  1. I was doing some research on Brickset/Bricklink and it looks like it was actually introduced in 2015 with that amazing wave that included the Justice League sets. I personally think the CMF cowl is too Golden Age Batman and doesn’t really reflect present-day Batman. It’s a rad mold, though. It would be a great piece for an X-Force Wolverine.
  2. I agree with all of this. I had to make some changes to the Batmobile because some of it just didn’t look right but it’s still a great little set. I think including the Black Widow printed arms and using the newer cowl with the small horns and the printed black head is a significant improvement for the minifigure. My desire for the new DC set is to get a new Batman minifigure. We know Batman’s obviously going to be in it so I’m hoping they don’t go with the usual Rebirth suit. I hope the oval makes a return with the gray suit, like it did in the comics: https://images.app.goo.gl/jWECPrApJrrH3wXKA I’d love it if they used the Lee Bermejo suit or the White Knight suit but I realize that probably unlikely. It’d also be cool if we got a new cowl piece. How long has Lego been using the most recent one with the short horns? Since the BvS sets or earlier?
  3. Huzzah 76209 is a DC set! Would be cool to get a The Dark Knight Rises The Bat vs Bane Tumbler or something like that but I think I’ll just plan on something similar to 76160 - Bat Mobile Base lol
  4. Where is the reliable source for these rumors coming from? Not saying I doubt it, but I’m going to wait for falcon’s confirmation before I get too excited.
  5. Hahaha ah man, call it desperation but I’ve been rooting for a Batman vs Swamp Thing with a Bat monster truck and buzz saws on the front of it since day one! That would be AMAZING. You’re not wrong, though, we get pretty desperate in the DC thread when there aren’t really any rumors going on.
  6. Oh, cool. Finally a Moon Knight minifig!!! I know all this is heavy speculation but I hope IF we do get a Moon Knight minifig in the CMF that they’ll give us a new mold for MK’s hood. The flap in the front is a necessity. He’s alive!!!!! Welcome back!
  7. I really hope these rumors are true. It means we could get an Garfield minifig in the NWH set and a Tobey minifig in upcoming Tobey sets. I wonder if the second Marvel CMF wave would focus on Disney+ shows again or visit the movies. 🤔
  8. Take those Raimi Spider-Man rumors with a grain of salt. We’re not sure if they’re true yet. That being said, I wouldn’t put it past TLG to make sets based on previous movies. They’ve already done that with the 66 Batman sets, 89 Batman sets and the TDK Batman sets. I think a UCS version of The Batman is only a matter of time. I hope TLG focuses on the upcoming movies, though. Lot’s of cool possibilities for some great sets.
  9. If we get a No Way Home set, do we think we’ll get Maguire and Garfield? I could see that being extremely wishful thinking and just getting Holland with some villains. Really hope I’m wrong.
  10. I also really enjoyed the show. I think it’s been one of the best series yet. The intro to Echo was excellent. There were a lot of nods to my favorite Hawkeye comic as well. Makes sense considering Matt Fraction was a consulting producer on the show. I also love Green Goblin’s costume and its accuracy to the comics. Hope we get it in Lego form as well. If not, I’ve seen some excellent customs made out of official Lego pieces on Instagram.
  11. I’ve been looking for a good version of this after recently beating the game and this is excellent! I think you did a superb job with the rear. I don’t think I could do any better but the cockpit seems off. I think windscreen 22483 (https://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=22483&in=S) would be excellent for the cockpit in transparent black.
  12. The movie is horrible but the set is great. I’d say that the WW in her golden eagle armor is worth the $15 itself. Go for it!
  13. That Val-Zod looks great! Happy to see that they’re making good use of the Falcon Cap hair. I friggin hate the one hole cape, though. Hate that it’s become the regular cape for minifigures.
  14. Maybe Disney/Marvel provided the wrong name purposefully to throw people astray from who the main baddie is..? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Seems unlikely, though.
  15. We’re just gonna have to disagree here and leave it at that ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Nice to know you can leave leaks out of the conversation for once. Sounds good. This is wishful thinking but I would love it if the 100€ set was Thor related even if it wasn’t a Love and Thunder set. I would love to get some form of Asgard, I don’t think that price would do Asgard enough justice, though. Really pumped to see Jane Foster’s Thor! Love and Thunder is probably my most anticipated movie of 2022. I’m a huge Taika fan.
  16. Once again, you’re giving information about a movie that is yet to come out and hasn’t many substantial leaks. Cool your jets and decide this information after you’ve seen the movie. You can think your “sources” are reliable with these leaks but the fact is this movie isn’t out yet and we have no idea if Scarlet Witch will have a more prominent role than the character this movie is named after. Stop assuming with hypothetical information. EXACTLY. This is getting hell-a tiresome. And of course, adding another minifigure to the set would increase the price. Sure, there’s been sets with a similar piece count and price with more minifigs but at the end of the day you’re looking at a unique minifig (CMF SW) with a new printed torso and legs, new hair piece mold, dual molded arms, etc.. We could get a Scarlet Witch with different printing to keep the cost but it wouldn’t be exciting and it would most definitely have the infamous hairpiece that almost all female minifigures use (https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=85974&idColor=88#T=C&C=88).
  17. Agreed. It’s not a necessary minifigure for the set and I’d rather keep the price down, especially for a minifigure that already exists and is pretty easy to get a hold of.
  18. Even if they did include Scarlet Witch, no way they would’ve made any updates to her, even if they were slight updates. Her look in Doctor Strange 2 is too similar to her look in WandaVision to justify an update. Not saying I don’t agree that she shouldn’t have been included in the set. Kind of silly she’s on the box art but not in the set.
  19. Bingo! You’re spot on with all of them. @Hoth Rebel I got the TLBM pizza Scarecrow and just erased the printing with a pencil. It was really simple.
  20. I just discovered this topic and it might be my favorite one yet! You'll have to forgive me, I'm going to be posting a lot of photos on here and asking for a lot of help. Infinity War: Black Widow, Nomad, White Wolf (Definitely took advice from @lego_guyon02 on the hair for Nomad so thanks! Don't know who to give credit to but Nomad's shields were not my idea. Found on Instagram but don't remember. Feel free to give credit if you know who): Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch (Didn't change anything with the CMF SW except for giving her the Civil War cloth piece): Infinity War Thor, Endgame Thor, Valkyrie: Hawkeye and Ronin: Guardians of the Galaxy (only minifig I really modded was Star-Lord and I gave Mantis new legs): Iron Fist, Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Punisher: Okoye, Black Panther, Shuri, Nakia: Katy, Shang-Chi, Xialing, Wenwu: Taskmaster, Black Widow, Red Guardian, Yelena Belova (RG's helmet is obviously a knockoff but I couldn't resist ): Vulture (updated legs with talons and holding a Chitauri gun): Thena, Ikaris, Sprite: Silvie: Sorry for the fig barf, guys, I was just really excited to show you my collection. I love updating my minifigures and making them look more awesome. @lego_guyon02, I've gotta ask, I'm trying to update my Nakia and was wondering what legs you used for yours. Looks great! Also, will probably use your idea and update Ikaris's arms to the dark blue, @lego_guyon02. I think that looks (insert chef's emoji kiss here).
  21. I agree with mostly what you’ve said here. I think what DC has over Marvel, and what Lego should be feeding off of, is nostalgia. DC has all these great movies and tv series that people absolutely love. If Lego would continue releasing sets like the recent Tumbler and the 66 Batmobile, I think the theme would sell amazingly. Visiting Batman: The Animated Series and Batman Beyond would be so cool and people would buy. I have a few coworkers that haven’t collected Lego since childhood but are now rediscovering Lego because of the 89 Batman sets. I get Lego fans are sick of bat vehicles but they sell like hotcakes and there’s still so much more to explore if Lego would visit Bruce Timm’s universe, revisit Christopher Nolan’s universe and (dare I say) even Joel Schumacher’s universe.
  22. I agree, the Captain Carter is excellent! And those arms and legs really enhance the Steve Rogers Cap. That’s a bummer you didn’t like the T’challa/Star-Lord minifig. It’s one of my favs! I bought two so I could give my Quill/Star-Lord the dual molded/printed legs. I’m surprised Monica is your most hyped minifig. It’s a fine minifig, the arms and legs without printing just doesn’t make the minifig as exciting for me. Some gray design on the arms’ sleeves would’ve been acceptable but not necessary. I get all minifigs can’t have arm printing so it is what it is. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Glad you managed to find some minifigs, though! I’ve gotten lucky in my search and have been able to collect all of them. They’re really hard to find where I’m at.
  23. A Kyle Rayner Green Lantern mech would be rad, too.
  24. Switching the hip piece isn’t as difficult as it seems or cause any damage if you’re careful. I’m definitely planning on switching out the hip piece when I get the Wolvie mech.
