Yeah, RL was quite busy this week with the federal budget being tabled and all!!! These points I am "repeating" are my opinions, at least I am contributing by making my stance know! You target me but how about Palathadric, Peanuts, Boy Wonder, Nightshroud or even Chrome? As far as I can tell, I have been much, much more vocal active than any of those; why not call them out? (I left Redblade out of the list seeing you already call him out). I feel your telling me I am vocal/calling me out is misplaced! What do you want me to say? I agree with what has been said (mostly), I placed my vote on the person I feel it is best to lynch, I followed up everytime my name was brought up, I am active behind the scenes .... It is not my intention to lurk, but I would rather make small, pertinent, comments here and there than to fill the thread with fluff!- 175 replies

These points ... actually make sense; it would indeed enable is to discuss night results openly and make better use of whatever info was gathered last night BUUUUT the trade off is clearly not worth it! Does anyone remember that this very strategy of trying to lure the scum out as a last ditch attempt was actually discussed after/during EB I? I personally think that this subject has been beaten to death; so much so that it would almost be impossible to pull off at the present time; as much as we are weary of the scum, the scum are weary of us. I feel like this was discussed so much that we pretty much warned the scummos that this will be/may be attempted ... What if Scouty turns town in the morning? Then what? We turn to the accusers? It was already pointed out that Scouty tried a similar move in EB I and it got CMP and Hinck killed; it is unlikely IMO that he would try the same thing again!- 175 replies

So I just re-read Scouty's most recent posts and I am quite sad to see that as opposed to indulge his accusers and elaborate on his own theories he has choosen to defend himself ... again ... which is something he had pledged not to do ... As Hinck just pointed out, if we don't lynch him today, we will wonder again tomorrow and it will again, probably, turn into a dead end. I was hoping it was a gambit and that by this time he would have turned around and laid out a case or explanation for his bahaviour. so based on this: Vote: Li'l Scouty (Scouty) Double checks bold-ness ... This game seriously does my head in; - We are in the process of lynching someone who may very well be town because this person is now refusing to participate based on the fact some other kids picked on him. - Any matter of pertinent information cannot be shared or will not be shared for fear of the scum using it to unite - Everyone is paraniod at everyone; so far as we know 2 maybe 3 players(if a massonic conversion was successful) can trust each other and that's it. My mind is seriously ducked! This being said, I am still enclined to vote for Scouty simply because he seems to have given up; I know how frustrating and stressful it can be to be scrutinized but to give up is not an option IMO!- 175 replies

I don't; this is my opinion and the way I perceived things at the time. Bare in mind this was said before Def clarified the PM structure and it was made apparent that the Vig is probably mandatory and the Scum kill is perphaps optional. Knowing that now makes me think it was in fact a Vig-kill rather than scum. Yes it was however in the context being discussed at the time (to find out if a block/protect had happened) it was well placed IMO ... Sorry ... I guess ... Sorry, I shall refrain from speaking my mind and will, from now on, just lurk in the shadows Seriously, I say things as I see them and try to contribute what I believe are valid points/observations. I apologize for not having a super-strong case against anyone to bring forward and debate ... after all, this is day 2 and it would be expected that we all have very convincing arguments to debate!- 175 replies

Not wanting to get in a "who's more helpful" match here but .... Please point me to the place where you contributed .... Anything ... To the discussion? This was made in regards to a comment made on day one which alluded to there being both an SK and 6 scum (I think it was a comment by KdM). Furthermore, it followed up on a series of comments where it was discussed who may have targetted Danny; analyzing numbers in this game may just prove to be helpful. I think you are; several people stated that no one knew whether or not they were "convertible" but no one ever said "I am convertible". The only thing we know for a fact about conversions is that 6-ish people will be convertible and that PRs can also be converted and loose their abilities.- 175 replies

true although what I meant was more like: there was a 1 in 3 out of 22 .. if that makes sense .... whereas the vig is 1 in 1 out 22 .. again if it makes sense! yeah .. this logic is flawed .... Hence the "wishful thinking"!- 175 replies

The town had one in EB Mafia I and there was no mention/allusions of/to the role being cut. Maybe, just maybe, the blocker will talk to a trusted player and hopefully we will be handed a day II lynch on a silver platter .... wishful thinking!- 175 replies

I did miss that ... this is an interesting twist which as you pointed out brings the question "Is it mandatory for scum to kill". We also know that there is no SK and that there are 5 scums, not 6 as it was stated yesterday: (Can't quote from locked topic) Posted 10 March 2013 - 11:42 PM SNIP There won't be a night zero, since there are fewer players, and the slaughter should be put off a day. The confirmation thread will go up before roles are assigned so that you can get into role-playing before you know which side you're on, and that the opening vignettes aren't affected by me knowing people's roles. Key balance issues to note before going in; because of there being only 21 players instead of the 26 before: -no SK (no third parties at all!) -the scum start a player down -the town starts three players down. There will be six scum-recruitable townies randomly spread throughout the town, including power roles (statistically speaking, only two PR or so are likely to be recruitable). Recruited power roles will definitely lose their action, so as not to overpower the scum. Any scum-recruitable townie inducted into the masons will no longer be scum-recruitable. SNIP (End of quote) That means that there are either 3 killers - 2 recruiters or 2 killers - 3 recruiters, the former being more likely. Danny's death brings the scum numbers to 4 ... which is pretty awesome if you ask me! Now, based on what Walter pointed out, I believe it is more likely for the scum to have been blocked (probabilities 3/22) than the Vig to have been blocked (probability 1/22). That's a relief!!! The likelyhood of the scum teams uniting is very little now that Trumpet turned town; I hope he managed to get a 'bite' on his ploy and that he was able to relay the information before the day ended! It is very odd that there was only one kill last night but let's face it; if the Vig is an experienced player (which is a fair assumption to make) he/she would likely not have killed on night one (unless absolutely sure of the target's scuminess based on, let's say, a day investigation result) . IMO the more plausible explanation is that the scum targetted the 'wrong' person and ended up killing a recruiter; it is however possible, but less likely, that Danny was Vig-killed.- 175 replies
