  1. Thanks for the amazing review, very thourough! I want to acquire at least one complete serie with multiple gnome for a project I have. I also strongly believe that the musketeer will, like the spartan and elf, be hoarded and resold at a higher price which I very much dislike. Pirate
  2. Maersk Blue Must buy lots!!!!! This color is beautifull! I'm not a fan of trains but I think I'll get this set, it looks amazing! Pirate
  3. I have always wondered about these games and looked at a few of them. I'd be interested in joining the school, this looks interesting. Sign me up!!! Pirate
  4. +1 to The_Customizer and +1 to Sci_Fi thank you!!!
  5. The concept behind the MOC is excellent and the proportions fell right. I especially like the proportions of the chairs vs the microfigs. Great entry, great MOC Pirate
  6. This was discussed in length here hope it helps! Pirate
  7. Amen to that!!!! Great topic !!! Besides having my fiance distracted by some chick flick or random activity,my ritual involves : - A theme/build related movie (usually PotC or SW) - Cleaning the coffee table - Making sure my Nerf gun is loaded for cat-distraction/shooting if he/she sits in my pieces - Having either a coffee, rye and ginger or beer close by, not too close though - Sorting by color (makes the build at least twice as long) - BUILDING! It also generaly involves large amount of time swooshing, I have this thing where I swoosh EVERYTHING I build cars, ships, planes, boats ..... swooshing is FUN! pirate
  8. I have to say that even though having a first glance at a set is always AWESOME, watermarked or not, but I support LEGO in their statement. After all thinking about it "it's just good business" as Lord Cutler Beckett would ahve said! Lego is trying to protect it's product/investment past, current and especially future sets. I for one wil report any leaked images I see as I would like for LEGO to continue to produce quality toys for many more decades. Pirate
  9. May you rest in peace Zorro. I have read may comments about how kind, generous and friendly Zorro was. For a man as young as 27 to have made a great impression on so many people is amazing. To Zorro's loved ones I offer my sincere condolences. *Lowers the flag to half-mast and offers a final salute* Pirate
  10. So as the title implies, I would like to trade or sell (I prefer trade) my once-built-mint-condition 10195 Republic Dropship with AT-OT walker along with 2 once-built-mint-condition 8014 clone walker battle pack. I would love to trade all 3 as a unit, preferably to someone in north america (I'm in Canada). What am I expecting in return? Any good monetary offer Or for a good trade I'm interested in: Any ships of the pirate line - especially the Imperial flagship Series 3 figs (Elves!!!)-or spartans from series 2 Redcoats, lots of them - new or old style I'm guess-timating the value at roughly 260-300$ on these together. PM me if interested!!!! Pirate
  11. I have recently buffed one of my friend's car's headlights using a headlight restoration kit (3M makes one but there are many others also). It basically involves wet sanding with very fine grit sand paper and then polishing using a compound. I have not tried it on Lego yet but am positive it could work, If I had to try something this would be my first try and best bet. Pirate
  12. Lego is a toy, let's face it! However Lego is also a medium for creating pretty much anything possible, anything you put your mind to, I remember seing a PF printer, a sorting-machine-thing, many robots, cool RC cars, reprocuctions of pieces of art, life size models etc. Is it nerdy? probably! Do I consider myself a nerd/geek/dork? No! Do others consider me nerdy? Most definitely!!! But most importantly, Do I care? NO!!!! I've been playing with and collecting Lego for as long as I can remember and am not about to quit!!! Lego takes me away, gets the edge off, relaxes me, if all that makes me a nerd, then I am and am sure proud of it! Pirate

  14. Blackicep8ntball 2 points cecilie 1 point Dix 1 point brickcitydepot 1 point All great entries, thanks for the MOCs Pirate
  15. Lovely! The nativity scene is my favorite part, very nice!! I like how you went further and used "stain glass" in the windows it adds a nice touch! Pirate
  16. I don't think I had ever seen a magic carpet in Lego before, it is brilliant. I like the whole MOC it has the feel of a market street and represents Aladin qujkite well, I especially like Jafar and Jago. Very well done! Pirate
  17. I think they were "painted" in. Is that a John Deere hat ..... WIN!!!! Cute MOC i like it simple and clean!!! Pirate
  18. Cool, very nice creation and 100% pure LEGO at that!!!! I especially like the idea of attaching the x-pod to the ornament ball the look is really complete! Pirate
  19. Whenever I rebuild a set from my child hood I go through the extra trouble to get the exact piece (the old one, the chewed one). As it has been said it adds to the nostalgia and makes that more classic. I do sometimes redo old sets in new colors just to see what they would look like. My 2 cents Pirate
  20. OMG .... I'm not sure what to say here ... This is impressive, not to say the least! I don't think there are any grey technic bars left on bricklink LOL If you ever get around to it, a video of the functions would be pretty awesome. Keep up the good excellent work! Pirate
  21. Thank you for the review! The set looks just awesome, I was not really into Atlantis, only buying the sets for parts but this new wave I for sure will get (and build! ) all the sets!! Anyways thanks for the pics .... must find it ... gold statue Thanks Pirate
  22. Time cruisers for sure .... I mean how weird is this As someone already said, to me Time Cruisers seems like something LEGO came up with to get rid of extra parts and just bunched up parts at random and called it a set. NinjaGo on the other had is meant as a game (from what I understand) rather than an actual theme. Besides the ninjaGo minifigs and accessories look AWESOME (gold chain!!!). My 2 cents Pirate
  23. Hi there! Speaking for myself I can say that I tend to buy anything that appeals to me, any sets that have interesting/unique parts or cool mimifigs. My principal interest is definitely pirates, as a kid I only got 1 set but when I stepped out of my dark ages the first sets I bought were the pirates ... all of them .... in one shot ... and then some (I think I have 34 or 40 of this set). I try as much as possible to buy sets with which I can expand my pirate universe, the medieval market, castles and pretty much all CC style buildings. I know some AFOLs tend to collect one or 2 themes but it seems I can't get around to imposing a limit to myself, if I like it I buy it ... pretty simple!!!!! Hope it helps!!! Pirate
  24. The little sleigh thing makes this whole MOC, I love it and will for sure borrow the idea!!!! Thanks for sharing! Pirate
