  1. I really like the new banner, but the green takes a bitgetting used to. Nevertheless I was already waiting for a new skin for long, so good job.
  2. Oh, btw, I just found out the "beware of strangers" note is not a CIA note. The same person who has written the note has also written the "hope you don't mind me borrowing that" note inside the armory. I don't think a CIA agent has to steal rifles, unless of course they have had severe budget shortages. Not that I want to say the note was wrong, I just wanted to advert to that. No problem. Scrutinizing things is the only way to find out the truth.
  3. Well, we already have two killers which both didn't kill Valerie, and I think, if there was another vigilante who's got reason to suspect the mayor, I think he would speak up now.
  4. No, but why would a vigilante kill the mayor? There was no reason to distrust him, and vigilantes never kill authority persons without reason. The chance is too high they might have actions, I guess. Or it's some psychological factor. Or it's just the respect brought to the official ones or such.
  5. I think we all agree about that. And I can hardly believe the commies would have neither a killer nor a converter from the beginning on. That would be highly unfair in my eyes.
  6. I'm afraid don't get what you mean.
  7. Also good accumulation of evidence. Can't disprove it, so it puts Simmons directly next to you on my suspicion list. I know, it just occured me. But we know there was a killer who missed his target, and we know there were no attempts until Garrison came. This points to a converter.
  8. Excuse me, but I wouldn't say I was that quite. I would guess, that I'm talking enough to be at least in the upper half of our group. Of course not everyone can talk as much as you. If people who suggest destruction are commies, we should move Stevie at the top of our suspicion list. I wouldn't be that sure about Harrison. Actually, it's interesting how much there is against him: -He is very silent and hasn't said a word for several chapters hours or days or whatevers. -He talked privately with the Chief in 3a. I know this doesn't say he's a communist, but maybe he wanted to clear something that couldn't wait for the night? No idea. -When you found the boat, Phelps kept the rifle and the pistol and handed Harrison the ammo. If they were both scum, it would be a good move to fake security. -The well-known and a bit too obvious badge -He was rather early to vote for Dolores (the 5th) -he didn't vote for Phelps at all, as you pointed out I also got another theory: What if Phelps was able to convert people to commies? What if the commies had the choice between a killer and Phelps, the converter? They usually used Phelps to recruit further commies, but once they attempted a kill on the mayor. But they didn't know, the killer was no normal killer, but would always miss his target and kill someone else accidently. Findig out that their killer was not only useless, but had even killed one of them, they decided to always use Phelps action. When Phelps was voted off, Garrison was sent as reinforcement, since the commies had now neither a good killer nor a converter. Being a well-trained army man, Garrison would always get the right target and replace the former weak killer. It may sound a bit weird, but I tried to find a logical explanation for all this.
  9. So now the whole solution of all this is you didn't notice you could use your night action also at chapter endings?
  10. Right, I have completely forgotten about that. I think that's a pretty good argument, and I think I now have enough reasons to vote: Garrison/Arjay. Pkease, feel free and post your suspect list nevertheless. I'm looking forward to it. And about Dolores: we shall not forget that Phelps was the first one to vote for her, starting a voting bandwagon that almost killed her, and then Dolores was the first one to vote for him, creating a bandwagon that finally killed Phelps. I don't think commies would kill each other like that. It's absurd. By the way, James, you're working hard to get Dolores killed. You seem like you are trying to save Garrison from getting voted off.
  11. I don't think so. I mean, I don't think the commies would waste their night actions having no proof that we know when they don't use it. I agree it would be a good tactic if they know someone would observe them, if they had a rat in a groop of organized townies. But I hope James hasn't told anyone about his plans to block Dolores, have you? And even if they somehow found out, since we already knew Dolores had an action, I think not using it would have drawn more attention then actually using it. And I think def is far too much All-star to forget using his actions. For now I would vote for Garrison, but I will give him a chance to defend himself again and let others bring up some evidence against someone else.
  12. That is quite interesting, but there's one thing that I'm wondering about: You say Dolores used no night action that chapter ending. You asked her about her action, without telling her what you know, and she said she couldn't use it for that odd reason. Now I'm wondering: If she is really not an investigator, what is she then? She has a night action, and we are pretty sure she an block. Now she claimed her action was both blocking and investigating, and the host Stanley said such an action might exist. So if she's no investigator, but therefore a simple blocker, she had lied to us. If she lied, she is most likely scum. But if she is a scum blocker why didn't she use her night action that day? Just a small question that came to me and confuses me. The top of my suspicion list is still Garrison for obvious reason. Haven't we already investiagted the ship?
  13. One question, who of us knows how to navigate a ship? I could imagine James does, but is there someone else as well?
  14. When were we told the note was a CIA note? But no complains about anything else you said.
  15. Wow, now that was a pell-mell. I wonder what we're supposed to do next? We can hardly investigate, being on the ship. Any ideas anyone?
  16. Yes, and, even more, it's a currently running game. I think it's a bad idea to include parts of current games.
  17. Don't be so pessimistical. It's just 10 months to wait!
  18. I think, right now Garrison seems more suspicious to me. Dolores and Liebenston were common suspects, as seen at the voting day, and Frankie seemed a bit suspicious to me for a short time as well, so he could very easily be just a misaiming vigilante. And we should remember he was the second to vote for the communist Chief, right after Dolores. And Garrison has already brought up the "Beware the newcomers" note. Following that, if Maxwell was no communist, we still have Garrison and me. Since I knwo I'm no communist, there is only Garrison and Maxwell left. So to me everything points towards Garrison, but of course we can't be sure. The best thing would really be if you both just stopped killing.
  19. Good point. But we should also ask ourselves, which reason a communist killer could have to kill those targets.
  20. Alright, I also don't know what else we might do here. I concur about Phelps residence. Captain Garrison, since you seem to be not locked up, will you give us permission to visit Phelps' residence? Or do we have to ask Stanley?
  21. Yeah, but not in the time AoE plays in. I myself own the game and I played it long enough, and I liked the gameplay very much. I also like the TAD add-on very much, as it brings in some nice new features. It's sometimes a bit too anachronistical for me, but it still has an appealing design. I played with every culture a lot, but the ones I most like were the Ottomans, Russians, Germans and Japanese from the add-on.
  22. Not really, since it's all rather logical. The protector protects, the blocker blocks, the investigator investigates, paranoid investigators always get scum, naive ones always get town results, the usurper wants to kill the boss, the serial killer is neither town nor scum and so on. Btw, I'm missing the blocker on the scum side, it was invented as scum role, wasn't it?
  23. That's exactly what I did in Bloodbrick. Then I thought it would be better to trust two people, just to be sure...and then I contacted Scouts. Shouldn't Quarry announce his game now? Can't wait!
  24. I'd like to leave the lighthouse and examine and knock on all the rocks on the outside, looking for a falls rock,a secret trap door, things laying around or such. I'd also like someone who has been with the group since the beginning to have a look at the wreck and tell if anything changed since you left, just to be sure.
  25. It has the same effect, but they aren't exactly the same, as the jailkeeper knows he's a jailkeeper, but the paranoid doctor thinks he was a doctor. Sorry for being a smartass.
