Seems to be a nice set if you need flick-fire-missiles. -

Late Are you sure retailers actually saw the new sets already. Because I can't imaginge that none of them talked what they saw, which eventually would find its way into the internet. -

If I were TLC I would put it at the conventiant 99.99 spot so it doesn't brake the 100 mark. And at about 800 pieces like the 2013 one this will leave a good PPP for them. -

Thats no real AT-TE... BTW, if you want to count it in it had the same PPP as the 2013 one. -

Don't forget all those back-ground Aliens that got a new mold for a single set. And a Phase II Cody is really long overdue. -

Amazon is good here, constantly having 20% or more discounted on most sets. But i basically never see discounts that high in shops here in Munich. Sometimes you get some sets for 15% less or so but you have to be lucky to get the sets you want cheaper. -

That we basically didn't know anything about it, except that it's a small wave and that already includes two buildable helmets and a buildable droid. -

I am with you. D-0 was a minor character that misses the cuteness of the porgs and the constant appearance in every single trailer. I don't know what to think of the helmets. -

And I think that is exactly the problem with the BP lately. The Mandalorian Battle Pack might have nice figures, but what are kids supposed to do with them? There are no larger vehicles to man with those figures nor are there some enemies to fight against. And there were many of those sets, in an empty room without the counterpart or even better a set they complement with. -
Don't forget that minifigs are very fat, but when designing something at scale for them their height is the important thing.
-
For army-builders this would be quite useless, since it would be too random.
-
You are completley right.
-
I had a similiar thought process. A TIE-Bomber won't be any better on a UCS-scale than as a playset. I hope that the Gunship would be minifig-scale but with a better design and less play-features like swoosh-handles or openable post-boxes.
-
Voted for the Gunship, but in my eyes both the gunship and the Bomber really deserve a minifig-scale set.
-
BTW, Is there a reason why we had a single real Battle-Dorid Battlepack so far? (excluding those two mixed ones that had Droidekas and Commandos) If not I would really like to see one again.
-
If a large set for the Arena would be to risky, why noit break it up into multiple smaller sets. Ackley-Attack, Geonosis Cannon and something like Geonosis tribune, a small set considering of the gate and a bit of space for Dokuu and the Seperatists. Each containing a single pillar and either Padme, Obi Wan or Anakin.
-
Since you set this set at 30 pounds, do you want it to be more than two speeder bikes?
-
I would like to see a Purge Trooper Battle Pack. Could contain two Pruge-Troopers, a glow-stick scout and a normal Stormtrooper.
-
Interesting enough the designs where actually quite good in my eyes (Ok, the large soldiers fort wasn't). The problem I have with the 2015 line was the size of the sets. If I remember correctly the second largest and largest imperial set of the line (the fort) was only at 30€.
-
Still don't know how someone could think, that 100€ for a X-Wing where appropriate, esepcially for one that wasn't even that good. Generally I think that those fighters like TIE and Vulture Droids, that are actually quite small compared to other fighters, should come at smaller sizes again. This could actually make it possible for combination-sets like V-Wing vs. Vulture Droid or A-Wing vs. TIE-Interceptor again.

I know that the AT-ST has tow weapon on the side of it's head. But I don't like how they are created in Lego. The Blasters are way to big and fat while the grenade-launcher doesn't look anything like the one you see in the movie. -

Could have given him at least a carbine. But I think the main problem is it's missing stock. But I don't like that AT-ST anyways. Besides being an ugly coloured remake it still (or better because of it ) is oversized and has the same weird weapons on the side of it's head as the Rogue One one had. -
Why Power Miners is better than Rock Raiders
mon-o-mat replied to Zarkan's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Of course most AFOLs will reject new themes. Besides nostalgia it simply means that they can't add new sets to their collection, the new minifigures won't go with the old ones and most of the times the different colours mean, that the new sets won't be good part-donators. -
Why Power Miners is better than Rock Raiders
mon-o-mat replied to Zarkan's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
To be fair, the backstory of RockRaiders was somehow better than the PowerMiners one. Not that the overall concept of this kinda "The Day Earth Stood Still" vibe was bad, but for one point, I never got if it was the chrystals that created the earthquakes or the monsters. And what was the end goal? Total genocide of rockmonsters? Collecting chrystals? Eventually they got to lava-level, but why and what did they do there?
