tahls seemed to have very advanced technology, at least as advanced as our own. Hard to believe these aliens could be as advanced as humans, but in some ways their technology even exceeded ours! I was really excited for the prospects of learning from them and showing my new findings to Dr. Long. As a woman of science and knowledge she would be ecstatic to hear all about this! Extra Pics: (Easter eggs for some upcoming story direction can be spotted) Tank's launcher raises and lowers and there is even a blast shield panel that is integrated

Tags: Science, Land Vehicle Location: H04 Story and better pictures to come tomorrow morning, but the crux is this is the capsule by which Jebediah will be returned to his proper time and space. The item you see Jebediah with in his story is its "key" and a means by which Dr. Long can very generally track his temporal location. True to form, and the subject matter, the story for last week's build was sent to last week's future... the present... or, rather, the future of my present, as I am definitely writing this in your "last week" it's a bit hard to explain... I'll let the good Doctor at it: "Log date 456, This is Dr. Danielle Long, recording a top secret mission report. Octan's--and my own--most trusted special forces operative, Jebediah O'Reilly must be sent into the past to retrieve the hapless fool of a physicist, Dr. Blenjamin Blandin who seems to have inadvertently triggered the machine to activate and create a rift in time and space centered around the blue box. I have reviewed the theoretical work done by Blandin, and he seems to believe that such a rift would not be able to shut unless the majority of any materials brought back in time are returned to their original time and place... while fascinating, this news is quite... um... irritating, to say the least. Once Blandin's anachronistic exploits have been reversed... well, he's definitely fired. Dr. Long out." Dr. Long: "Ok, Jebediah, I'll be brief. Retrieve Dr. Blandin, wherever.... or, Whenever, he may be, and return by activating this capsule with your noise-emitting leverage-optimizer. Dead or alive matters little. Just the majority of his anachronistic mass must be returned. He's as good as fired to me." Jebediah: "why does the capsule look like a car?" Dr. Long: "Well, we're a bit low on funds for "Employee retrieval and extraction". Normally we don't... do... much... of that. So I could not refuse when one of our Engineers volunteered his antique car for the task. He was very insistent on it actually. What an odd fellow." Jebediah: "Ok, and what about the Blue uniform?" Dr. Long: "well, we don't exactly have Historians on the Axle... so I had this modeled after the garb of the deceased inhabitants of the Facility. We don't know very much about his location or time... other than that it seems to be linked to earth or its moon. Both of which have had breathable atmosphere for a long time... so you should be fine in that. I had you inoculated against earth diseases long since irradicated, as well. Wouldn't want you bringing back to common cold, now, would we." Jebediah: "Sounds like you thought this all out." Dr. Long: "That is my job. Haven't missed a week." Jebediah: "alright, whelp, let's send me back in time then." Dr. Long: "Excellent." "Here it is. The rift exists right around the blue box. You simply need to touch it. I will watch you through your noise-emitting Leverage-optimizer, which can be tracked with some repurposed special equipment developed for long distance space flight. Good thing you're going back in time, and not forward. Although... who knows how this will effect the present... so... Don't step on any butterflies." "Got it." "Good luck." ~Insectoid Aristocrat

Yseult Brenneux stood silently in a dim corner of a M.A.N.T.S garage on Marphacia looking at the shabby shell of some old hovercycle, getting angrier by the moment. She didn't try to calm herself down... She didn't want to be calm. That's the one... The hairy scientist, she thought as she noticed Big Sal leaving the compound in his transport. She followed from a distance, a gentle cruise for her pride and joy, a modified Skyblade hovercycle. Once a bright azure, she'd painted it murky reds and greens to blend in to the equally murky topography of the planet she'd ended up being stuck on. When the transport stopped, as she expected, the occupants got out, as expected and the hairy scientist began pointing around wildly trying to make everyone understand his newest experiment... as expected. Yseult had no idea what it was all about but after listening to the scientist jabber on about it in a café at a nearby trading post for half an hour, it sounded ridiculous... Something about laser beans. It wasn't beans she was interested in though, it was the transport's uplink back to the M.A.N.T.I.S. compound. She'd managed to convince the scientist that she could supply him a rare piece of equipment he'd been asking around for and was even willing to deliver it to his test site... for a price. The muscles in her arms tensed as she brought the cycle to a stop by the transport; only she knew the item in her back was a worthless piece of junk, but everything went to plan: the part looked convincing and he made the payment. That's when her plan activated. The remote hack in her pocket decrypted his remote login and piggybacked his authorisation through the uplink back to base. Once there, it transferred large amounts of credits out through various accounts to hidden locations. She just needed to keep the link open long enough for the program to return the locations to her. She felt nervously at her right pocket while the scientist enthusiastically inspected and began installing her delivery. Her left middle finger developed a nervous twitch as he began flicking switches in no particular order. It was just as he reached for the most unnecessarily large of the levers that the hack 'bonged'. She had the account details and bee-lined for her bike. Feeling the eyes of everyone present watching her every move, she tried to act casual. She put her helmet on; it felt tighter than usual. It's the nerves, she told herself. Stay calm, stay calm. She started the bike, took one look back at the scientist and for a moment that lasted far too long, they seemed to just stare at each other. Her journey back to the outpost was uneventful, that was until her front hover pad exploded. The next thing she knew, she was on the floor and her bike was in three or four pieces fifty metres down the road. She tried to get up but every bone hurt. Her vision was blurred. She saw shadows moving towards her. Five... Maybe six. One of them came really close. She woke up an a room, it was dark, or maybe just black. She was tied to a chair with the hairy scientist sat opposite her. "They'd like to execute you" he began, "Not me, of course, but, erm, we need the credits back". She stared at him silently. "Shame about your bike" he added in an annoyingly pleasant tone. "I'll buy a new one" she replied. He had an irritating smile as he shook his head. "No you won't. No shops here" he said, waving his arms around like he didn't know what to do with them. His look turned more serious, he wagged his finger. "You have a problem". She raised an eyebrow "You?" she replied but he didn't seem to get it. "I can help" he continued. He leant forward and looked her in the eye "Give us back he credits and you'll walk out of here with a vehicle credits can't buy". She wanted to be awkward and just say no, she wanted to fight her way out, she wanted anything except the answer she knew made sense. She leaned forward as best she could and looked him in the eye... Once the credits were all back, he took her to a dim corner of some garage in the compound. She couldn't believe the wreck that stood before her. "Don't see what it is now" he nervously prompted, "work for us, and with our resources... a-and my research. see what It could be", she wondered for a moment how it had all gone wrong. How did they know where I'd be to hit the... It suddenly dawned on her. The hairy scientist wasn't the mark in all this... she was. Yseult Brenneux stood silently in a dim corner of a M.A.N.T.S garage on Marphacia looking at the shabby shell of some old hovercycle, getting angrier by the moment. She didn't try to calm herself down... She didn't want to be calm. Note for judges. This is my first entry and more of an introduction to the character. I understand it doesn't really align to corporate activities. Here's an additional image of the 'beat up old bike' for your benefit.

Location: B06 Sorn Tags: Exploration, Land Vehicle Mission Log : Entry 22 ~ When my vision returned, it was hazy, and everything seemed to shimmer and twist before my eyes. I saw a derelict grey wall, and sand... lots of sand. And then the mutant raising its axe to end my life. I didn't think. My blaster was already in my hand before its axe could descend. Two quick shots, that was it. I heard shouting and blaster fire, and saw Akiko, Captain Askarn and one of the troopers pinned down by a band of .... strange people- things. Some were mutants, and I recognised the mutant who'd killed Agent Sharpe among them. Others were tattooed, scantily clad humans with strange, glowing red eyes, brandishing makeshift spears, blades and guns. I struggled to get up, feeling a sudden, sharp pain in my shoulder. Looking up, I saw one of the strange humans with a blaster aimed in my direction. The pain was so great that I couldn't stand, so I decided to play dead for the time being... Then a shot rang out. The leader of the cultists fell, dead, as the rest of the Kawashita platoon charged over the sandy horizon, equipped with a small walker with medium gunpower. A fierce battle ensued... One of the troopers cut the Octan prisoners loose with his sai dagger. Meanwhile, the three trapped behind the machinery broke cover and returned fire, engaging the mutants and cultists on a second front. The battle was over within minutes. We'd taken one casualty - a young trooper who'd received a sword wound to the stomach. Concerned faces swum into my field of vision as my wound was inspected and I was eased into a seated position. The dying trooper, as per Kawashita custom, was given his sword to hold onto as he died - nobody is sure how this particular ritual came about. I later learned that we'd somehow come through a gravitational anomaly - a wormhole in space - and both our quarry and us had emerged on the planet Sorn, on the eastern frontier of Kawashita space. But we were alone, with no communications - and two grateful but prickly Octan employees to take care of. Oh - and the original mutant wasn't among the dead, somehow. He'd got away. [ C & C welcome!]

Location: B08 Greater Direstan Tags: Exploration, Land Vehicle Misson Log: Entry 24 ~ The briefing from CEO Raven was uncharacteristically harsh. I was admonished for forsaking my duties as an explorer, informed that I had no right to go around wearing blast armour and carrying weapons, and told that the shock of my injury was exactly what I needed to get back into protocol. She then congratulated me on eliminating the mutant threat. Some people.... Anyway, I was back on Greater Direstan for the third time in less than a year, carrying out a standard recon / exploration mission on a fairly ordinary speeder. Funnily enough, I didn't really miss the adrenaline-fuelled fights and chases of the last month or two - seems Raven was right about where I truly belonged. What I did miss was the companionship of my former team - Agent Kytes, Captain Askarn, Akiko.... My previous journeys and adventures with them were probably something I'd always remember. But there was a whole new world out there, waiting to be discovered, and I was in the vanguard of it.... [Just a small build this time, not much time or space for anything larger. C&C welcome.]

Location: B06 Sorn Tags: Exploration, Land Vehicle Mission Log: Entry 23 ~ I must have passed out shortly after the battle was won. When I came to, I found myself lying on a standard-issue Kawashita mattress inside a bunker, all alone, with light filtering through the window to my left. I realised something was wrong even before I looked down at the rest of my body. My right arm, the one which the cultist had shot, was... gone. And a cybernetic, silver appendage was in its place. Shocked, I sat up, flexing my new limb, and found to my surprise that it was not only equally functional to my former arm, but it didn't hurt at all. I marvelled at the wonders of cutting-edge Kawashita technology.... Noticing my lack of clothes, I was pleased to find a new, clean set at the foot of the bed. As I dressed, I realised that this was not the cloak and armour I had worn while hunting the mutants, but my old explorers' gear, from back before I'd had a memory loss. Even my hair had been neatly brushed back into its old shape. I liked it. Meanwhile, outside my companions had finished the mission I set out to complete. Captain Askarn had set out earlier in the morning, equipped with a Spider-class exo-suit which could grip vertical surfaces like a spider's legs. He'd been successful. The limp, lifeless form of the mutant who'd caused the deaths of three loyal Kawashita operatives dangled, in chains, below the exo-suit as it leapt through the trees and rocks of the Sorn landscape. Akiko Kawashita was the first to notice that I was standing on the platform above the base with her and Kytes, "How - how are you? How's your arm?" But Kytes interrupted her, "Good to see you're awake - Raven wants to see you - ASAP." Without minifigs/vehicles: [C&C welcome!]

Location: B08 Greater Direstan Tags: Exploration, Land Vehicle Mission Log: Entry 25 ~ That basic speeder from last week was a little too .... basic, and I was suitably pleased when I was assigned an upgrade: the Anomalocaris light recon speeder. It was meant to bear some resemblance to some prehistoric sea creature from billions of years ago, but I really didn't care. It was sleek, fast and well-equipped to navigate the terrain of Greater Direstan. Anyway, this was when I found it. As I skimmed along a grassy clifftop permeated by caves, I saw a glint of brighter, sharper, artificial green in the grass, and slowed to a halt. To my surprise, the shattered, tarnished remains of a robot became visible, lying in pieces half-under some vegetation. The bright green eyes flickered and focused, and one of the robot's hands was raised a few centimetres, in a gesture that obviously meant Help me. Within an hour, I had it loaded onto my speeder and was heading back to base, wondering where it came from (it wasn't either an Octan, MANTIS or Kawashita make) and how it had come to be in such a pitiful state. I needed answers... Without speeder: The Anomalocaris (google it if you've never heard the name ) [C&C welcome.]

Spencer's Diary - 31 Maian 3815. I'm on board the OCS 'Your paycheck could depend on this', on approach to Hennigan II. Unit Manager Dorkness has been looking for ways to get back at me since I ran over the CEO's cat during his recent visit to Quantus III. He was certainly sniggering when he told me to report to Dr. Blomkampf in the Engineering Bay for a new assignment. I can't think why, the Doc seems like a decent enough old buffer, even if he does have his head in the clouds. Anyway I'm just about to find out. "Ah! You must be the test driver Mr. Dorkness mentioned. Do come in, I think you’ll be most interested in what I have to show you.” “What would interest me, Doc, is anything that will save me days of traipsing around the landscape looking for water sources.” “I see. Well, if my calculations are correct, I may have just that. I’ve recently been studying the unique properties of Awesomnium when combined with lignin and cellulose composites…” “Come again?” “Wood.” “Oh, right.” “Please don’t interrupt my train of thought. It turns out that if you insert Awesomnium fibres into wooden materials, they generate a natural resonance field that is perturbed by the presence of nearby bodies of water. Optimize the geometry and movement of the field, and this perturbation translates into physical vibrations that can be detected by the highly sensitive equipment I’ve incorporated into my specially modified Div-9R walker. YOU are going to be the first to test this remarkable cutting edge technology in the wild!” “So… you want me to search for water by waving a pointy stick?” “If you want to put it like that, yes.” “And I suppose this walker is equipped with defenses against any possible hostile alien lifeforms? “Oh dear me no! Any such thing would disrupt my delicate instruments. But you do get a roof in case of inclement weather.” "Gee thanks Doc..."

Spencer's diary, Junali 3815 After an easy ride on Xerillian last week, I've been called back to Dr. Blomkampf's engineering facility on board the OCS 'Your paycheck could depend on this'. I wonder what I'm letting myself in for this time... "Ah! Spencer! I'm glad it's you. I've just been putting the finishing touches to my newest design." "No pointy sticks this time?" "No, but I think you'll like it anyway..." "Wow, she's a beaut Doc. What do you call her?" "The Octan Octonaut! The most advanced Awesomnium prospecting vehicle ever designed, if I do say so myself. And with the 8-legged ambulatory system, she's stable on any terrain. Just try not to leave her in the bottom of a sinkhole this time, eh?" For once, the Doc was as good as his word. The Octonaut handles the rocky plains of Kaalin with ease. It may be a little cramped inside, but the armour's thick enough to withstand a meteorite strike. Drill deployed!

Spencer's diary, 7 Junali, 3815 After last week's debacle on Hennigan II (the Div9-R walker ended up wrecked in a water-filled sinkhole that it failed to detect) it was a great relief to be relocated to Xerillian. Even if it is a dustball, my first assignment is a milk run - escorting exploration expert Lu Caslaug-Hing back from her 'beach holiday' at the planet's only substantial body of surface water. This OC-117 hovercar is top of the range, the senior management must think highly of Ms Caslaug-Hing. I hear she made some interesting discovery on Hennigan II. The OC-117 is fast and comfortable, and its zero-downdraft hover tech means that it doesn't even kick up much dust. I hope they let me keep it!
