  1. Ha... Whoops... I'd only just stripped a Gandalf figure for parts and realised I'd not actually seen much of the torso due to his beard and it was in my head when I saw that pic and I'd have sworn it was the same... which it obviously isn't! Ninja's it is!!
  2. Welcome to the thread!
  3. And did you see how much it was? $15HK... Around £1.20... Nice if you can get them that price! He also gets discounts due to the amount he buys!
  4. That's not a bad shout! At least it seems unique even if it's an unnamed pilot. We've not done too badly on the unique helmet front to be honest... especially considering Lego isn't an action figure brand. I'll always be hopeful of the remaining helmets though. I still can't believe we haven't had a Red Leader in any of the X-Wing sets we've had or Janson with any of the Snowspeeders as they've been plentiful but it's still nothing to complain about.
  5. These sets looks great... One thing of interest to me (and I know it's a small thing) but the off chance that the T-16 Pilot's helmet carries the insignia of the blast helmet Luke uses (that I mentioned in a previous post). I know they're prelims and they use any helmet as a stand in but there does seem to be a design on each side of the helmet. If by some stroke of luck they did put that in we'd just be missing two Rebel Hero helmets for the OT. I really like the ITT and that AT-AT might just be the cutest Microfighters set we'll see! I hope Ventress is done in regular style and doesn't have the pupil style eyes... I'd be tempted to pick that up if so... I think she's a great character. Anyone with even the slightest hint of Anti-hero about them is OK with me. I like the Microfighters snow speeder and fingers crossed it's Janson. AT-DP looks really nice too... interested to see how those figures turn out in the end but the model itself looks really nicely done. Dark Troopers is a must... I laughed when I saw they had Gandalf's torso... must be hundreds of those lying round (even though it's CGI)! I liked the dark grey/light grey design on the helmets. My pick up of the Rebels sets is pretty much based on how much I like the show and whether the characters resonate at all...
  6. Wes Janson's helmet was actually on a pilot that was killed in the Death Star trench run in ANH although it was meant to be Red Ten (but clearly wasn't) so he's kind of been assigned Red Twelve by the online community. If it is Janson then we're actually only really missing Red Leader (Garven Dreis) and Red Four (John D Branon) in Lego form. The helmets for Biggs and Wedge were originally pretty good anyway and the Skywalker/Porkins//Nett/Plain Blue Rebel Logo helmets make up the rest of Red Squadron in ANH. The blast helmet used by Luke in training on the Falcon (which was a plain one in 7965) was actually used by a female pilot in the Death Star attack in ROTJ... but seeing as it's not got the insignia on it we can't really make her.
  7. The bigfig thing was by Decool... I think the only bigfig SY have done is their Hulk with the moveable head and hair
  8. One of the guys in the Flickr community has posted pics of his Decool Hulkbuster and I must say it looks better than I thought it would... hopefully this means the Venom figure is close!
  9. I think mine's the same although the trench coat wasn't as flimsy as previous versions. The Taskmaster cape still has the slight yellowing round the edges from the burn mark from cutting the cape though.
  10. Well if you put the 4842 and 4867 extension together you've got a pretty decent size Hogwarts. MOC up a little Greenhouse for Professor Sprout and you're pretty much there.
  11. I've got Bozhi and Decool Deadpool figures along with the genuine TLG one. I don't think Sheng Yuan have produced a Deadpool have they? The Bozhi version is only in their clone of the Chopper Showdown set.
  12. I always forget about the standard Apple apps for these things! :)
  13. I've got an old version of Aimersoft Video Convertor that you can tweak for file size and I use it to shrink HD animations before sending them to clients... does a great job. I've also used Handbrake to shrink files down. Mac The Ripper used to be the go-to application for shrinking DVDs down to fit onto standard 4.4GB discs so maybe take a look at that. If you have trouble getting it I'll see if I've still got a copy to send you.
  14. The next modular build has been revealed to be a detective agency
  15. That's what I mean... If CG comes out and says it's January and he has a source then I'll believe him... I'm just not sure whether people have read into something that isn't there. A rumour of a January set crossed with a confirmation of a UCS set with no release date and all of a sudden things can get very muddled between sourced information and conjecture. I think it's just a matter of patience and the release date of Slave 1 will be confirmed and we'll then get wind of any early 2015 UCS set if there actually is one.
  16. There's no reason not to believe Cavegod on that date but having read the thread I'm not sure if I've missed something? He made the comment with question marks which gives me the impression that he read it somewhere... maybe along with the price? I didn't read it that CG was giving the January date as a statement of fact. He's a member here too so wouldn't he have commented on this thread about the January date too if he knew the date as definitive?
  17. Mine should arrive this week so I'll let you know!
  18. Ha... my comment was about my wife being freaked out by anything with 666 related to it! ;) Although this is my 667th... so the number will be gone from below my name now...
  19. I'm not sure but the sets that were released almost a year ago are still floating round... I think they're produced in such large quantities there's plenty of them left! You should be fine for the Punisher set for a good 6 months if not more! And this is my 666th post... :)
  20. I agree... I didn't notice it at first but that snot work with the curved piece works so well... everything about that working area is really nicely done!
  21. I really like this... I think the scale is actually pretty good to sit alongside the bunker. If I ever get a room to display all my stuff then I'd like something like this to expand the 8038 set into the Ewok Village.
  22. I'm going to hedge my bets around £179 for this one... The Tumbler is huge and is £159... Ewok Village is pretty big and contains all those figures for £199. I'm just glad I was able to pick up the Sandcrawler along with the summer wave early in the UK so things are a little clearer for me on this. At least they're spacing things out for me this time with this.. then a few winter OT sets... then the SH line. I'm expecting next summer wave to be horrific again for my wallet!
  23. Are you referring to the vehicle in general or has there been any show of the Lego build for it?
  24. I've used it for around 6 or 7 orders. I used a credit card that is due to expire and that I very rarely use... Just to be sure. All orders have arrived in good time and in good condition... I don't think AliExpress is a dodgy site... It's a sub-site of Alibaba which is just a large, sourcing site for any kind of product. The issues people have had with it (and probably where any kind of dodgy feedback comes from) is people buying things really cheap then complaining that it's not the finest product they've ever received... with these figures you know what you're getting so you face the fact that there might be the occasional quality control issue with print etc. Just use a seller that's got a good feedback rating is it makes you feel any easier about ordering.
  25. The head on the Nightwing is actually the worse print out of the set. It's just a little too heavy and maniacal. I'll have to see about replacing that one on my set. If I do you can always have my one!
