I don't think this post was made to bash on M**A B****S but to ascertain the feasibility of making the Leopard II in bricks. I spent the last 1/2 hour or so comparing the parts list in the instructions with bricklink and can say that it would totally be possible and in fact make one awesome looking MOC. There are however some GIANT SNOT pieces: And this : A magic cube that controls (or seems to) 3 axis in one ... Interesting My 2 cents!! Pirate

Quick Sale, AT-OT and BP Walkers
Piratedave84 replied to sci-fi's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
LOOL I recognize these sets I had posted the sets as a trade a few months back Link and had almost no interest (minus sci-fi) that is!! Nice to see you made money out of it mate!!!! Pirate -
Brickset says 963; that however does not include figs contained in a trade with sci-fi Link to pic So I'd say I have about 1000 figs Pirate

Awesome job on using those arches for wings, very clever!! The scale is perfect too!! Those launch rails are great!!!! Pirate

These are all very nice models, all easily recognisable! The ford is my favorite, the lines and silhouette are sleek! Keep em coming!!! Pirate

Would this be big enough? if it is, instructions are available to build from scratch and most bricks used are common hope it helps!! Pirate

Eurobricks' 3rd LDD RCB
Piratedave84 replied to Brickdoctor's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I've always wondered!!!!! great question! My interpretation is as follows: Black were security services Red were citizens or the general population of my bases Blue were astronauts White were professionals (medic, fireman, workers etc.) Yellow were engineers Pirate -
The instructions say there should be 2 different pieces, so do all the promo pics and all set related material. I now went to TLG's site and tried to order a replacement but this piece is not listed, likely due to the fact it's a printed piece. I sent them an e-mail asking for the piece ... stay tuned EDIT - after looking at the set some more, one of my eye pieces (right one) is misprinted, it's too high, doesn't align properly and is missing the upper most "edge" of the eye.

I recently purchased an 8484 ultimate buildLlightning McQueen and to my suprise when I was almost done .... this happened How weird does that look!!!! Basically I have received 2 right side smile print as opposed to one of each side Has anyone else bought the set and experienced the same?? Brickshelf gallery (when public) with additional pictures! I've just finished reading all yours blogs and have to say it's impressive work. You were very thourough in covering the sets and your assessments are right on except that ... I have to disagree with your assessment of 6239-Cannon Battle in that you say it's not that great. In my opinion this set, for an army builder, is pure candy (I have purchased over 40). I believe that your assessment is based on playability and the set as a stand alone kit and in that view I have to agree that it does not have a lot of playability. Excellent work on the blog!!!! This clearly qualifies as NPU. The techniques showcased here are quite unique. I am a big big fan of the branch and bird. I'm on the fence about the legs though, as Cherno said we're not used to seeing arms as legs. I think the technique is pretty cool but throws the chest to leg ratio out of proportions. Excellent work though! Pirate

The lighting effects in these pictures is pure awesome. The statue is brilliant with the anubis headgear, well thought of! Pirate

Which theme/subtheme did you miss and regret?
Piratedave84 replied to BeKindRewind's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I too went into modualr buildings a bit too late and missed out on cafe corner and market street. As far as themes I missed out on, my biggest regret is Pirates (1st serie) as I did not collect those as a kid, i was more into city back then. During my drak ages I feel I missed out on all adventurers lines and western. If only I could be rich and go for all the MISB sets I want!!!! Pirate -
SOOO much tan!!!! I love the idea behind this ... WIP-MOC I don't think I ever saw someone do a build that was .. let's say alive progressing. Can wait to see the rest of the build excavation and the treasures it holds!!! The landscape and back-story add so much value to the build! Pirate

When did your collection reach critical mass?
Piratedave84 replied to Arigomi's topic in General LEGO Discussion
LOL dido!!! My collection is roughly 68 000 pieces and growing but I have slowed down on acquisitions due in part to my daughter (now 2 1/2 months old) and the fact it drives my wife CRAZY when I spend ridiculous sums of money on LEGO. Still I believe it has reached a point where I have enough pieces to accomplish anything I want! Pirate -
Good morning fellow bricksters! I have sorted more parts and organised my collection and found all 6 Bohrok Bionicles in their canisters, they were assembled once, displayed and put back in their canisters. I also have Toa Jaller, Toa Matoro and Toa Lhikan and Kikanalo. All these are up for grabs, reasonalbe trades or cash offer (trades prefered!) PM me if interested!!! Thanks Pirate

WOAAAA ... Very cartoonish/disneyish! I LOVE IT! the hands look sooooo realistic! I had to zoom in and study the leg assembly for some time to understans how it's made ... quite simply genius!!!! Excellent MOC! P.S is the original creator a member? if so please identify yourself so we can give credit where it 's due!! Pirate -
WOW ... what a sight!!! The level of details is impressive! I really like how the roof has different colours (textures?). One of my fav part though .... is the Seagull!!! Awesome work, great technique!!! Pirate

Before your dark age, what was the last set you bought?
Piratedave84 replied to Jargo's topic in Community
Like many of you have said, mu dark ages began in a time when I could not buy Lego due to lack of funds and hence depended on gifts!!!! The last set I remember getting is the 6761 - Bandit's secret hideout I know I continued playing with Lego afterwards for a year maybe but did not receive any Lego until I emerged from my dark ages and went all out and got all the new Pirates sets.
