  1. No, the space liner was crusing at the resort planet Fhloston Paradise.
  2. Nice busy vacation scene! Especially love the pink bear. :D
  3. Boxart and pricetimates here: http://technicbricks.blogspot.com/2010/11/1h2011-technic-sets-new-box-images.html It's quite clear that we'll have mini-actuators! Yay!
  4. It looks like you don't have much practice in the kitchen.
  5. I used the minifig-app today to find Spartans. Turned out it was much, much quicker to compare the last few lines of the barcode manually. Used the phone to verify in the end.
  6. Hi!

What up with the Swedish sig? :)

    /T

  7. Here you can see the Shave a Sheep-sheep: http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=3845-1
  8. Like AndyC said, this has been known to Eurobricks since May 2009. ;) http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=28659 But it's well worth more exposure than dwelling in the Technic-cave...
  9. Cool concept, had not heard of Elphinstone previously. Your MOC looks like it will be great, looking forward to that video!
  10. I use these two: GetPrice - Clever little utility that checks the price of a set number from S@H and BrickLink. Great to see if that reduced set in the local store is a bargain or not. Lego Mini Figure Identifier - What it says, takes a little while but... Shame it wont work on series 3, I would not have bothered with the first two if I had not been able to know what I was buying.
  11. Moving chairs was a first (AFAIK). :) Hope to see the brakes better when the photos get on-line, could not make that out on the video.
  12. Good work! Suppose chewie smells like wet dog... One thing: I don't think cacti grow so close to water?
  13. Cool! I remember figuring out how different gears effect speed with the windmill in the 8020 Universal Set. I swapped the 24t and the 8t around.
  14. Found the name: Kernite K-Nate Aerosol. Here's a Tech-PDF: http://www.kernite.com/kernite/vContent/3/documents/general/K_Nate_Aerosol_Tech_Sheet.pdf Will try to get hold of a can and try it out.
  15. According to Bricklink inventories these 17 sets (5118 is not a set and 8482 & 8483 are basically the same set) used both connectors and cables: (5118 Flex System Service Pack 1991) 7471 Mars Exploration Rover 2003 8002 Destroyer Droid 2000 8074 Universal Set with Flex System 1991 8412 Nighthawk 1995 8437 Future Car 1997 8440 Formula Flash 1995 8444 Air Enforcer 1999 8445 Indy Storm 1999 8457 Power Puller 2000 8479 Barcode Multi-Set 1997 8482 CyberMaster 1998 (8483 CyberMaster with Storage Case 1998) 8485 Control Center II 1995 8828 Front End Loader 1992 8836 Sky Ranger 1992 8839 Supply Ship 1992 8856 Whirlwind Rescue 1991 9748 Droid Developer Kit 1999 I have to rebuild the 8002 Destroyer Droid one of these days, it's quite clever. Edit: And here's the number of sets per year: 1991 x 3 1992 x 3 1995 x 3 1997 x 2 1998 x 1 (but in two different packages) 1999 x 3 2000 x 2 2003 x 1
  16. Yeah, what else can you do? Milan, do you still have the Excavator built and have gotten hold of a camera with video? Would love to see a more full featured video of this MOC!
  17. The last set (to date) to use the Flex-system was the 7471 Mars Exploration Rover that came 2003, but the connectors (but no cable) are also found in the Bionicle Supplemental 8715 Ultimate Creatures Accessory Set from 2005. I have what I presume is an above normal collection of these parts but have never used them in a MOC, yet. The main problem is that they are pretty flexy. They did come in many lengths though (in studs): 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18, 19, 20, 23 and 33 The 8457 Power Puller from 2000 had some pretty bad steering alright! I like the use of them in the 8479 Barcode Multi-Set where they first close the grabber and then lifts the arms, that is a nice solution to a two stage movement!
  18. I thought the Technic, Axle Connector (Ridged with x hole x orientation) was replaced by the new Technic, Axle Connector (Smooth with x hole + orientation). That and poor light made me put the smooth ones in yellow into the 8043 Excavator gearbox. Luckily I detected the mistake when I ran out of yellow smooth ones a few steps later and suddenly found the three tan ones... So the 8043 uses two of the three types...
  19. The 8844 use is pretty flimsy and I remember it was quite challenging to get the angles correct. For that use the angle connectors are a vast improvement, even though I generally don't like when three parts get replaced by one... Another toothed part that became extinct in 2004 is the Technic plate 1 x ? with toothed ends, like this 1 x 6 (part 4262): DLuders, in your example the angle is not set by the teeth. The parts are free to rotate around the axle pin...
  20. Some neat solutions here, well done!
  21. Oh man... This is insane! Just... perfect! Well done! Very, very well done! That's about all I can say right now, can't quite grasp this.
  22. Yeah, if you shed a little light before taking the pics perhaps we could see. Sorry, but those photos really suck! Try putting the object on a table with a white paper behind it. Put a couple of lamps shining on it, but try to avoid reflexes. Find the macro-setting on your camera, usually looks like a flower.
  23. Interesting! Bar fight between the scrap hoarders of some distant backwater. Like the others; shame you scrapped the background. It's a nice grand piano fitting for a concert hall, I would however prefer a standup piano in a western scene.
