[MOC] "Micro Collection" Death Star Compactor
BaronSat replied to BaronSat's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks. One more Micro Collection fan, we should unite and ask Hasbro to resurrect that Kenner line in modern vintage boxes... Yes, I voluntarily forgot to put the orange foam, too ugly and I wanted to show the compactor interior. -

No, I live in Bordeaux, but it sounds things are the same or even worse in Paris? Are people jaded there? ... not all of them apparently . Thanks. -
[MOC] "Micro Collection" Death Star Compactor
BaronSat replied to BaronSat's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks. No these models are just on display in my home, but you must know that in the city where I live there are no shops (toyshop, game shop, comic shop) interested in displaying my models. Generally when I show some pics of my models to people from these shops, they just say : "Oh, yes, not bad". A reaction that is so different from the ones I got here or on others forums, that it's very funny. As for events, I have so far involved only small local exhibitions some times ago. Thanks. That's one of things I like in Lego bricks, building a toy with ... a toy. -
[MOC] "Micro Collection" Death Star Compactor
BaronSat replied to BaronSat's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks guys I'm pleased to see my work bring back some good memories and fun. The original toy is 30 years old but still going strong in my opinion. Coming very soon. Thanks. I get the idea from Mr ACPin. Don't know if he create the process or get the idea from some other builder (???) but it works fine here. So thanks Mr ACPin If you're reading this and buy Lego boxes regularly, that means you're still a kid... like all of us Thanks. Yes not all of us have tons of brick to build a complete Death Star so this Kenner's concept is very efficient in this case. Thanks. I'm sure builders at TLC would love too but they have to build models at affordable prices. Poor guys... Thanks. I was still playing... er I mean studying this toy only a few days ago Thanks. Very probably but Bespin will comes first. Thanks. I'm not surprised it's the first one you see as the Kenner Micro Collection is really vintage and not very popular back in the days. Now things are a bit different because the scale is the same than the one of the SW Miniatures game! -
Hello, Here's the second part of my Death Star inspired by the Kenner Micro Collection model: the Compactor. The first part, the Death Star Escape is here: BaronSat Death Star Escape As first time here's a link to see some pics of the original toys: Rebelscum Micro Compactor Now here are the pics for my model : Hope you like it.

Thanks. Yes, that would be cool but I doubt they will do something like that one day as the original model belongs to Hasbro (who ate Kenner years ago). So it's up to us to bring those old things to life with our Lego bricks. Thanks. It seems everybody love that big gun! Next time I'll forget the set and just build a huge gun, which sounds sweet as I'm a lazy guy Seriously this set was easy and fun to build but the Trash Compactor was a real b... well you see what I mean An open space with mutiples levels is a dollhouse (No Eliza Dushku here... too bad) but it works for all kind of models, from saloon to military base... fascinating as Spock would say That one is older (1977) but I love it too, the proof is here: Palitoy DS in Lego Thanks and I'm really pleased and surprised too but pleased that so many people remember this old toys. It seems great toys live forever.

Thanks guys, I'm pleased to see so many vintage SW toy's fans As many of you noticed, playability is something I care for because I still love figuring I can play with my models... in fact I don't build models I build toys.

And it's just the half of the "death Star world", there were 2 toys and of course I build the "detah star compactor" too. I'll publish photos of that second model soon. Maybe I have oversized the cannon, but it's cool. I was probably in some manhood mood :D What? Do you mean Batman wasn't in the movie?! yet, I was sure :D I should have put a link to the original toy, anyway here's one whith good pics. Link to Kenner toy.

Hello, My last MOC a Death Star the way of the Kenner Micro Collection. This model isn't a micro scale one, but inspired byt the "Micro Collection", a line of Kenner toys from the early 80's. Too bad this line wasn't very popular and had only a few models, the death Escape is one of them. As I'm a fan of vintage toys, I had to build this toy with Lego bricks. Enjoy

Thanks. No the eyes are photoshopped because I suck with light system

Hello, Here is a model that has remained in a box for a year before I finish and photography it. The head was the part I wasn't satisfied with, so this one is the last version but I can't say I'm really ok with it. Anyway one year was enough so here it is. As usually comments are welcome.

Hello, Some of you may have noticed that I published pics of my Mos Eisley modules on Flickr, now the diorama is complete so here's a photo with all the stuff. Comments are welcome. Enjoy!

Hello, Here's my entry for the contest: Maurice the space werewolf tow-landspeeder. Maurice lives on a desert planet and he's a bounty hunter... at last he tries, but half of the time he is a mechanic, so his landspeeder has to be a general purpose vehicle. Maurice modified his landspeeder by adding two big reactors so when he catch some prized prisoner, he can bring back his vehicle too! No big guns on this landspeeder but Maurice has a variety of tools for every case, including dynamite and a big monkey wrench to calm down the ones who resist. Here are the pics.

VOTING: Design a Direct-To-Consumer (D2C) set
BaronSat replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Not easy as many said. But in my opinion most of the entries are more MOC than possible products. So here are my votes: 13/ Attack on the Nile by Yatkuu - 4 points 14/ The Cairo Bazaar by Athos - 2 points 20/ The Walking Pyramid by Sandy - 1 point Anyway congrats to all competitors for doing such good models. -
Smooth as mirror, you can see the reflection of barrel and shovel on the right... damn', too much cleaning and lightning! You guess well, it's a 20 mm.

Hello, Here's my new german bunker model : the Flak Bunker. I alredy published these photos on Flickr but some people have drawn my attention to the fact that not everyone does spend his time on this site ... oops , so here they are. Enjoy.

I think it's a game to help kids in choosing a job in the future. When I grow up, I'll be : - an adventurer ? - a diver (or a steampunk maniac) ? - a skeleton ? Personally I choosed option 3 as I hate sand and deep waters! There maybe other answer to that clue but mine must be the more sane... ... hey, who said :"insane" ? ;)

Hey, hey, you're welcome. That has been a fun model to build and I'm pleased you like it Now let's see what other people think...

Hello Batman fans, here's my last model, it's something I wanted to build for a long time but never started. When I published the Wayne's library someone (It All Ends Here) wrote about a possible set for Poison Ivy. So I thought: "Hey, I have this old idea somewhere in my brain so why not?!". And here it is. I first previewed to build only the greenhouse part... .. but finally the sewer part didacted by itself! Well everybody love sewers And the fact that Batman is hunting Killer Croc just under the Poison Ivy's greenhouse is of course a coincidence. But if you have any idea on how such a thing can happen, don't hesitate to tell me

I hope it's correct if I post that here, if not mods, please tell me or move it. Ok, it took me a (little) time but the new bantha model is now on sale on my website. I also took time to think to what KimT asked and finally, you can buy the set or the instructions, as you want. Find all informations on my website.
-
Sorry but I don't have that in my collection but here's one pic with the dewback.
-
No problem KimT. Well as my customers prefers to have a complete model instead of having to look for spare parts, I will sale it or build or as a set.
-
Ok, it tooks me time to take that shot but Bantha and elephants are difficult to move... Anyway here is the comparison Now the Bantha looks small but I have always thought the Lego elephant was huge What do you think ?
-
Hey guys, Thanks for your nice comments and various observations. So it seems the size is ok and the shape please many people, thanks that helps. Now to answer some questions : Good idea I will make a shot with a Lego elephant to see. Yes, from various photos and sketches I used to create my model it's that long. No because as Brickdoctor said : Sorry KimT, but I will keep instructions secrets as I preview to put that model on sale in my shop soon...
-
Thanks guys. In fact I was afraid it's too small... hmm... I made a shot with the Lego Patrol Dewback for comparison, I will put it here later. In the meantime I hope for more opinions
