  1. Getting silver and gold arms might not be that bad... at least for a short while.
  2. This would probably be better in the Customisation Forum. Amazon is probably a good place to start for both sticker paper and clear decal paper. A regular home printer will be inkjet though and might need a coat of something to seal it in case it gets wet.
  3. I made this Jim Gordon with Filch's crumpled suit and a trench coat from eBay. Admittedly in the comics he does tend to have grey hair but it worked well for me.
  4. The hair is switched out for genuine Lego and yes, Lightning Lad is a genuine figure.
  5. Saturn Girl with her fellow Legion of Superheroes
  6. With the A-Wing Pilot being available in the UK I'm really hoping the FO General makes an appearance like that so I'm definitely interested to find out how true. They are listed on the site available at £4.99 each or free with spend of £15 on SW Lego but it's only available in store and when you check stock it's listed as 'out of stock' everywhere. I just called my nearest TRU and they're not sure if they'll come in with a delivery tomorrow but they're not aware of any specific promotion for it.
  7. Yeah... I've thought for a while that some of the early release figures people get hold of can be things that have failed QC and been 'liberated' from the factory.
  8. On the individual pages on both the UK and US site there's no mention of them retiring but the listing pages for the Exclusive and Hard to Find items does seem different depending on the region. UK has them as Retiring Soon whereas the US just lists them as Hard to Find. Australia has them as Retiring Soon also while Canada lists them as Hard to Find. Mainland Europe specific regions also have it as Retiring Soon. Maybe North America has a few more in stock but I'd guess the retirement date would be pretty well aligned?
  9. There's a close up of Riddler here: This is from a Flickr user who picked it up off eBay. For some reason the print doesn't look that great on this one close up.
  10. I think we've had things made pretty clear by Peppermint_M that we're allowed to carry on talking about and linking to any new figures that are being produced even if it's only one figure out of a set of 8. And to be honest that's about as fair as anybody could have hoped. I've always been interested in getting the best quality version of a figure I can... and if it's a Lego figure then that's probably the best quality version there is. If it isn't and somebody hasn't pad printed it then a bootleg can achieve that. Christo's Arrow figure was superb but Decool went and printed the arms in fantastic detail which Christo didn't. I don't think people need to tread as carefully as they're making out. Just post stuff of interest. If Lego hasn't made it then it's fine. If it's a clone of a particular customiser then it's still fine. The Batman and Superman wave with the Arkham Batman I picked up are here. Even for just the arms I think it's worth 71p for that figure. (The other SLP Arkhamfigure that he body and legs are from on my image are here from the same seller... I think this body and the new arms make an incredibly detailed figure). I also think the Flashpoint Batman is a pretty good figure and the stubbled head is also very well printed. For the New 52 Superman It's not as good as Phoenix Customs' but looking at it again it's actually pretty good in it's own right. Switch the head out for genuine Lego and it'll look great on display next to any other Superman figure. Legs are blue print on red legs and they'd got a really good coverage on that. Black line detailing is sharp too. Seeing as the Phoenix version is sold out then this would probably be worth picking up until he considers a reprint.
  11. The arms are from the recent DLP wave of Batman and Superman figures... but I'm sure you knew that. The rest of the Arkham Batman is from DLP9012. That set has a Batman Beyond in it which is almost identical to Christo's version as well as a fantastic Green Lantern Batman. I picked mine up from Minifigures Wholesale and they seem to still sell them.
  12. Based on the general cycle of sets then there's a chance. The last system scale OT X-Wing was on the shelf the same time as the Red Five UCS X-Wing. There was probably a system scale Falcon on the shelf at the same time as 10179. Having a TFA system scale Falcon released last year won't be the reason a new UCS Falcon wouldn't appear. Wihout any kind of rumour or knowledge to suggest one is on the way would just leave mention of a Falcon to guesswork and wishlisting.
  13. I'd say yes. It's not released as a physical item and I don't think the mods are as keen to shut it down as much as people think. There are plenty of customisers who work from game designs and it's always been fine to discuss those. If it gets to that point then a mod will remove it and we'll know where we stand.
  14. In a word, Yes. Buy it now while you have the chance.
  15. I've been viewing the site through my phone for the last 10 mins or so and I noticed the stats in replies and views of each thread. The old bootleg minifigs thread had over 1.2M views in the 30 months it was around. When you look at the specific rumours threads in something like Star Wars the 2016 Rumours thread had around 2.4M views and that's with the hype of inbound TFA releases etc. The general Star Wars Questions thread at 6 years old has 470,000 views. Considering the last thread was just a general discussion thread that's pretty good going and shows how much it was read. Hopefully we can keep this thread on track without cloned Lego product and make it a decent resource for alternative figure and product discussion.
  16. They actually did the same thing with the dark tan officers cap with the eagle emblem on it. I saw it on a MOC and it looked great but it's never resurfaced or been rereleased. I wouldn't hold out much hope. I've always tried to find them on resellers but without any luck.
  17. It can only be one of the two options. I'm assuming Mooste did actually mean the MC80 Home One when referring to it as the Nebulon frigate. I'd always thought that it wouldn't be Yavin because Lego like to have conflict possibilities in sets like this and it wouldn't make sense to have Imperials there but even a Home One hangar wouldn't have Imperials (the last one didn't either). If it's listed at BrickSet as a ROTJ set then that's the closest thing we have to a rumour as opposed to a guess. Lego also have a habit of including figures in sets that were missed out of other sets so this would be a good way of including Nien Nunb as he was omitted from the TFA wave and the same design would work for both EPI VI and VII.
  18. Wrong year or not thanks for the info. I'll get a couple of those then. Just the FO General poly to pick up after that!
  19. Ha. I see what you mean. I have a watch that can keep powered for many many hours even on the slightest bit of daylight though... and in the UK we're not always blessed with blue skies. I'm sure a ship that can be involved in various dogfights in deep space when also powered by solar panels on the wings can regulate it's power enough on a planet's surface to get it through the odd mission.
  20. Arrived today. The arms from the new Arkham Batman work perfectly on the older DLP Arkham Batman figure. Great figure now.
  21. I love the fact the TIE is a round flying spacecraft that fires lasers and has pointy wings but we worry about practical stuff like night flight safety. I could hazard a guess that the viewport would have some enhanced nightvision enabled to give the pilot a clear view of the flight path as well as having various scanners and detectors.
  22. With this being a kids toy I think it'll be a printed but full minifigure much in the vein of the last version.
  23. I seem to remember those being absolutely awful. As SY were getting better and better and the quality was going up these came along to show us just how crap bootlegs could be. I actually just gave away a set of red, grey, green and yellow bigfig Hulks. The Batman from JBL was gold wasn't it? Bloody terrible. In other news Saturn Girl arrived today... well three of them anyway. Slipped parts from all three into one perfect one (another one is pretty good and one of them has a couple of defects). Just need the yellow hairpiece as the colour supplied is almost olive green. If Lego don't make her for some reason then I'll be quite happy wth this one.
  24. You could always contact a digital UV printer to get a cost for doing this. There was a custom minifig seller on eBay who used to offer 5 torsos or heads printed for $25 I think. Not sure if they still do it
  25. Are we sure they're not both bright light orange? I can't imagine KO Customs has a new one moulded or painted up I would just imagine they matched the colours but with it being printed with blue instead of brown it looks lighter.
