  1. It kind of depends how well they're done. I'm not really interested if they haven't appeared in a comic/movie in some way... but if they're of SY quality then it's a curiosity thing that kind of makes you want to pick up interesting, but well made, figures. If it's Doll or Lele quality it's a very easy pass.
  2. It certainly looks a beast. I'll be interested to see how people react to the scaling with those Quinjets. Now comes the question of the minifigs. I'm still thinking around 5-6 of them. Ninja'd! I didn't see that as an Iron Man microfigure. If it is then it's certainly something that'll be worrying those that wanted a Death Star/Ewok Village style army of figures to come with it. I can't see them doing both minifigures and microfigures in the one set... they wouldn't would they?! Unless the micro figures are there as a play feature whereas they'll give a couple of minifigures to sit with the display stand as with the Tumbler. The bridge area looks 4 studs wide so that's not big enough for a minifig... the rear landing deck/ramp would have to be something that could lift off to reveal a lab or control area... maybe even a big chunk of the whole central landing strip could be removable? That reveal (when it actually happens) will have people cheering for joy or screaming at their computer screens in derision.
  3. SDCC Rocket was never an exclusive figure though. Same with the figures in the SDCC '66 Batmobile were just those from the Juniors Batcave and Bard was just a preview figure from the Attack on Laketown set. Collector, Batman of ZEA and Kitty were exclusives though. I'm still just waiting for someone to do a decent copy of the 2011 SDCC Batman... then maybe the 2013 Spiderwpman.
  4. I think he's just a buyer to toys... I think he uses the proceeds raised from his Youtube account to buy the toys he reviews on there... so essentially he's a toy collector who funds his hobby by reviewing them online.
  5. The thing that confuses me a little with Digger is a slight lack of knowledge sometimes in what he's reviewing. To be honest he should know that the Daredevil is the NACM figure and that it's an accurate clone of it and he should know that the Beast figure is a copy of a recent EclipseGrafx design. The Ant Man figure is classic comic design and the Lego version will be movie based so they're completely different things. I pretty much always replace heads on my bootlegs with genuine Lego ones and I know which head I'm going to use to work with Antman so that fixes that issue. Wolverine is a weird one... the helmet is iffy and the eye issue is terrible. I'll probably switch the head, helmet and claws from a Decool version to sell them on anyway as I've got the Lego version... Loki and Magneto... well... they're just fillers. Even if I keep 9 of the figures from both sets and sell the other figures on for £1 each then the ones I want cost me around 60p each in total. I'll take that all day long.
  6. Well my tracking code is now working for my order which includes both the 8 figure SH sets, the Iron Man set and the Expendables set. Fingers crossed!
  7. Ha... yeah... that's true. I am kind of overrun with Harrys myself! The world would be a much more chilled out place if armies were made up of Shaggys and Scoobys!
  8. I think it's also down to how they can arrange the distribution of minifigs too. Will they always include a member of the team in a set? There's a chance that a second wave... or even third wave would then mean the figures in the expensive sets would then appear in the cheaper sets. We're still probably looking at having 3 maybe 4 Shaggy and Scooby figs in this wave alone. I don't think anyone wants 10 or so of the same fig after 3 waves of a theme... that's the thing about the gang... they're pretty much always just dressed the same.
  9. Yeah... that's not far off for me too. I remember seeing it on S@H before the Lego store opened here in Liverpool and I though it was amazing. It wasn't until the VIP event in November 2013 that I was able to pick it up with a discount. Glad I did as it retired not long after I think... It's just one of those builds that'll work for any Monster/Haunted theme. The Scooby Gang would work great in it and having the Mystery Machine parked up outside will look great. I'd actually bought my 5 yr old daughter a couple of the Character Building figures so she'll be really happy to get some Lego Scooby characters... although in reality I don't think she sees that much difference in them to be honest.
  10. Yeah... the Spooky Mansion has some nice elements to it but it'll be hard to ever beat the Haunted Mansion from the Monster Fighters theme.... that's just one of my favourite sets from any line... ever!
  11. No argument from me. I hoped the emoticons showed it was very tongue in cheek. I liked Monster Fighters... As with any Monster based theme aimed at Children once they've gone through the roster of monster types the line will pretty much come to an end.. Vampires, Werewolves, Zombies, Mummies, Swamp Creatures, Frankenstein's Monster, Ghosts, Witches... We had all of those in the first wave... so it was pretty much done. I like the Monster Fighters team... but ultimately they'll take second stage to the monsters who are the real stars of the line. Whether the Scooby line last for very long is up for debate... yes there's a long history of villains and monsters for them to draw from but you're going to have a LOT of Shaggys and Scoobys if you carry on the line in the same vain of this wave. They could always start to add Mystery Inc elements as someone has hoped for in the thread but it's just up to TLG and WB.
  12. Yeah... they've all got that hair mould VERY wrong. I'll be spraying that part of Cyborg's helmet all black with some vinyl dye. the colouring does look a bit off on that part. I'll probably spray up Antman's boots properly too while I'm at it.
  13. Yeah... but Monster Fighters, as the title suggests, was about monsters being real and there being some super tough people to fight them. Scooby Doo is about people being dressed as monsters and some school kids, including a talking dog, being scared of them and basically proving they were just just people dressed up while catching them in an overly elaborate trap... often by complete accident. For me, the talking dog bit is the big clue for me to suspend my belief in reality and just enjoy it. Besides... Monster Fighters didn't have Velma Dinkley... so Scooby wins.
  14. The thing with Cyborg is it's a pretty accurate rendition of the LB2 game version. The official figure is the LB3 version. I quite like it for this reason. Galactus is s good figure... Scaling isn't right obviously but it's a pretty good minifig version. The Daredevil figure is a pretty good copy of the NACM. I've got the Muddy River game version so it's nice to add this one.
  15. If there's a particular cmf I want I either feel for it or ask a staff member and they feel for it if they don't have any pre sorted under the counter (which they often do).
  16. So Velma and Daphne from the Scooby line get really nice leg printing that goes round the sides with nice new custom hair moulds. Cue footstampy meltdown from the Scarlet Witch (and other Super Heroes) Fanclub. ;)
  17. Velma Dinkley!! Be still my beating heart! I'm loving that figure!
  18. There's only 2 figures that overlap on the SY waves... and one of those is actually just a clone of the Lego Plastic Man rather than the 'elongated' version that SY is releasing. Daredevil is the only complete copy from the SY range. I'm waiting on my Phoenix Customs' Collector so I'll be able to pass on this one but the Electro might be interesting. No desire to pick the others up as I have the Lego versions of them.
  19. WINNER! I wholeheartedly agree with the comments above. This may not be the biggest MOC of the cantina or even one that's trying to be the most movie accurate but everything about this MOC is right.... and that's on the surrounding details never mind the actual cantina area itself. A lovely build! Thanks for sharing it with us!
  20. If that's real... and there's actually no reason to bout that it is... then that looks fantastic.
  21. I take it the Juniors set with Green Goblin is small 2 figure set with Spidey again similar to the Venom set? That was £12 or so while the Batcave was a larger set with 3 figures for £30. Are we looking at another small set?
  22. From what I've read I was under the impression it was a classic Rhino minifig that fits into a mech... Otherwise I don't think the figure would have even called Rhino... Maybe I've misunderstood but that's how I've got it in my head. I hope that's true...
  23. There's also the chance that working from concept artwork can skew the colour palette a little... hence the differences. I don't think anyone needs to see concept artwork for a Scooby line to know what colour things are meant to be.
  24. They very well may be some initial brick sketches they gave an intern to work on in Billund... the same way I've given work placement students a brief to work on that the rest of the studio has in as a live job. We'll always look at the student's work and give them feedback but the chances of any of it getting to the client are very slim. She may have been given the title of the set and asked to work something up with the brick trays but I wouldn't worry about any aspect of these going into the final designs.
  25. There's a very good chance you won't see pictures as they're simply not allowed. I assume that if you wanted to be a smart-big behind and take pictures then you run the risk of being escorted off the premises.
