  1. I second this, partly because it would liven up this thread, and in other part because I believe there's overlap between Mario and Zelda fans. Same as Marvel for example. I sincerely hope potential Mario minifigures don't come out looking like that, the difference in head size isn't great. I do hope as well that some characters get complete specialized molds, like Toad for example.
  2. Wrong thread to ask but, might there also be something in store on the Zelda front?
  3. Not active on this thread but I had to note: The new BTS-hairpiece, with the middle part, would be perfect for the new Supergirl.
  4. Great that strikes this wave down to a whopping 2 new torso prints and 2 new leg prints!
  5. Exactly the point I made earlier. The value here seems awful, $35 for the Rocket set with barely 1 minifig? A huge spaceship set with basically 4 repeat figures? (Apart from the heads, which, 2 are bald even, hairpiece expense spared). If you really look at the wave face value, you'll notice that they've done only 4 new face prints, 3 new torso prints, and 3 new leg prints for this wave... everything else is re-use, not even a new mold.
  6. Honestly that is kinda what I hoped for... It would've been affordable as well. But I'll take whatever Zelda minifig based set I can get
  7. It's a bit odd that in 2014 I could get the Nova Corp ship, which arguably is the same size as Rocket's ship, with 3 minifigs instead of 1,5, and it would cost me half of this set... Inflation?
  8. Surely that doesn't have to be the case. We've seen our first Thanos bigfig way back in 2016, two years before Infinity War. The CMF might surprise us, the same way as the seasonal waves do. We might get a Kang mech in January 2024 or a polybag etc.
  9. Oooh good catches!! The fern pieces being included gives a lot of confidence to the set. Since it's a new piece I'd imagine Lego wants to include it in many sets this year. On the OoT image it really looks like BOTW Link is holding the Master Sword? I didn't notice both shields at first, awesome. Botw Link having dual molded legs would be amazing, I really hope they're regular legs and not mid-legs, those really wouldn't look right on Link and Zelda (BOTW).
  10. I think I'd display it with Botw's version as well. But I'd probably also bricklink several more Links for dioramas with a guardian, Lynel etc. Most of all I'm curious how they'll design Link. The new hair sculpt, the face print... Really makes me anxious but I feel like Lego can make it work, they've been spot on with hairsculpts these past years.
  11. This has got to be one of the worst years yet for Lego Marvel. This summer is stacked with buildable figures and weird way too expensive display pieces. Well yeah that is part of the HP sets But I also just mean the amount of attention and detail to their sets and even niche characters. You can't convince me that "nicher" Marvel characters (I'm referring to Moon Knight, She-Hulk, Ms Marvel etc. Not the mainstream Avengers) don't deserve the same amount of care and attention as, *checks notes*, 'Hannah Abott' and 'Florean Fortescue'. Heck I watched the films and I don't even know who those characters are... I don't know how many buildable figures and venoms I can take before I completely lose interest in the whole theme.
  12. Man, when will Marvel start getting the Harry Potter treatment...
  13. Wouldn't the X-men'97 cartoon be the most logical as well? That's catering to children too right, or is it gonna be an animated show with an older demographic? If the leaked X-mansion is a tie-in set for '97, then that'd be whack. We're defenitely missing Gambit, Jubilee and Magneto in that case.
  14. It's gonna be really rough if the Deku tree doesn't release this year. What a tease that would be for a franchise that's already been teased to death.
  15. And they could re-purpose that for the blue boko's and boko leaders (the big ones from the trailer). Man I'd love to see Ganon in minifigure form as well, since he's pretty tall I wonder how they'd tackle him.
  16. Ohh that's a very good point. The new game seems to encourage building and creating in-game, like the cart and hovercraft. I'd love to see if Lego will acknowledge this. Also, the new golem-like creatures, the geometric ones, are right up Lego's alley, come on.
  17. I agree I believe they'll do that too. I also pondered if maybe they'll have this direct at the end of April, reveal gameplay of the game (which around that time would be less than a month away) and reveal the Deku tree set for June 1st (which would be closer to that release date as well).
  18. Is Gandalf's hairpiece new? It isn't the same as Gloin and Gimli's... Also, still baffled, how are those mushrooms attached to that tree next to the gazebo???? Isn't that an illegal technique?
  19. How are the mushroom pieces attached to that tree??
  20. I still really hope it's revealed in todays direct! And I genuinely also hope it's released this year. I mean, looking at the game releasing this year, what reason would they have to release it any later than May / June?
  21. Man I genuinely don't like that speculation has come to this... Seeing if an image is actually computer generated or not, using something as dangerous as AI for "fun". Having said that, this image does look tempered with, but not generated, in my opinion.
  22. Hmmm I see. At the same time I'm a bit worried. Wouldn't the more "reliable" leakers be able to confirm sets from this spring / summer by now? I mean they're already confirming sets for this fall?
  23. I've never watched any of these movies but these sets make me want to. I think they look cool and adventurous, brings me back to Orient Expedition...
  24. That's what I'm afraid of as well. I see the casual Zelda fan picking up a Zelda set akin to the tallneck - say for example a Guardian set - much quicker than a +$200 investment. I agree with this. You need only to look at the amount of Lego Ideas submissions to see the populairity and demand of anything from the franchise. Other sets have release windows? I think we can only speculate for now based on the set seeming a bit further along the production phase than some of the other leaked sets. (new molds used, the set looking actually producable etc). If they time it right, a summer release would be perfect to coincide with Tears of the Kingdom.
  25. To me it seems like a 'testing the waters' kind of set. I feel like if this sells well (which I'm pretty confident it will), they'll be open to more Zelda sets. Having said that I don't really expect a full wave of Zelda sets either for now.
