I've got no doubt that they're printed on genuine pieces. I could post pics of my Batman Beyond by Christo and they'd all have official Lego stamps as they're on genuine Lego.

Are you really saying you think it's legit? I must admit... I think this is supposedy from he same source that 'leaked' the Joker Nurse: The Joker torso is so badly drawn it looks like it was coloured in by my nan.... and she died in 1989. The grey shadows are heavy and misprinted and the purple area under the coat isn't completely filled in. For a company that holds the artwork, and just needs to recolour something existing, if they're pad printing even 10 of those figs they'd be quicker amending the existing 'perfect' artwork than getting someone to draw it freehand. I'm sure they have multiple colour pad printing presses too so they should never be THAT far out of register in printing. Something definitely not right about it. In fact the more I look at the cutting form of those wings and how the print is cut off on the keyline of the wings etc the more I'm sure that it's not real. It's just a very poor job regardless of whether someone at the 'factory' leaked it. If it's some from the factory then there's a fella drawing stuff with his non dominant hand and his tongue sticking out the side of his mouth chuckling to himself that some people will think these are real before printing them out with '© 2015 Lego Group' on them just to make sure people are definitely convinced even though he's gone over every line in his Crayola Lego Batman wings colouring template.

I must admit that even though people are saying the parts are printed with Lego such as the dark blue cowl there's something that still doesn't sit right with me. The open wings shape is just the hard plastic one we've always had and the closed wings just seems like a poorly drawn version of the Space Batman wings. Lego has the cutting form ready to print those wings so why create a new sharp one that's so close? The print is also odd... the Hackman and Space Batman wings were a perfectly flat colours with detailing print added whereas these have moulding and highlights in places that just seem badly done for an official release. If I was putting out a fake set of wings then I'd know to emulate the existing released wings and put the ©Lego detailing on it to make it look legit. Both Bricks were convinced their source was legit for the Joker Nurse figure as well as this one but I'm just not feeling it. I think the Joker Nurse figure was badly drawn and I just don't believe Lego would rehash the old design like that in red... especially when it's so far from a design they already have for Batman Beyond. The grey and blue version just looks like the old one with a recent head stuck on it... having the coloured wings exactly the same in blue also looks odd to me as it has all the poorly drawn design features of it's black counterpart. I'm sure time will tell whether it's the released version... If so I'll hold my hands up and admit I was wrong. But if it's not then I'll definitely believe someone was trying to pull the wool over people's eyes. Would it be too far to believe that someone who may be in the Lego factory that is willing to leak prelim figures like this wouldn't just grab some artwork plates and print up some duff stuff to make a profit or start a rumour? Maybe not... but selling them on in the first place doesn't show a great deal of honesty to begin with. Since it started putting out crap like this. Factories don't make fakes. People who work at factories that are happy to steal stuff and sell it might happily make fakes.

Got your polybag! I'll get it shipped out either over the weekend or on Monday.

I actually think it's more photoshop work over stickers but there's a shadow around the bat symbol and the belt that's just too uniform to be anything other than a photoshop retouch. The shadow shouldn't even be there. Besides that it's quite nicely done though.

Didn't get a chance to go in yesterday. I'm picking my daughter up after work later so I'll pop into a different TRU on the way. It says they're in stock there also so fingers crossed.

I'll give my opinion on why I had a 'dark age' with toys then got back into it. Lego was never my main love toy-wise as a child... That was Star Wars (I was born in 1973)... But I had some and like it. I was obsessed with Star Wars figures and getting any ships that I could but I was basically treated to one figure per month / 2 months and then a bit more round birthdays or Christmas. I remember my dad buying a black bin bag full of stuff for £5 in around 1981 from someone at work whose son had stopped playing with SW. Once I'd got to 14 or so I had an interest in music and started going to concerts and by 16 had a much fuller social life that involved girls so 'playing with toys' was something I had no time for... I wanted to buy records! After university and then early employment a colleague who was much younger than me bought the first Snowspeeder set and built it in the office... Fortunately the three of us who worked as designers all loved SW and so I was introduced back into Lego and the idea of having some SW stuff that was something more than just a figure... The build was the interesting part. Fast forward a few more years and I was visiting my parents when the young child next door had a pirate ship smashed up by cousins so they brought it in and I put it back together mainly from the box and loved it. Then I had my daughter... Through my wife's pregnancy I'd thought 'if it's a boy I'll get that massive Lego Falcon' and build it with him... But we had a girl and I never bought 10179... I bought the X-Wing set and was hooked. 7965 Falcon followed... Then 8097 Slave 1... Then TIE fighter.... All OT based. I got to get all the ships I owned / wanted as a child and build them. I then had an aim to get Lego versions of all the original Kenner figs. (We're close but there's a few they need to do). My wife hates Lego (she hates it being everywhere as outhouse is quite small) but knows it's part of me. I have the odd Black Series 6" figure and I collect trade paperback comics for Batman and Hellboy. I'm old enough to not give a toss about peer pressure anymore and my friends might not share these interests but also know it's part of me. I think for some people there's an age point where that kind of confidence is harder to have. As others have said, the Internet is also a big difference in people's lifestyle now. Even when I was at Uni there was no internet. My link with Star Wars and Lego as a kid were catalogues around Christmas as well as the toy floor of large department stores and I certainly didn't know about a Club to meet up and discuss things with likeminded people. People will always go through waves of interest in things... Sometimes people will come back.. Sometimes they won't. Other things in life take priority and there needs to be an investment of time and money in Lego. It's whether people are able to find time for that investment with everything else that will vring them back or keep them in the hobby. That was a far longer post than I imagined it would be.

No problem. I'll let you know if they're in stock as they say!

I've just looked at the UK TRU site and it says they're available in store at my local one for £4.99. I'll pop in tomorrow to pick one up if you'd like and send it down to Oz. Shame you didn't post this earlier as I've got friends visiting the UK from Oz and they're flying back to Brisbane today!

I'd say the Ideas link on the TRU website is a mistake. Until there's any kind of official confirmation of this then I think people are just getting confused with the fact the original Ideas submission for ECTO-1 had the station pictured with it and that there was an Ideas submission for an almost identical looking station which reached 10k votes. Until Ideas say it's one of theirs then it isn't... as soon as they do then it is. -

So it's a three storey firehouse on a 48x32 baseplate footprint with twice the brick count of the Fire Station Modular with 9 minifigures and three extra ghosts one of which is Slimer on top of that it's a licensed set and it's exactly the same size as the much lauded Swiss GB HQ... but it looks like it's £80 worth of set? -

Well I'm going with the opinion that it looks fantastic. I'm not sure about the need for more detail when it looks exactly as it should. There definitely appears to be two upper floors and that high res image gives the impression that the floors are lifted off rather than hinged although I could be viewing that wrong. All the figures look fantastic and Louis and Dana look great as well as the zombie cab driver and library ghost. Glad we got Slimer in there too but with Venkman being slimed he had to be! The high res image definitely makes it look bigger than it does in that released photo anyway! -
There are some excellent pad printed Batman customs on genuine Lego, two of which cover Arkham City and Arkham Origins. In fact you can still just buy the torso for the Arkham Origins version. I'm not convinced the New 52 version we currently have looks too much like it. I must admit I'm with everyone above who is happy to keep getting new Batman variants, as long as they're relevant and relate to something that has a source.

Bootleg Super Heroes minifigs - worth it or not?
Robianco replied to KingPixels's topic in Community
Some of Pogo's prints look like they really need a white base coat to help brighten things up... they're also a little rough but to be honest that Red Robin head looks quite good for a custom and I think that Gambit would be a better bet than Dargo. Black Mask actually looks decent as he is. I'm thinking that I might switch the arms out on that DLP Arkham Knight Batman for light bley and get some black vambraces for it. I think that would actually balance things out with the thick shoulders even though I'd miss out on the print detail. -

Bootleg Super Heroes minifigs - worth it or not?
Robianco replied to KingPixels's topic in Community
I might be interested as I have one of each of the pad printed Batman variants available from customisers. I'd need to know how close this was to going into production though and if so how far off it was. I'll need to compare the designs of each one... I understand what you mean regarding the design being simpler and therefore closer to Lego's design principles. -
Glad to see the wheels rotate too! ;)

Does that mean there's a cheap Resistance pilot to go with that? ;)

Bootleg Super Heroes minifigs - worth it or not?
Robianco replied to KingPixels's topic in Community
So to get the Dark Defender with the torso the same colour as the arms and legs you have to go for a level 2 purchase which is $50? While the printing might be good with some metallic silver highlights I'd have to see how good the DLP version is. Neither are licensed so DC aren't gaining from either of them. ...and if you do want dark bley then you HAVE to get a pre-sale version as that's exclusive? -

I'm guessing that he's referring to the actual movie appearance rather than the Lego counterparts. -
I think it's only a matter of time before we get that new Ahsoka figure and I think the Inquisitor was popular so I can see them making those too. They'll be the new focus with regards to 'baddies' in S2 along with hopefully a Tarkin figure. I don't see Kallus changing his appearance at all so they'll need to freshen the fig line up a bit if they continue to produce sets based on it.
-
They're always going to make a Batman figure in a Batman v Superman set and hopefully the dual moulded legs will become the norm. I quite like the design and fits well with what I've seen of the BvS material so far. The red and black version shown above is indeed a bootleg... and a pretty poor one at that. I'm guessing a very poor attempt at a Batman Beyond design.

Thanks for the link! -
I normally find that inanimate plastic objects find flight difficult. You could always throw it but I think they find landing safely quite tricky too.

I know this seller has connections with a few customisers too and resells on BL as well as eBay. It's one of the few stores I know stocks custom minifigs on the site. I've not had a chance to reply to him yet but when I put the order in I'll enquire about the origins and see if anything happens. I do know that this seller stocks a minifig from someone who was previously going to put out a Batman Beyond fig although they had the figure design very accurate to the LB3 image I linked to earlier. I'm not saying that's where I think it's from but there is a connection however arbitrary. I'm also a Batman fan so a good pad printed figure is worth it as £15 is actually quite reasonable when including shipping for a custom.
