Each new store has grand opening details and it's been a $35 purchase to get the T-shirt (Friday), Store set (Saturday) and CMF (Sunday). You should check out the other new locations for more details. I was able to meet Otto but couldn't chat longer as the build was busy. Didn't see him at the race yesterday as that was even more packed with runners. Unfortunately that happens and I've actually seen others bring their family (parents and kids) so they can make multiple purchases. Still there was enough to go around for the people who lined up as I saw the line disappear around 11:30AM during my break and saw in the store that they still had the store set available. AC

If I'm going I can't do carpool due to what I want to bring with me. AC

Be there early if you really want one as each store only has a limited number to give out. There were a lot of disappointed customers when they came around noon as they were all gone. AC

That design is the back of the shirt, the front has the store name and dates of the grand opening. I got large since they ran out of the smaller sizes on Friday and pic added for the CMF. AC

Thanks again and it's been quite an experience with the past two shows that I've brought my MOCs. So I'm really planning to take them out more often but there's just one more issue that I have to deal with for August and if that doesn't pan out then I'll surely go. AC

Thanks all for your advise about the space requirements as I also have reached out to Todd about it. He indicated that when I do register and should specify the size of the MOCs that I'll bring. The tables are 8' x 4' which is similar in size to what I have for building my MOCs. But if I have a need to extend beyond that, they can accomodate that too. If I go, here's what I want to bring with possible mods that could extend the footprint. And maybe a few smaller ones... AC

BrickFair VA 2012 Thursday, Aug 2nd - Sunday, Aug 5th, 2012 Anybody attending or has anybody attended this in the past? I'm still considering whether to go or not as it's probably a good four-five hours drive and which MOC will I bring. Is there a space limitation for the attendees bringing their MOCs? Only caveat is I have a local show the week after at the same location in Edison NJ from the previous show and expecting a much bigger booth for display. Those are not gongs, they're targets for the archers! These were built as modular/individual units so they can easily be merged in various ways. Especially the six and below whose eye level is just at the table level. Every one of them instantly recognized the Ninjago characters and went through the whole scene to find all of them! Nothing like getting the thumbs up from every kid who've seen these and the amazement by the parents realizing afterwards that these were not sets that can be bought. AC

Too bad you can't be there but I don't think he's going to have any issues with the purchase. AC

Brought the dojo and samurai house from the Akai Shiro The younger kids liked this better than the hangar scene since they were more into Ninjago. AC
