  1. Yes hopefully The CMF have a hole different budget, but I assume they have dialogue across different themes. So if the set team come to the CMF team and say; look we really want to make a new Mrs. Norris and Fang, but we have used up the budget, is that something you could include in the CMF? Or the other way around, the CMF team say to the set team; We are planning to include a Mrs. Norris and Fang in the CMF, please do not include them in any sets
  2. It looks like they are planing to give her a unique print, since she was not included in the WW set, If they where planning to use a normal cat they could just have put one in the set.. It seems that Lego have been updating every old animal mould the last years, so I think it is not a option to reuse a old animal mould in a set now.. I do not mind since the updates are always better looking, but not sure why they do it some are very similar to the old mould.. Could be that the old moulds do not fit into the moulding machine any more perhaps
  3. If they make the assumed D2C Hogwarts based only on year 1-2 it is probably included there, personally I think it is more likely it is from all the films, so then we have to wait for a future wave with a set which most likely will come sooner or later Several of the animals that are brick built this wave could definitely get a mould in a future wave. Lego overspent the budget on this wave, so they needed to prioritize witch animals and other parts they should mould this time around. I think these 3 have the best chance of getting a new mould in a future set; 1 fawkes, 2 occamy (small), 3 basilisk, but we are still missing animals like Fang and Mrs Norris also.. Next wave will have a new fresh budget with all of the first priority parts already made. On the other hand if next wave is from 3-4 films there is a lot of animals that need to be made: Buckbeak Hungarian horntail Padfoot Werewolf Crookshanks Pigwidgeon Abraxan Merpeople (probably minifig) (Ferret and Grindylow ) In addition to fantastic beast of every kind from FB Yes it definitely would be a beauty to behold
  4. No, not unless it is Harry Potter (not very likely with a second series that fast), I prefer the normal regular series
  5. It definitely might be unless they are planning to keep the sets on storage until August The buyer has built it already I see and posted pictures among other things of the manual. Not so surprising no new sets or CMF there, but I like that they put the small animal moulds in the line up with the figs
  6. I said the most memorable train scene, not that the other movies did not have good scenes in connection with the train.. Also they want bad guys in the sets, that's why they put the basilisk in the GH and probably why they put the dementor in the train. The trolly witch is also in the 4 film at least, but even if she is not in a scene in the 3 film, there is no doubt that she is on the train selling sweets Page 200
  7. Well basically it is 1-2, the only reason they put in a set from 3 is in my opinion since they wanted to include the train and the 3 film had the most memorable train scene. If you see the interview with the designer he also more or less confirms this, they wanted to make sets from the 2 first movies, so they can save something for future waves. Next wave most likely will be 3-4, they are in this for the long run this time
  8. Let's hope so One of the things I am most eager to know about the CMF is not necessarily the figs we are getting, but where they are from! is the figs only from HP or both HP and FB are the figs from film/book 1 and 2 or random from the series It is called wizarding world so that should point to the inclusion of FB to merge it more with HP, but on the other hand so far they seem to be betting most of their money on the safe HP-horse.. So far it has been 1-2 and if they keep that up in the CMF the likelihood of seeing future WW CMFs are higher, but the TRU figs set point in the other direction They definitely need 22 unique figs and that is easier to do if you have more to chose from, no way they are putting 15 figs in the same school uniform with a different house and accessories in the CMF..
  9. Thanks for the nice overview, more or less what they told me also.. That mammoth sure not going to be cheep if the trunk is 1,68, head maybe around 5 and body close to 10
  10. Well I assume the last wave of Arctic sold well since it is back so soon. HP is the most asked for theme that are not in production in Lego shops around the world, so that helped a lot I guess, and there is also the fantastic beast movies being made.. The farm sub-theme was great and I hope for a comeback next year as well, the more animals moulds the merrier
  11. I agree, they probably keep it a secret so the muggles can buy the normal sets for a couple of months happily unaware of its existence. That a few AFOL-wizards know about it won't influence sales much, but a lot of parents are in for a nasty bludger leading up to the x-mas shopping Hopefully you are right
  12. Probably asked this before, but when can we expect to see CMF leaks (pictures or at least a legit list of figs), 1 August is not that far away Series 18 leaked several months before the release did it not?! The D2C have a small chance of leaking on SDCC I guess
  13. From the pictures it looks identical to last Arctic wave.. There was a early leak which had a tan face, but that made no sense since it is not realistic.. White or blood-red is the only right face colour, but the latter is not very likely in Lego
  14. Limited, new etc who knows, but you can order around 15 different pieces (and up to 200 each) on the phone.. If you are planning to order a lot, then order all the parts you can online first, then just after that call in and add the ones that are not online to your existing order For news on available parts, have a look in this tread:
  15. Thanks for the tip! I have been eagerly awaiting the WW interviews popping up Very interesting, but to bad he used half the time on translating So no doubt that the Hogwarts parts are made to fit with future parts, but if that is the D2C sound more dubious.. Off course they are trained to avoid spoilers, so it do not mean much.. If the designers do not know if there is a second wave yet, I guess it is less likely that it will turn up early next year Also interesting to get confirmed that one of the reason they are bringing back HP is because of all the people asking for it in shops around the world, this must be a best-seller
  16. Well sometimes Lego make sets that have been rejected in Ideas, but as I said slim chance A Hogwarts express in about 5 years is more likely
  17. I think it is a 60% chance you will be eating words for dinner this year then It is not that simple! When Lego bring back a old theme after several years off the marked they often make versions of sets they know are popular from previous waves. In this theme that usually means Hogwarts and Hogwarts express (and several others). 2010-11 was not the first time we had most of those sets, but it also had unique items like The Burrow.. It is the same this time around, it is not a recreation of last wave, but every former HP wave.. As the waves keep coming more and more unique sets will be made for the first time, but also earlier sets like Diagon Alley will most likely return sooner or later. On the other hand if we only get one wave of sets, most of them will return next time we get a new wave in the future.. So better hope they make a lot of waves this time Yes! The 100 + 80 is only a small part of Hogwarts, you can add a lot of similar parts before the castle is somewhere near finished (or as I think add a $500 part and get somewhere)
  18. Most likely because they are making another huge D2C set for the theme Thomas the Tank Engine would most likely end up as duplo or juniors sets, so would be of little help in lunching a new D2C train.. Back to the future have a slim chance for a crossover maybe
  19. Yes, it is almost certain that it is Hogwarts, but if (most likely) the sets sell well we can get a second D2C in a future wave, then it is more open what kind of sets it is. This round I think it is given, the big question is if it will connect to the normal sets or not
  20. It still is not listed, but I guess it will be in a month.. Jepp, no point buying the old when we got a updated mould
  21. I guess the boy in the first film have gone in to the dark age, the Lego are probably just collecting dust and in comes the little sister with minidolls starting to plunder the collection.. The fist film had a lot of nice fanciful sets, but I only got some minifigs, so I assume I will get the same this time, but hard to predict with this theme.. Maybe we can get a new vulture mould for the dark age land
  22. I tried calling in an order now, not much luck I am afraid The eagle, mammoth and Saber-toothed tiger are not available until next month.. The rat for some reason is and the price is around 1,6$ Also asked for the seagull and it was around 2,68$, but I have a flock already so did not buy it with that price Edit: Forgot to mention that I ordered red/yellow spiders and white parrots on web first, they where all rather cheap surprisingly enough
  23. How do you know?! Personally I will not be surprised if they fit inside.. Well supposedly it has 694 pieces I always wait for sales when buying Lego For once a rumour was correct in this tread! It is no secret that I prefer moulded animals over brick built, but the designers have done a good job with them here. It is also a good chance we will get a moulded Occamy in a "normal" size in a future CMF or set I think.. If not the HP/FB sets sell like hot cakes both to kids and AFOLs I will be very surprised; what a line-up of sets Lego have given us (and we are still missing CMF and D2C)
