I was thinking of maybe using a combination of skeleton arms and flex tube with white minifig hands, I played around yesterday and it looks pretty cool! Pirate

*PIcking up jaw* Quite simply amazing MOC. I love the technique used to do the wheel, ingenious use of the "steering wheel" piece! Very easily recognisable scene from the movie. Now if someone could do the scene where they run with the cage made of bones, that would be awesome! Keep Brickin' Pirate

Magnifique création!!! I especially like the suits you made, aren't they the new atlantis scuba things combined with the old aquaraiders mask? Awesome MOC altogether, there's a LOT to look at!! The coral reef is pretty awesome too! Keep brickin' Pirate -
Made me laugh this morning!!! The bird is awesome, might have to steal borrow the idea from you!!! Keep bricking! Pirate

The parts inthe set can be reused otherwise, I have seen somewhere a dude which had made an impressive MOD almost a MOC with the IFS and turned it into some crazy looking sail barge type vessel with engines and wings, it was pretty cool and could easily fit in some kind of expanded universe pirate ship or "space galleon" of some sort. I have 2 and they are AWESOME!!!! Pirate

Ebay fails me... And how to trust Bricklink?
Piratedave84 replied to Artifex's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I have bought several sets and parts and whatnot on bricklink and always had excellent transactions. I had one problem once with some torso's I ahd ordered but through talking with the seller we came to an agreement super fast. I still gave perfect feedback to the seller as she was open to any suggestions as to how to work out our different. Bottom line is Bricklink is awesome, they are serious sellers, most of them AFOL's themselves. Pirate -

I just verified on the Lego S@H site and they (in Canada) are listed as sold out for both battle packs. They might produce more or issue a different serie as they had quality issues with the printing. Pirate

Hi all, I don't usually or often post in the Star Wars forum but thought I would share a little something I found this morning. I was browsing the TRU website in Canada and stumbled upon the 2010 sets, they have Plo Koon's fighter, Slave 1, Grievous's fighter and emperor Palpatine's shuttle. The thing is ... they are all listed as out of stock ... SOON!!!! I was lucky enough that my brother in law went to germany a couple of weeks ago and brought me back a PLo Koon's starfighter. Pirate

Build one out of bricks using 1x2 and 2x2 slopes! I made one for my upcoming frigate and it works quite well, use the proportions and dimensions from bricklink or from an existing piec if you have one. Then when you build the actual model you can just replace the slopes by the hull pieces

Very awesome MOC. It looks and feels very .... Fallout-ish or post-apoc or .... cool!!! Simple, effective and pretty to look at!! Pirate

It depends though, I guess it may have to do with where you are or what you ordered because I have received some from Niagara, On, Markham, On, Mississippi and even europe. Pirate

In the line of education, One of my colleague's daughter has a motor skill disability and has difficulties in calculating things, she knows the number but cannot add them together. So one day we sat down together with a bunch of 2x2's in different colors and 16x16 plates and made what can basically be called some addition tables where the number is divided by color (4 = 1 red + 3 blue or 2 red + 2 blue or 3 red + 1 blue). Since then the child has become much more intent on doing math homework (she loves it) her control over her hands and fine motor skills has increased 3 folds and the parents are very pleased with the result. I being an AFOL truly believe there is MUCH more to the brick than making houses, cars and MOC's (not that I don't love doing so!! ). Eveytime I have a chance to promote the brick or find a new way to use it I am most gald to do so. Pirate

D2C Designers requesting feedback for 2012 models
Piratedave84 replied to CopMike's topic in General LEGO Discussion
1) Yes 2) Depends, mostly individual appeal 3) Buckhingham palace or a cathedral 4) A huge pirate harbor, maybe in modular CC style (many sets that could be merged inot making a huge harbor) 5) Bring back the Pirates!!!! Thanks for listening!!!! Pirate -
For your purpose, the green grocer, market street and maybe emporium are your best bets as far as modular buildings go. As far as other sets .... creator houses offer a noce variety of pieces too.. Hope it helps Pirate

Me like a lot!!!! That's a very nice MOC, I haven't seen many (if any) small (micro?) scale startwars MOC or space battle. I think you acheived a very decent shape for the x-wing, there are not many other ways I can think of building it! Pirate

OMG!!! I'm speechless, the ingenuity of this MOC is ..... beyond reason. I've been looking at this for some time now and still am puzzled by some of the aspects of the build. Both the new and old version of your automatic doors are outstanding, I'm not much of a train fan but this is at the top of my favorite techniques/builds!!!!!! Thanks for sharing the technique too, it's most appreciated. Now If I could only find my jaw .... it dropped earlier! Pirate
