  1. WTF 10,000 1x1 round plates. I am a huge Mars Mission Fan and I really like the whole setup. But what does that vehicle on the left do?
  2. I don not see how they add much play-value. Using them with clumsy kid-fingers seems to be quite hard(It is for my clumsy adult-fingers). Then you only have one stud that will not go where you aimed and after shooting you have to get it from under the couch. I remember that when I was younger I never really liked vehicles that only had rockets and no guns out of that reason.
  3. I think this is the best of the islanders sets. It just looks like I would imagine an islanders catamaran. Of course the colours could be different, and there could be a bit more details, but for the time it came out it is really good.
  4. Would come with either a Tri-Droid, which i would like, or with an UT-AT, which I dislke, since I saw how superior the original concept was. I could Imagine this two sets: Seperatist Tri Droid(60€) -Ki-Adi-Mundi and his Galactic Marines are ready to fight the terrifying Tri-Droid. -Let the Droid march into the battle with his three adjustable legs and fire his spring loaded launchers. -Contains Ki-Adi-Mundi, 2 Galactic Marines, 2 B1-Battledroids and 2 B2-Superbattledroids. -Tri-Droids stands over 30cm high and spans near 40cm Republic UT-AT(130€) -The mighty UT-AT hovers over the battlefields to support Ki-Adi-Mundi and his Galactic Marines in their fight against the seperatist droids. -Pose the UT-AT's heavy cannons and fire the spring loaded launchers or use it's anti-droid weapons against flanking enemies. -Contains Ki-Adi-Mundi, 3 Galactic Marines, a Battledroid-Commander, 2 B1-Battledroids and 4 B2-Superbattledroids. -UT-AT is over 50cm long and measures over 15cm in height.
  5. I think, 2015 was better than 2009. Yes, the sets were smaller but they are much more detailed and look better.(Except for the Soldiers' Fort, those were bad in both waves.) But i think Pirates has two problems: -To cartoonish. While Lego pirates were always not to serious, the last two waves had the quality of cereal-pirates. -The difference in size between the pirate-ship and the other sets ist to big. There is just no conflict between half a meter of ship with three cannons per side and those one room fortresses. In the past those were bigger, while there also were smaller ships and many couldn't even afford the biggest ships like the Black Seas Barracuda. I think a good new way would be to make fantasy pirates, similliar to PotC or if you know it Risen2. Basically still very cliché pirates but with character, bits of magic, creatures and mysteries
  6. Instead of a bigger build I would like more minifigs. That would eleminate the problem of having too many 'special' figures, while they still could be in the Battle Packs.
  7. Don't think heads with stickers are a good idea. Seriously needs to be done, only because TCW is over does not mean there should not be any new sets. A really big MTT is long overdue. But it should contain a lot of droids. Maybe even be UCS-sized
  8. Nope, not minifig-scale. But definitley impressive.
  9. In my opinion the 2008 one is better than the 2013. While the new one has more "details" the old one looks closer to the real model. The 2013 is just to stubby and almost looks round. On the original topic, the worst set after 2008 is probably the MHC. It doesn't look at all like it should and the minifigs are horrible, except for the older Ashoka.
  10. Actually this looks better than the one, the old EU had.
  11. It seems to be more a problem with the OT Battle Packs. All recent Clone Battlepacks had a build that was actually quite close to some things in the films, like the really good ISP for the Kashyyyk-Troopers.
  12. Isn't that what happened with the last MTT and AAT? As far as i know it wasn't received very good after its predecessor was much bigger and more detailed, but of course more expensive.
  13. I remember being kind of creeped out by those masks as a kid. You complain about loosing a single part of a 20 year old set? I wish my parts woul still look that good. Islanders in general really aged well and the sets still look good.(But they probably aren't that politically correct)
  14. At least here in Germany helmets have to be glow-in-the-dark. While old helmets are usually white, new ones are bright yellow. I never have seen the form of helmets Lego uses. But fire definitley needs updated accessoires. The axes don't look like fire-axes at all and other than those there are basically only radios and extinguishers.
  15. The Printed one. The marbled one is too dark and looks brown were the two colors meet, while the plain one is just boring.
  16. Actually there was the big medival village, and the Ninjago-village too, that would qualify for big-out-of-the-order-sets. I don't know if a new imperial flagship could be a thing so soon, but I would definitley buy it even it probably, considering that I did not have the money when the last one came out and today it is f***** expensive.
  17. Thats the problem with the last Waves of Pirates. You could actually feel, that they weren't designed with love. The small sets were neat, but the bigger sets still small and quite boring.
  18. I don't even know the yellow pieces, that are the holding the rubber bands and they do not seem to be connected to anything else. xDBut I dont think they belong to a shooting mechanism, since those two shooters just need a 'button' on the top of the ship to use them.
  19. I am quite disappointed by the Clone Turbo Tank. At first i was really excited about hearing, that there will be one this year, since I missed the last one. Then I saw that Brickset already set the price to 120€. Okay I thought it is about the same size as the last one.(I hoped for a bigger one with more details, althought I know it never will be full size :)). After seeing the pictures I don't think I will buy it. It is to small, especially for the price, while it doesn't look that accurate and the minifigures aren't that good either. Commander Gree, a figure which I already have in the same version from the AT-AP(I am still wondering how Lego decides in how many sets each minifig comes.)Two B1 Battledroids and only one Clonetrooper isn't enough either. The Jedi are actually quite nice, but not so good that they justify that there are only as many minifigs in this set as in the AT-AP for half the price.
  20. While I definitley want a 501st Battlepack, I think, that Lego should remake the PhaseII helmets again, so they can be equiped with antennas or visors. Then would be a good time to also give as a new Cody and a Episode III At-TE.
  21. Maybe it is about the story before Power Miners.
  22. Volcano research? I can't imagine how the will do a complete wave of sets for that.
  23. What are kids supposed to do with a line of sets composed of three "Fireladders" plus a Firestation with one? A bit uncreative don't you think? But on the other hand I like, that they at least tryed making an utility-truck.
  24. Some of my ideas: UT-AT(120-160€) An Unstable Terrain Artillery Transport like you see them in the scences of Ki Adi Mundi's murder in ROTS. Figures would be obviously the Jedi and two to three Galactic Marines and some droids. Maybe add a crab-droid. Seperatist AAT(30€) Blue AAT, larger than the last one but not the size of the TCW one. Battle of Kashyyyk:(30€) One of those Wookiee flyers, with two wookies, a dwarf spider droid with four B1 Battledroids and one Kashyyyk-Clone. ITT(60€) The Imperial Troop Transport from Rebels, two Stromtroopers, one Scout with Speeder, Ezra and Tseebo.
  25. You answered the question yourself. Colors and ideas doesn't sell, especially in a time were Lego sets tried to be somehow "badass" and cool.
