DC Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

Awesome, sounds good. Really happy I’m not gonna have to purchase the bigger Tumbler. I’ve already got the first version and can’t imagine they’re going to be drastically different. -

Is there still a slight chance the smaller Tumbler could be a GWP with the D2C/UCS Tumbler or has that rumor “officially” been debunked by leakers? -

Well definitely an agree to disagree discussion and nothing wrong with that! You can have your Schumacher Batman and I’ll take my Burton Batman 😘 -

Sounds like we’ve got a Lego employee informant in this forum. 😛 Put in a word with Lego for a decent Wasp headpiece, will ya? Oh, and a stealth suit Cap 😆 -

Dude, I’m also pumped for The Batman sets. So excited to get that Batmobile in Lego form. I hope it’s got a similar build to Gervant Triviiskiy’s design. If not, I’m going to build his. I also hope we get a new mold for Battinson’s cowl but I’m not holding my breath. I also saw the leaked video yesterday and I’m crazy excited. I doubt we’ll see a rerelease of 40433 but it’s always a possibility Lego will make a Flash set with the 89 Batmobile in it. Lego likes its vehicles. I guess it really depends on how much screen time the Batmobile gets. -

I think the biggest reason why I shun them is the behind-the-scenes of why they were made. Tim Burton had made two phenomenal movies (I still think they hold up but that’s a different conversation), that really captured the Frank Miller gritty, edgy Batman tone and Warner Bros was into selling happy meal toys. Burton was dropped so Keaton left and in comes Schumacher. Hence, why Batman’s suits change a couple times in both movies. They wanted to sell a buttload action figures. Poor writing, poor acting (even from top performers) and poor directing. I think 66 Batman is easily more watchable and worthwhile than Schumacher’s Batman. End of my Schumacher Batman hate. 😛 -

I’d like this if I could 👍 Same here. Probably my most hyped set of the year. -

I was mostly just trying to be funny and was afraid it would come off that way. 😬 I’m not necessarily opposed to getting a set. Maybe the Batman Forever Batmobile. But there are (at least) 50 other DC sets I’d want before we get any representation of Schumacher’s Batman in the Lego form. -

Question: With the set inspired by Homecoming, does that mean the golden Spider-Man is only a concept suit that Lego included in the set for funsies, or is there a chance we’ll see that suit in FFH? -

I don’t care for Superman’s hair on Star-Lord. Personally, I don’t care for it on a Superman minifig lol. Something about it is just off. Maybe I’ll feel different about it when I see it in person. It’s really a shame his helmet didn’t come with the set, though. Also, thanks for starting to use the spoiler tags, everyone. I haven’t seen the most recent episode yet, either. I’m pumped to sit down and watch it tonight! 😁 -

I managed to finally find the Classic Batmobile and it's great! I put it next to the Batmobile that came with the cave and it's much more sleek and I love the option to remove the stud shooters on the hood. The Batman from the cave, however, is much better, with the dual molded legs rather than the printed legs. -

You’re right. I apologize for coming off harsh. Talking through words is a little bit more complicating than having a face-to-face conversation. I’m not trying to come off as a dick here (so I apologize if it sounds that way) but all the characters you’ve given are CGI and just small cameos that won’t be in their own movies (Watchers, Howard the Duck, Abomination). Those types of characters were surprises but not as nearly as significant as a character like Wolverine. I’m just saying when we get a cameo or portrayal of him in a movie, it’s likely this won’t be a big hush, hush secret. Just like Black Knight, Moon Knight, Mz Marvel, She-Hulk, etc. And I think if they try to hide it, the chances are the cat’s gonna get out of the bag (like Ahsoka). Once again, I sincerely apologize. Wasn’t trying to come off as a dick but clearly I failed miserably. This is a forum to discuss a hobby that we all enjoy and not to argue at petty, stupid stuff. I will stop. Hope you have a good day as well. -

Ooooo I agree with your first statement. A Batgirl of Burnside minifig would be great! I ended up getting the recent 4+ Batman set for the Batgirl Rebirth minifig and to better modify my Iron Man’s Model A from the armory set. The Batgirl Rebirth minifig didn’t disappoint. I think it’s a great minifig. These are very accurate analyses. The 2014 Batgirl face is horrid. -

It’s the way you’re approaching it that makes it childish. We can debate and have civil conversations but the way you’re talking is quite laughable and really ridiculous. Also, I’d love you to give me an example of an MCU character that’s appeared in a movie that we didn’t know about. We always know about a character before they make their appearance in a movie. Heck, even the Endgame and Infinity War plots and endings could be found on the internet before the release of the movies. I’d love to be as naive as you, I think I’d enjoy the Marvel movies a little bit more with the element of surprise lol I do want to say this: I’d love to be wrong. I’d love to see Wolvie in the MCU sooner than later but it’s not going to happen until there’s a casting announcement. Maybe we’ll see some claw marks on a wall or some mention of a Canadian that fought alongside Cap (if they decide to go with that approach in MCU) but no way we’re seeing a surprise cameo without not knowing it. That’s just how the Internet is these days. If you don’t believe me, Google “Spider-man: No Way Home spoilers”. Man, I had no idea that it was hard to come by. Makes me happy I snagged mine on day 1 but I feel for ya. I would highly recommend following Wario64 on Twitter. He always announces when big/hard-to-find Lego sets are back in stock on Lego.com. Beware, though, he tends to bombard the notifications on my phone because he does the same treatment for movies, video games, toys, etc.. It gets to be a handful sometimes haha -

I agree. I also just don’t think Wolverine would make his first MCU appearance in a Shang-Chi movie. -

The actor for Wolverine would’ve leaked by now unless they were doing a small teaser only showing Wolvie’s backside. That’s not gonna happen, though. -

I agree with you. It’s not perfect but it’s not a bad piece. The only thing I don’t care for is the brown hair color that outlines the crown. It looks off. Other than that, I really like it. -

I’m also one of the few that like the new SW minifigure. Some of you guys seem to know so I’m going to ask. Is there a slight chance that some printing is still missing from the headpiece? It just feels so incomplete. I feel it needs at least a black outline around the crown. -

I disagree. I think for this setting the minifigures are excellent. I’m usually all for the bigfig but no way a bigfig could fit in that set. Plus, I want Korg sitting with Thor enjoying a cold one. Also, Miek is that size during that scene. While what they’ve done with Miek isn’t ideal, it’s the best I can think of without making a new mold (a new mold like Morris would’ve been ideal). I’d agree with you if they were including these characters in the final battle set but it makes the most sense with how they’re presented in this type of set. -

I agree with you. While I’m excited to get this set, I think the selection of minifigures is odd. Drax should’ve definitely been the obvious choice over Thor but I guess the inclusion of an already used minifigure in this wave was inevitable. I know I’m in the vast minority but I really don’t care for the Star-Lord minifigure, either. I think the Superman hair doesn’t fit, the dual molded legs are a little dull without printing and yet another absence of his signature helmet in a set is ridiculous. I get that I’m being a huge stickler but Star-Lord is my fav character in the MCU. Luckily, this is Lego and I can customize my minifig however I want. -

Some official promo art just leaked for Thor: Love and Thunder. Damn, I wish we were getting a Jane Thor minifigure this year.
