LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Roebuck replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
One of the best things with the CMF theme is it huge budget and sometimes they make use of that budget to make other sets with a lower budget better A few examples on top of my head: Series 20 pirate match nicely with the Barracuda bay set and the hat/hair is Used in B-bay for Robin Loot as a recolor: Series 22 Horse and Groom match perfectly with the horse transporter set, even if the parts are not used in the set Series 22 bard must be the most used in a following set to date? 10305 Lion Knights' Castle, uses the head for the baker, hat for the farmer and torso for the boy: in addition the coins and lute are included in the set, so only the feather plume and legs are not reused Hope they continue to do this in the future Do you know of any other examples? -
10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set
Roebuck replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
The main reason people keep nagging for a king is the false rumor of the set name; Lion King’s Castle. Had the proper name; Lion Knights' Castle leaked instead, most people would not expect any monarch at all and the queen would be a bonus. Now instead it seems that some people think that the king was swapped with the queen in the last minute and feel cheated. There was no budget for a king, just look at the wizard to see the budget was used up on these parts: Probably used the budget from this set for the forestmen shield and torso also. The 3 minifig heads I would not be surprised if came in other sets since it make little sense in using budget on them here. Is not the middle one from the CMF bard, if so all the parts for it is in the set(a excellent way to use the CMF budget to make this set better then)? Edit the CMF bards legs and feather plume is not used in the set I think- 2,976 replies

10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set
Roebuck replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I am sure quite a few kids will get this as a gift, to a lot of people today 400$ are not a lot to spend on a gift for a kid This was definitely not the case when I was a kid (maybe one of the reasons I buy Lego today since I can buy the big sets we could not afford when I was young). Best regards Grumpy old man- 2,976 replies

10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set
Roebuck replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I guess if you are a MOC builder the part is probably more appealing, if you are not like me then a new display piece like the goat etc would be more useful. I think that a lot of the people that are interested in the goat is interested in the set anyway, however I am sure if the set had goats some people being on the fence would buy it. 2 goats cost over 100$ now so then 400$ for the castle would not seem so expensive with them included (of course the value of the new goats would not be 50€ anymore) The problem now is with the new system they have removed every 2022 part, so even new parts from January are not added. So the question is when if ever they add the 2022 parts not only to the castle, but every other set from this year Yes, sheep normally have more than one lamb as well, so are going to need a hole flock of them to go with my sheep herd- 2,976 replies

10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set
Roebuck replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
They actually had the budget for a new part and a am sure some designers would have given us a goat, a new weapon or another part specific to the Caste theme however the actual designers of the set instead gave us a brick useful for a wider range of sets: Not so sure I agree with that decision since this was the first Castle set in 10 years with the budget to make a new part Apparently it was a cat that was swapped out for a lamb in the last minute (the press release say a cat is included). They probably only had the budget for one more animal and choose the lamb since it was new (instead of the sheep that had been in a couple of sets). I agree with that decision, even if the single lamb look a little lost with out an adult sheep. A calf or foal (both new this year) would fit better in since the adult animals are in the set I think they both should have been included, but I agree that this was a wasted opportunity to make a new goat- 2,976 replies

10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set
Roebuck replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
If I remember correctly wolfpack was one of the Castle sub-themes that got fewest votes in competition. That does of course not mean much they way the poll was set up. Maybe a wolfpack raid on a MMV/MVR type of set could happen I guess it depends on how well the castle sells if we get any more sets, the b-bay set was sold out for months at the time, but we have unfortunately not gotten any more Pirates set since then- 2,976 replies

Other than the price, too few animals and weapons it looks like the set only get praise from the reviews that I have read so that is excellent This review state that it is 10 animals in the set: https://zusammengebaut.com/lego-10305-lion-knights-castle-im-review-151320/ I was sure that must have been wrong since we have only seen 5, however it turns out it has a couple of bats and 3 frogs hidden as well- 2,976 replies

They are called the black falcons, but only a few have been black, most of them blue and now we got some red ones. It is not like the forestmen have the same color either -
Lego City 2022 Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion
Roebuck replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
Compared to all the other animals we have gotten the last 2 years in City that is only a minor set back It was not so long a go a CMF series with no animals would have been a much bigger disaster since one of your best chances for new animals that year was gone -

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
Roebuck replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
None, but I will probably buy a lot e.g. of the farm set instead of just 1 if the animals do not show up in B&P. Just the cow and calf cost around 20$ on BL so it is better to buy the set once it go on sale at a decent discount. Are we sure the parts are not there because it is affecting set sales in a bad way or has it something to do with the fact that they did get so many orders that they where overwhelmed -
10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set
Roebuck replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
We have gotten so few Castle sets the last decade that it is a little frustrating that they are not close enough in scale to be displayed together The blacksmith was a MOC made into a Lego set and that is fine, but the scale only works for MOCs where the creators have a huge number of bricks to make other buildings in the same scale. I hope and think the next Lego Castle sets will be in system scale. Something to expand the village of MMV and MVR would be a dream come true, but I guess it depends a lot on how much the castle sells- 2,976 replies

Lego City 2022 Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion

I came across this rather fitting and honest sale stand in the toy shop that has them in Norway exclusive for 2 months: "Vær først" means "be first" Be first (over the finish line) or wait and save some money -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Roebuck replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
If I remember correctly some years ago people was sharing weights of the CMF figs so people could weigh them in the shop to separate them (maybe after they removed the identifying dots). I assume the method was "forgotten" since most of the CMF hunters learned to feel the bags and that was more convenient than carrying a weigh around when shopping. It may get its renaissance now, on one hand it may be a little embarrassing at times to feel the bags, but on the other hand start weighing them is down rate suspicious behaviour -

In Norway they are exclusive for 2 months, but could be for 1 in other countries, anyway really happy it is only a limited period because I want as much competition as possible on those sets to lower the price Edit. Looks like they are showing more places here as well now, maybe webshops with the warehouse abroad? The wildlife sets are on sale is several shops here as well, so might be a good time to get them before they are gone, could be 20 years until the elephants show up again after all -

Was smaller then I expected compered to the Hogwarts Castle People say Hogwarts have a lot of small parts, but the 1500 extra part are really showing in my mind, on the other hand we get over 15 figs more an some animals with the Lion knights castle- 2,976 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Roebuck replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
The thing is that 80% of the Lego is bought by or for kids and I am sure most of them do not feel the bags so for them it do not matter much.. The 20% that is left are us and even if most of us are not happy about the change and will stop buying them in shops if we are not sure what we are getting most of us will keep buying the figs from BL etc. If the AFOL impulse sale(really the point of this sets) in local shops dry up completely and we buy 25% or even 50% less figs in total, the overall sale would only go down 5 or 10% and that is probably a price Lego will pay to reach their sustainability goals However if they put e.g. the number of the fig discreetly on the box not only would they keep the sales, but they would increase. After all it can be slightly embarrassing to feel the bags in shops (the exception being Lego shops), if we instead could have a quick look at the box that would be better and faster -

If you mean the interior, the first modulars made at the same time did not have a lot if anything either, so if those sets would be made today I am sure they would have a interior at the same level as the castle. If you mean exterior, the buildings is a lot smaller than modulars etc maybe max 700 parts per building so no wonder the details are fewer. Regarding Friends and Creator 3-in 1 sets, I will not say they are any less detailed then sets from those themes 10-15 year ago. Maybe today, but that is not so strange with Lego sets getting more details every year My main point is that I think MVR and MMV will fit With the castle and looking forward to seeing the displays with them together- 2,976 replies

Roebuck replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Yes it is in scale with modulars etc, but not other Castle sets and the scale really do not work in a castle setting since sets like castles need to be HUGE to match it. However it is a nice set and I think the designers did a good job making it a little smaller then the original submission..- 2,976 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Roebuck replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I am not sure, however Lego stores should really start with this big time. Either have open figs that people can buy or they can buy a fig, if they do not want it just swap it with one they want. If they do it they must make sure only to swap mint CMF with mint CMF not like in Legoland where kids (and adults) can just grab the worst one they have and swap that so after some time it is only trash left..
