But can they secure such a license? Mega Construx has been doing some Futurama characters, which is why I fear that the property is locked down. But I'd happily be wrong.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 20. Rumors and discussion
Hive replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Prices are getting pretty darn steep for a single minifigure, no matter the amount of new molds in each one... I mean, we'll be getting polybag sets consisting of both a figure AND bricks cheaper. -
It's a nice set for sure - but without licensed minifigs and printed pieces/stickers to go with it, I'm not really interested.

Amen to that, brother. -
Prince Charming, Chaos Goddess and Da Vinci are fantastic.
-
I despise brick built sails, they really take away from a model for me. I'd never display a set with brick built sails.

Castle will return. LEGO wouldn't have build a giant Castle Hotel in Billund if they didn't have plans for the theme. Likewise, it's a castle king who's center for their new VIP launch at their online shop. I think we could see a new Castle theme in 2020.

THE PIRATE BAY IS GOING TO BE AN OFFICIAL LEGO SET!!!!
Hive replied to Another Brick In The Wall's topic in LEGO Pirates
Perhaps for you, but getting new and exciting minifigs is pretty high on my own "Pirates wants" list. I like variation. -
I wonder if they'll do something special with Hidden Side for Halloween...
-
I've gotten all my Hidden Side sets at sale from 35-51 % off. But those sales weren't targetted Hidden Side specifically, but just coincided with some general LEGO sales. Pretty lame to open up with a minifig that's in literally ALL (except the juice bar) Hidden Side sets. Where have you seen the pizza delivery guy?

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

We have TWO coffee shops: Café Corner and Assembly Square. -
The colours, architecture and parts of the castle itself are great - but the figures and heraldy are terrible.
-
I was very pleased to be able to snatch a sealed Troll Warship for a low price around 2013. Ships in the Castle themes haven't exactly been common, and this was a pretty good one.

I think you misunderstand: LEGO has announced that they're doing the Pirate Pay as a set. It's not just some speculation based on a leaked head. -

Very exciting news - and equally exciting was the mere fact that LEGO achknowledge that pirates are in high demand. -
Fantasy Castle was great, and Medieval Market Village is probably my all-time favorite LEGO set. That said, I liked the overall vibe of Kingdoms a bit better. It was a gigantic shame that they cancelled that one only to release a watered down version of the same a couple of years later.

You can still use your points for a cash discount, I don't get the complaining. Yes, it's a few more clicks - but it can't hardly be THAT cumbersome to you... Personally, I like the new setup much better. I'd rather spend my VIP points on rare, exclusive former GWP sets than use them for a cash discount. Because it cash discounts were all that, why would anyone ever buy directly from LEGO in the first place? Much better cash discounts can always be found in so many other stores, be it online or physical. Now if only they'd give us some more GWP sets to spend the points on soon...

Perhaps I was a bit harsh, but I do feel disappointed by the outside of the house. I agree that it has a lot of details inside, though. And yeah, the lack of minifigures - and them trying to pass off a tile as one - disappoints me greatly. I believe the lowest count before this was 5 minifigs, and usually I believe the count has been around 8 on average,
-
Disappointed that they haven't allowed us to exchange points for more past GWP sets/polybags yet. The VIP set was great, and I'm sure the big Batman set was great for those 11 people who managed to get it before it was sold out as well... but let's see something new now, especially since they haven't had either in stock for a while anyway. All their posters, colouring sheets and background images are worthless prizes to me.
-
It's up here again now.
-
Steep price for a bland set with just 2 minifigs. I'm sort of provoked that LEGO in their official press release tries to pass the gingerbread baby TILE off as a 3rd figure...
-
I got it today, very impressed with the parts selection and the fact that very few stickers are used. I was very surprised to see all those printed tiles, as I expected them all to be stickers. Ross and Chandler are spot on, Joey is okay - but the females doesn't really look much like their characters and Gunther is just kinda there. Fun shirt for him, though.

Amazingly enoough, just as I had given up all hope, I decided to try one last time - and the order went through! I really didn't expect it to. I didn't get my preferred payment method, but eh... as long as it works.
-
Anyone manage to buy from Bricks & Pieces? I managed to get all the way to processing my payment before it fails. I even tried both with creditcard and PayPal.

Interestingly, things have taken quite a turn since I created this topic. 2019 has been my most expensive LEGO year so far - and I haven't even bought all the sets I want yet. There's been some really strong offerings from Creator, Hidden Side, Harry Potter, Ideas, CMF and even a couple of Friends sets I couldn't resist.
