One week to go for the show and get something free from my stash. AC
-
I'll be there the whole day on Saturday March 31 and in the afternoon around 2:00PM to close on Sunday April 1. Get a free SW magnet minifig from my stash. See you there! AC
-
Hopefully you've got access now to an endless supply of bricks for your MOCs! AC
-
Enjoyed building them as well and hopefully more to come. Those walls are the skateboard ramps and have never kept track of the piece count. Not gonna happen soon and I don't have the space for it anyway. AC
-
Even more so if you view the bonus pic! Take advantage of clearance sales from other themes and you'll have more! Yes, they are. AC
-
Be sure to look at the full size pic and thanks for noticing the action scenes. All the details shown in the previous modules are there, plus with the addition of connecting walls and floors to match the whole perspective. Wait until you see it for real, well at least some will have a chance to do just that. Thanks and spread the word about it. The bays/docks are pretty much designed with the same/similar structures from the reference screen caps used, so the accesories were done randomly to differentiate one from another. AC PS. Thanks for the FP KD!

Please see first post as I've included the link and details for the show. If you're in the tri-state area, you can view it at the end of this mmonth. I've made use of those half-pipes in other MOCs like this. I've got the other newer versions but as mentioned in the other thread for the Starfighter bay, it was space considerations that made me use the retro one. Just continued with the retro theme by using even the old droidekas, yellow minifigs and such. AC

Mark your calendars for April 10-11 as the Lego newsletter has those days as buy large and pay small PaB cup, of course for VIP members only in US. AC PS. My last large refill PaB cup was full of dark tan tiles.

My latest work plus a few others will be on public display in Edison, New Jersey on March 31, 2012 Saturday thru April 1, 2012 Sunday for the Greenberg Train Show as I've accepted the invitation of NJGardenSLUG for this show. I'm not quite sure how much/many displays would be Lego but GardenSLUG has been doing these shows for quite sometime. AC

It's approximately smaller than 2x4 large baseplates and will be on public display at month's end. It took a couple of hours for the final setup for the minifigs and accessories. Test shots and a few more adjustments after that. Now you see how the three modules fit (well there's multiples of one) together. I guess you're not the only one. AC PS. Thanks for the blog KD (why no comment though?) and also for those who've supported the project thus far.

Thanks for all your patience as now it's completed! AC

Now on public tour/shows, who knows it might just pop-up to a location near you! Goryeb Children's Hospital Benefit at Madison YMCA NJ June 10, 2012 Sunday Greenberg Train Show at Edison, New Jersey March 31, 2012 Saturday - April 1, 2012 Sunday Bonus pic showing what two sides may look like together! The battle rages on inside the Theed hangar as the Trade Federation droid army brings in reinforcements to recapture the hangar. As several Naboo Starfighters scramble to get airborne, the ground forces have been split to enable the royal entourage to get to the palace. Click on the pic for more details and here's the original full size pic! If you enjoy viewing this and my other works, please support the Star Wars Modular Buildings/Locations project that I've created on Lego CUUSOO. Posted teaser on March 7,2012: Just started taking pics and a whole lot of work still to be done with lighting, focus, etc! Lots of issues when taking pics with an MOC of this size. AC

Speechless as usual? AC PS. Is there a way to possibly have a Like button for a thread? Don't want to put a poll just to find out from the members who appreciate the work but may not want to comment on it.

I've got both shades stocked together so that stacking was done randomly. I couldn't find a clear design on these doors unlike the other one with DM so I just made this up. Thanks for the blog KD, the top arch was a pain to build as I tried to close the gaps as much as possible. In the movie scenes, the window has only one arch but the largest brick arch could not span the length of the window panes below so I improvised with this design. Also the windows were clear in the movies scenes so I kept it that way. Here's a detailed shot from the exterior. You better! See comment above about the doors. This shows the versatility of modular builds. Sure wish I had more in stock. Detail counts! There's a gap between the exterior and interior walls where the doors slide to the sides. Only the best BDs guard the palace interior. AC

The royal entourage breaks through the grand hallway using a little known route into the palace from the hangar. Alternate model The fourth in a series of Lego Star Wars Modular Buildings. Click the pic for more details... AC

This is the last pic before total destruction and the skeletons do show in the other detailed pics. No, just him getting out of it. Need the tan bricks for the other project. Say bye-bye to it. AC

Just created the AC

I've been asked numerous times since I've started building MOCs if I keep them all built. The answer has always been "Yes, but only for some time". Inevitably they get deconstructed and this thread will keep tabs from hereon which gets to the recycling bin. Posted February 27, 2012 MOC built in May 2011. AC

Not sure which one as I've bought several when they were on sale and just parted them out for my inventory. Sure, I'll give you a link to the pics! Now that's a question for Oky as I'm not leading this CB. AC
-
Ask and you shall receive! Thanks for the blog. Did you expect anything less? What LEGOman273 replied. Correct. Yeah but he closed it afterwards and that's why the entourage couldn't get through! The door was designed similar to the real one, the fan is all mine. You'll have to wait and see how these builds all turn up. Go ahead and do it! Good eye for spotting the scale that I've used to maintain it appropriately for the minifigs. Don't know off hand from what set it came from but you can search BL for that. Just keeping the storyline consistent with the other builds. That's the general idea to these builds and hopefully somebody else does it too! AC

An unexpected encounter with the Sith Lord forces the rebels to alter their plans, an alternate route to the palace for the entourage while the two Jedi deal with the menace. The third scene in a series of Lego Star Wars Modular Buildings. Click on the pic for more details... AC

Yes, the tail of the N-1 fits securely through the exhaust port! Probably! AC

It's always good to read the other comments first so you don't wind up asking the questions that have already been answered. These modular builds are aimed to be both independent of each other or merged into bigger builds. Think about how cool it would look if you got several of these side by side of each other! AC
-
Army building time! Took advantage of the TRU sale for the Geonosian Cannon (9491) so I got six of them and two of these free! Hurry up if you want to take advantage of this offer as it only lasts this weekend. AC

Could be, I just picked it out of the box which I thought had the facial expression appropriate for the scene. Sorry, never played the game so I don't know exactly what you're referring to. Details count! Yes they are! After the build, it's always fun to get the action shot for the final touch. Again I don't know the details of the LSW game. I always like to use the older sets plus I'll leave the mods to others when it comes to vehicles/ships. Only mod in this one were the silver pieces to the engine intakes. That's the general idea to this scene. Not yet. Thanks for the blog and you're right on about the reason/s why I used the older starfighter set. A BL seller many years ago were selling them dirt cheap (10c apiece) and I bought all that was in stock! I didn't think so! Good amount of details where necessary do add to the overall effect of the scene. I didn't remove the tail as there's a hole for the exhaust port at the back which you'll see in the top one. Start small and end big! AC
