How open are you about your Lego passion?
Tobbe Arnesson replied to Fugazi's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Legononymous, wow what a story! :-O -
Depends on the beer (like wine). Most strong alcoholic Belgian brews age very well for up to ten years; Rochefort 10, Chimay bleue etc.. These are generally bottle conditioned, a small amount of yeast has been put into the bottles so fermentation in the bottle occur. In fact some bottles have been aged a few years before they are released onto the market. Also a lot of porter and stout get better with age, especially the imperial versions (more alcohol). Hop-juice like IPA generally don't age well since the hop flavor dies relatively fast, but some prefer them more matured/less hoppy. Personally I prefer them as fresh as possible, but still have some old bottles. But this is due to the fact that I tend to buy a number of bottles when they are available (availability for craft beer in Sweden can be quite troublesome - but nowhere near as bad as Norway). Lagers don't age well at all. I'm gonna buy me a case of Rochefort 10 and age those, I think they are a little to sharp on the tongue when new. Aging will probably cure that. But they are so damn tasty I always drink them before they get old. :D I got some 15 Chimay bleue from 2007 in that shelf but most bottles are newer. I'm quite new to the wonderful world of craft beer.

Very well done! I like that you've cleaned up around the eninges which seemed a tad overclustered on the original. Here's the official set for those (like me) who don't know it: http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=5982-1

They're still sealed...

How open are you about your Lego passion?
Tobbe Arnesson replied to Fugazi's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I'm very open about it. Some time ago a colleague asked me if I was into LEGO. It turned out he too was an AFOL. When we started discussing which subgenres we we're into I could feel the drilling looks of "what the f*ck" from some of the other colleagues. :D Of course I had to start dropping a few set numbers to stir things around a bit. The upset colleague, who is a big nerd in other regards but did not seem to accept LEGO for adults, checked them on his iPhone and got even more upset. Good times! :D -
All important information about

OT: Last summer I found a restaurant in Copenhagen that would not accept my Swedish VISA card but took a Danish VISA. It was the card machine that would not accept my card, when the employee found out it was a non-Danish card they almost proclaimed me for a moron. Of course you can't use NON Danish VISA-cards! Say what? I did not know there was a difference. Had no problem with my non-Danish VISA in any other place in Denmark, including LEGOLAND. Wish I could join in on this event. :( -

Tobbe Arnesson replied to backbone's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
What a surprise! Don't take it the wrong way, I'm quite fond of truck trials and would love to see some in Sweden. All we get is power pulling... Looks great so far! Best of luck in the comp and hope you shoot some video of the competition as well! -

Here's my beer shelf:

It speaks to me, especially the first photo. Love the look of it. But like others said it has a sad ground clearance. Also the turning radius seem a tad poor and the design is too clean for a post apocalyptic setting? But that's just minor things I don't like, overall it's a great MOC! Edit: Oh, and nice use of minifig legs! :D

Here's one Technic lamb ready for the slaughter!

Oh, had not seen this one! Agree on the lack of towers under the ring but that aside it's nothing short of spectacular! Very inspiring!

Hehe, I've stayed clear of "Aliens vs. Predator" for a long time and I see no reason to stop that. Now if I only could unsee The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy... How the h*ll did they expect to pull that off? The just about only good thing about the book(s) is the hilarious written language (and I do love that), that can't be transfered to a movie...

Nice little scene, very dark (a tad too dark to see all the details, but gives a good mood). Possible WIP sounds promising!

Modified Model Team 5550
Tobbe Arnesson replied to antp's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Nice collection! The original always reminds me of A-Team, perhaps you can do the next one more like the "original" movie van? http://www.starcarhire.co.uk/images/downlo...an_high_res.jpg :D
