  1. No seaside town would be complete without motorcycles parked up at the cafe.
  2. A change in box art doesn't really qualify as rerelease.
  3. I do; Television has ruined my imagination.
  4. This thread has a photo of the two.
  5. Atlanta store got a bunch of damaged boxes. Picked up Grand Emporium and Imperial Flagship for 20% off.
  6. On an aside, this would be the basis of a great Reality-TV show called "The Real Housewives of Fabuland".
  7. A few of the vehicles I think you should have: a high performance Holden version of the american cars, one of those crazy six-wheel Utes you guys have, and maybe a used mad max interceptor police special.
  8. Stunning, love it.
  9. I love when Lego gets creative with the set names like "House With Roof Windows".
  10. Do the lime green RS version.
  11. Traditionally the floor is two plates think. The first is what you want to see and under that is bracing. The bracing can be ugly because you never see it.
  12. In the US dealerships have several cars inside the showroom; you'd have to build it a lot larger for that. Looking good so far and that angled window technique, which is a very simple thing, looks surprisingly good; a variation of it is used on the Queen Anne's Revenge and it makes the rear look so much better.
  13. I wonder anyone with this point of view has city-fied the modular buildings so to speak.
  14. I don't know where you live, but in the US the Prince of Persia sets were available for more than a year. You might be prepared to buy it before your birthday and wait with building it; I say this because there were various general Lego and POP discount sales while the sets were out. The best I scored was 40% off from Borders.com. Don't worry, it will be there for you.
  15. This was in my Easter basket (took advantage of the TRU BOGO deal) and I quite enjoyed putting it together, but thats because I really don't have many pirate sets. I can easily see how AFOLs who have MOCed boats would think this isn't all that good because you use the advanced techniques that hide the flaws this set has. I feel the same way about most Sw and city sets because I have several UCS and Modular homes. regardless, I have to say the minifig printing is topnotch and matches the really good POP figs like Nizam. I think the reason I like this, but not the regular lego boats, is it has a bunch of super cool details like the lanterns, skulls and bones. I even put the stickers on; I have enough regular windows and doors as it is to where I didn't mind stickering the ones in this set. I will say that you could make a really nice UCS version using two QARs and a ton of jumpers.
  16. Impulse Set: Closing Credits $2.99 A couple of tiles, a couple of bricks and a big-megablocks sticker. :D
  17. Its on the "Within A Mile Of Home" album.
  18. I think you did a fantastic job given the bricks you have available.
  19. This is pretty fantastic.
  20. I know right. On a side note, 10179 is significantly better than 7965.
  21. An R2 with a periscope is about as movie accurate as you can get.
  22. I'm of the mind that the Imperial Flagship beats all previous Lego ships. You mean a ship with 600 extra pieces is better? Crazy. I like the set, but I'm not in a crazy rush to get it.
  23. I think they look good. you should try make some Miniland scale people to match them.
  24. This little table scrap is a modification on another builder's basic design. I updated it to reflect one of my bikes.
  25. Looks great. The antenna needs a beacon light on top.
